Properties of nuclei 13,15N and 9B are investigated in the relativistic mean-field theory with NLZ and NL3 force parameters. The calculated binding energies are very close to the experimental ones. The calculations show that the first excited state (1p1/2) in 9B, the first excited state (2s1/2) in 13N and the second excited state (2s1/2) in 15N are weakly bound. In particular, for 13N and 15N, the proton density distributions in the two above excited states have a long tail and the rms radii of the last proton are greatly larger compared with their respective matter radii. It is predicted that a proton halo exists in the first excited state of 13N and in the second excited state of 15N, respectively. It also indicates that the first excited state in 9B is a proton skin state.

To the Editor:The continuous development and maturity of imaging science and technology have made skin imaging one of the essential subspecialties of dermatology.This has had an objective and comprehensive impact in changing the dermatology diagnosis mode.Thus,skin imaging has become one of the diagnostic skills that all dermatologists must master.skin imaging equipment plays a crucial role in clinical and scientific research.It is not only a necessary aid to correct diagnose of skin diseases,but also a crucial link and hardware foundation for skin imaging capacity strengthening.Dermoscopy,reflectance confocal microscopy(RCM)and very high frequency(VHF)skin ultrasound imaging diagnostic system(VHF skin ultra-sound)have become skin imaging equipments commonly used in Chinese dermatological practice.In recent years,with the growing emphasis on dermatology in hospitals at all levels,investment in medical equipment has been increasing and skin imaging equipment has been continuously optimized.As far as we know,there is no literature report on the skin imaging equipment current status in Chinese public hospitals.This study intended to investigate and analyze the current status of skin imaging equipment in the country,and to provide an objective basis for further standardizing and strengthening the development of skin imaging equipment and dermatology construction.In this way,it is expected to lay the foundations to meet clinical needs and achieve the optimal allocation of medical resources.

A spatial distribution of diffuse reflectance produced by obliquely incident light is not centered about the point of light entry. The value of shift in the center of diffuse reflectance is directly related to the absorption coefficient μa and the effective attenuation coefficient μeff. μa and the reduced scattering coefficient μs＇ of human skin tissues in vivo are measured by oblique-incidence reflectometry based on the two-source diffuse theory model. For ten Chinese volunteers aged 15-63 years, μa and μs＇ are noninvasively determined to be 0.029 - 0.075 and 0.52 - 0.97 mm^-1, respectively.

Elucidation of maternal-fetal tolerance mechanisms clarifies the role of regulatory T cells (Treg) in transplant tolerance. This study aim to investigate the effect of pregnancy on paternal skin allograft survival. Flow cytometry techniques, mixed lymphocytes reaction (MLR), PCR, real-time PCR and skin transplantation were key methods. Treg increased significantly from 4.2% before pregnancy to peak at 6.8% day 8 after pregnancy. Both heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) mRNA express high in placenta while low in spleen (Pskin allograft survival in the tested condition.

A novel and compact near-infrared （NIR） Raman system is developed using 785-nm diode laser, volumephase technology （VPT） holographic system, and NIR intensified charge-coupled device （CCD）. Signal-tonoise ratio （SNR） and resolution are improved compared with ordinary acquisition method by a specially designed optical fiber detector and the spectrograph image aberration correction with a parabolic-line fiber array. In 1-5 s, Raman spectra of different parts of Chinese human skin are acquired. Autofluorescence is subtracted from the raw spectrum by polynomial fitting and skin Raman spectrum is then smoothed for further analysis.

Light dose plays an important role in the non-ablative photorejuvenation based on the theory of selective photothermolysis. However, present techniques for determining the light dose in clinical practice are still not accurate enough. We present a new system which monitors the skin tissue response during the laser irradiation in photorejuvenation by measuring the change of the total attenuation coefficient. We also investigate the relationship between the total attenuation coefficient and the energy density, pulse duration, and pulse repetition. In this procedure, the total attenuation coefficient decreases when the light dose increases and the reduction dependes on the light dose. These experimental results indicate that the new system would be a potential tool for accurate light dose determination.

Fish are supposed to be able to adapt to various underwater environments.The mechanical properties of the body of a fish is of essential importance in order to explore the source of high efficiency during fish swimming.We investigate the viscoelastic properties of the fins,muscle and skin of Crucian carp(carassius auratus).A fractional Zener model is used to fit the relaxation force and the results show that the model can describe the relaxation process well.With a Fourier transform,we discuss the response functions of the fins,muscle and skin of Crucian carp under the external excitation of a harmonic force.Comparison of these results with the cruising frequency of Crucian carp shows that the dissipation due to internal viscoelasticity during cruising is small.

Cutaneous metastases from urothelial carcinoma of the bladder are a rare disease. In previous reports, the most common metastatic cutaneous lesions were non-tender nodules on the abdominal skin. We report a patient with bladder urothelial carcinoma with cutaneous metastases initially presenting as right leg and suprapubic lymphedema. Bladder tumor was the incidental finding by magnetic resonance venography. Urothelial carcinoma （clinical stage IV） was diagnosed, and chemotherapy was performed. Extensive painful erythematous plaques with an erysipelas-like appearance located on the suprapubic area, chest and abdomen were noted, and cutaneous metastases were confirmed by histopathology. Subsequently, extensive scrotal and prepuce ulcerative changes developed. This paper reports a rare case of extensive cutaneous metastasis of bladder urothelial carcinoma who presented an interesting clinical course.
