Many key cellular functions are regulated by the interplay of three distinct cytoskeletal networks, made of actin filaments,microtubules, and intermediate filaments(IFs), which is a hitherto poorly investigated area of research. However, there are growing evidence in the last few years showing that the IFs cooperate with actin filaments to exhibit strongly coupled *** review recapitulates our current knowledge on how the crosstalk between IFs and actin filaments modulates the migration properties, mechano-responsiveness and signaling transduction of cells, from both biophysical and biochemical point of view.

Cycladophora davisiana (Radiolarian) contents are counted in two cores of the Ber-ing Sea and correlated well with the oxygen isotopic records of ice in the deep core obtained by the Greenland Ice Sheet Project II (GISP 2) and deep-sea sediments (SPECMAP) of the world oceans. Millennial scale climatic events, for example, Younge Dryas and B?lling/Aller?d events, Heinrich1 and Dansgaard-Oeschger1events, recorded by C. davisiana percents are distin-guished from Core B4-2. C. davisiana events b, c1, c2, d, e1 and e2, respectively, corresponding to oxygen isotopic 2.0, 3.1, 3.3, 4.0, 5.1 and 5.3, are identified from Core B2-9. High resolution re-cords of C. davisian are tuned to the oxygen isotopic records in GISP 2 and SPECMAP and the depth-age frameworks are established in the two cores, supplying a stratigraphic base for future paleoceanographic and paleoclimatic studies. High C. davisiana during the glacial periods in the two cores indicate that they can serve as a proxy of the glacial Subarctic Pacific intermediate Water, which verifies the glacial Subarctic Pacific intermediate Water brought from the Bering Sea.

Regularities of formability of intermediate compounds in binary molten salt systems

The formability of intermediate compounds for thirteen kinds of binary molten salt systems, including 1 179 phase diagrams was discussed by pattern recognition method with bond parameters as features. These systems were MeX Me′X, MeX Me′X 2, MeX Me′X 3, MeX Me′X 4, MeX 2 Me′X 2, MeX 2 Me′X 3, MeX 2 Me′X 4, MeX 3 Me′X 3, MeNO 3 Me′(NO 3) 2, Me 2SO 4 Me′SO 4 (Me, Me′ denote metallic elements, X denotes halogen), Me AX B Me′ CX D (X is CrO 2- 4, WO 2- 4 or MoO 2- 4), and common cation systems MeX MeX′, MeX Me 2X′ (Me, Me′ denote metallic elements, X, X′ denote anion forming elements or radicals). It had been found that molten salt systems forming intermediate compounds and ones without intermediate compound distribute in different regions. Moreover, six general regularities for the formation of intermediate compounds in binary molten salt systems had been summarized on the basis of thirteen semi empirical models, which was obtained from the known phase diagrams.[

A novel and practical synthetic route is presented for the preparation of methyl-（E）-2-（3-（3-（2-（7-chloro-2-quinolinyl）ethenyl） phenyl）-3-oxopropyl）benzoate,the key intermediate of Montelukast,a leukotriene *** main diarylpropane framework was prepared via a polarity conversation reaction resulting in an acyl anion equivalent followed by a nucleophilic substitution *** overall yield of this approach was 61%.This method is simple for operation and suitable for industrial production.

The electrochemical reaction mechanism of Vitamin B2 on platinum electrode in acid aqueous solution has been studied by then layer cyclic voltammetry(TLCV) and thin layer spectroelectrochemistry (TLSEC).The results indicate that there is a redox process of VB2 via a semiquinone radical to dihydroflavin. The radical intermediate has been detected by in-situ UVSEC method for the first time.

After selective extraction and purification, plant keratin intermediate filaments were reassembled in vitro. Scanning tunneling microscope (STM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) micrographs showed that acidic keratins and basic keratins can assemble into dimers and further into 10 nm filaments in vitro. In higher magnification images , it can be seen that fully assembled plant keratin intermediate filaments consist of several thinner filaments of 3 nm in diameter, which indicates the formation of protofilaments in the assembly processes. One of the explicit features of plant keratin intermediate filaments is a 24-25 nm periodic structural repeat alone the axis of both the 10 nm filaments and protofilaments. The periodic repeat is one of the fundamental characteristic of all intermediate filaments, and demonstrates the half staggered arrangement of keratin molecules within the filaments.
