Luminescent properties of Tb3＋ doped high density borogermanate scintillating glasses

Tb3＋-doped high density borogermanate glasses were prepared by melt-quenching method. Their physical and luminescent properties including differential thermal analysis（DTA）, density, transmittance spectra, photoluminescence, and X-ray excited luminescence spectra were investigated. The densities of the glasses doped with Tb3＋ were in the range from 5.690 to 6.086 g/cm3. Under UV and X-ray excitations, the glasses showed intense green emissions. The lifetimes of Tb3＋ doped borogermanate glasses were in the range from 1.597 to 1.869 ms. The results indicated that Tb3＋ doped borogermanate glasses could be scintillator candidate used in X-ray detection application.

The flash memory technology meets physical and technical obstacles in further scaling. New structures and new materials are implemented as possible solutions. This paper focuses on two kinds of new flash cells for high density and low power memory applications based on the vertical channel double gate structure. The proposed VD-NROM with dual-nitride-trapping-layer and vertical structure can achieve four-bit-per-cell storage capability. And the proposed VSAS-FG cell benefits the high programming efficiency, low power and high density capability, which can be realized without any additional mask and can achieve the self-alignment of the split-gate channel and the floating-gate. The two novel flash cell structures can be considered as potential candidates for different flash memory applications.

A new cyanine thin film has been prepared for high density digital versatile disc recordable (DVD R) by means of a spin coating process. The effects of the optical and thermal properties of the cyanine dye on recording characteristics have been studied. Rapid decomposition of the cyanine dye in a narrow temperature range, which is critical to the clear mark edges, is shown in this paper. A steep absorption edge at the 635 nm is crucial to high reflectivity. The optical recording performance of the cyanine dye thin film shows that high reflectivity contrast (48%) can be obtained at low writing power and narrow writing pulse width using He Ne laser (632.8 nm) irradiation. The carrier to noise ratio (CNR) of the single layer disk is greater than 40 dB at travelling rate of 2.4 m/s.

In the past several decades, the density and performance of transistors in a single chip have been increasing based on Moore’s Law. However, the slowdown of feature size reduction and memory wall in the von Neumann architecture restrict the improvement of system performance and energy efficiency. Thus the requirements of the emerging big data and artificial intelligence applications cannot be met. To address this issue, novel devices and architectures are being explored. Among them, the InGaZnO(IGZO) fieldeffect transistor(FET) device and the computing-in-memory(CIM) architecture can be possible solutions for high-density, high-performance, and high-efficiency applications. Herein, we review the recent progress in IGZO-based FETs for dynamic random access memory(DRAM) applications. The mechanism of IGZO FETs, compact modeling of IGZO transistors, progress of IGZO manufacturing process, IGZO circuit design,and IGZO-based CIM and 3D integration architectures are presented. Furthermore, the challenges and future trends of IGZO research are discussed.

Role of high-density brines in reservoir development stages:A review

IEEE802.11 wireless local area network （WLAN） series protocol is customized design for short and middle distance in wireless communication, whose medium access control （MAC） layer mostly supports distributed coordination function （DCF）. However, DCF mode will lead to serious conflict when high density users are trying to access, thus the network performance degrades heavily. This paper proposes a distributed cooperation protocol called DCP for high density user adaption acting on MAC layer, which is similar to timedivision multiple access （TDMA） protocol of MAC layer. Under the circumstance of high density user, our proposed protocol can effectively enhance the network performance, and improve the network throughput and the transformation of data packets.

high-density brines have been recognized beneficial for oilfield applications,with various key areas such as drilling,completion and formation ***-density brines can play a critical role in the development and production of oil and gas reservoirs during the primary,secondary,and tertiary recovery ***-density brines can enhance the mobility and recovery of the oil in the reservoir by controlling the density and ***,a less attention has been given to the application of high-density brine in the area of reservoir *** review is shedding light on a concise overview of reservoir development stages in association with the recovery *** addition,most possible applications of high-density fluids have also been reviewed in the field of the reservoir *** summary,this review state that high-density brines can be used to stimulate reservoirs by hydraulic fracturing during the primary recovery ***,the risk of increased interfacial tension,which relies on the density difference of two fluids,can trap more residual oil relative to conventional water *** addition,high-density brines are effective in decreasing the mobility ratio and facilitating favorable displacement during polymer ***,they can be least effective in alkaline flooding due to the high IFT related to large density ***,it is suggested to consider the utilization of sustainable high-density brines by taking into account effective factors in petroleum engineering aspects such as stimulation,secondary recovery and polymer flooding.
