Influence of post-grown treatments on CuInS_2 thin films prepared by sulphurization of Cu-In films

Polycrystalline CuInS2 （CIS） films were prepared by sulphurization of Cu-In films. The surface morphology and phase composition of the as-grown film, the KCN-etched film, and the annealed KCN-etched film were investigated. During the sulphurization, the secondary CuxS phase segregated on the surface of the as-grown films. To improve the crystalline quality of CuInS2 films, a series of post-grown treatments, such as KCN-etching and vacuum annealing KCN-etched films, were performed on the as-grown films. Both as-grown and post-treated films were characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, and energy dispersive spectroscopy （EDS）. The results indicated that a CuxS secondary phase segregated on the surface of the as-grown film, which could be removed effectively by KCN etching. After the vacuum annealing treatment, the KCN-etched film had a sphalerite structure with （112） preferred orientation. Meanwhile, the crystalline quality of the CIS film was significantly improved, which provided a novel method to improve the performance of thin film solar cells.

sulphurization of the Electrochemically Deposited Indium Sulphide Oxide Thin Film and Its Photovoltaic Applications

The post-deposition heat treatment (annealing) for the electrochemically deposited thin film is often necessary in order to improve its crystallinity. In the present study, the electrochemically deposited indium sulfide oxide thin film was annealed in sulphure atmosphere for 60 min at 150℃ and 300℃. The impact of the annealing process on the composition, crystal structure, and surface morphology of the thin film was investigated. In addition, superstrate heterojunction solar cells based on the annealed film as a buffer layer and tin sulphide as an active layer were fabricated and characterized. They showed diode-like behavior under dark condition and a relatively small photovoltaic effect under AM1.5 illumination condition.

Limestones from 7 different geological places are calcined and sulphurized in a tubular reactor. The calcined powders are characterized before and after the sulphurization step. The results show that the carbonation reaction also occurs in the sulphurization reactor due to the presence of 10% v/v CO2 in the simulated gas. 7 lime powders can be classified into 3 groups according to their sulphurization and carbonation behavior. The formation of large amount of large mesopores (200- 2000) and small mesopores (20 - 100) after the calcination step causes Group 1 limestone having the greatest specific surface areas and prefers carbonation than sulphurization. Because only small mesopores are produced after the calcination step, Group 2 limestone moderately increase the specific surface area after calcination. These limes prefer sulphurization than carbonation. Group 3 limestone produces moderate large mesopores after calcinations and these lime carries out only the sulphurization reaction in the sulphurization step.

Recovery of Copper and Cobalt from Converter Slag with a New Flotation Method Using H_(2）S

In this study,two different samples were obtained from Küre Copper *** was determined that the samples contain:the sample of K.C.F.(Küre Copper Factory),0.70%Cu and 0.5%*** sample was firstly grounded at-100 mesh *** was done according to previously obtained optimum flotation *** flotation yield of Cu and Co in concentrate phase was found to be low by collective *** when the samples were grounded at-160 mesh,no change was observed in the flotation ***,Co could not float under the flotation conditions of the non-sulfurized ***,a new flotation method was applied which was not applied until *** this aim,the samples were firstly sulphurised under the steam of H2S+*** this method,the amount of Cu and Co in the samples get *** to the obtained results,the optimum reactions for flotation and sulphurization were *** the first sulphurization conditions for the sample of K.C.F.,the yield of flotation for the Co and Co were found to be 98.27%and 68.07%,*** results indicate that Cu can be floated at low yield in the original *** the other hand,Co cannot float under these conditions.
