Solubility of 2-amino-6-chloropurine in mitsunobu solvents could be significantly improved after its exocyclic amino group is protected via *** bis-Boc protected 2-amino-6-chloropurine also shows excellent activity and N9 selectivity in the coupling with various alcohols by a mitsunobu ***,a new practical and efficient method is established for the synthesis of penciclovir(PCV) from bis-Boc-2-amino-6-chloropurine 9 and the side chain of 5-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane 5—the latter being a more easily prepared cyclic precursor of the diacetate side chain used in the conventional *** coupling of 9 with 5 proceeded regioselectively at a N9 position of purine derivative for a good yield under mitsunobu conditions.

The study of a mitsunobu reaction is an important *** and co-workers first reported a novel(2-hydroxybenzyl)diphenylphosphine oxide for realizing the catalytic mitsunobu reaction via a five-membered phosphonium ***,it is still worth investigating how to improve catalysts with higher *** by computational and experimental studies,we designed a new type of biphenyl-based phosphine oxide that would form a six-membered phosphonium species as a key intermediate to trigger the catalytic mitsunobu reaction with a lower barrier of the rate-determining step(30.3 kcal/mol).DFT calculations revealed that only trans dehydration was participated in our catalytic progress and a strongπ-πinteraction and small spatial constraint of TS-V were crucial for high *** readily accessible,highly stable,easily recyclable and efficient catalyst would boost the catalytic mitsunobu reaction.

An efficient method for the synthesis of N-Cbz-β-aminoalkanesulfonamides was described.N-Cbz-β-aminoalkanesulfonamides were readily prepared in good yields from a variety of amino alcohols,including optically active ones,via N-Cbz protection with benzyl chloroformate,mitsunobu esterification reaction with thiolacetic acid,N-chlorosuccinimide oxidation,and ammonolysis process.

The stereocontrolled synthesis of the C（17）--C（28） fragment 3 of didemnaketal B was accomplished in 21 steps from the natural （R）-（＋）-pulegone and （S）-（--）-citronellal. The key steps involved diastereoselective construction of two chiral carbon centers through the intramolecular chiral induction and uncommon Julia olefination of ketone forming the E-trisubstituted C（22）--C（23） double bound.

Starting from the readily available 4-methylbenzoic acid, an efficient protocol for the preparation of ethyl 4- （aminomethyl） benzyl （methyl） phosphinate （1）, a novel aminomethylmonoalkylphosphinate was reported in this communication. The important step involves the selective monochlorination of phosphonic ester by POC13 and forming the phosphonochloridate, and followed by nucleophilic addition of CH3MgBr to the acid chloride interme- diate.

A novel and simple procedure for synthesis of azanucleoside by mitsunobu reaction between N-（p-nitrobenzyloxycarbonyl）- trans-4-hydroxy-D-proline methyl ester obtained from trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline after six-step reaction and 2-fluoro-6-azidopurine is described, and azanucleoside is fluorinated by new fluridizer 2,2-difluoro-1,3-dimethylimidazolidine （DFI）. All reactions could be carried out under mild condition.

A series of new fluoro-containing copolymers have been synthesized by a mitsunobu reaction with 4,4＇-（hexafluoroisopropylidene） bisphenol A（6FBPA） and the corresponding N,N-dihydroxyethylaminoaryl azo or ring-locked triene compounds, which have high thermal stability and good solubility in organic *** nonlinear optical（NLO） measurements made by Marker fringe method at 1064 nm indicate that the copolymers embedded with the ring-locked triene and azo chromophores exhibit higher macroscopic nonlinear optical coefficient（70.2 pm/V and 26.5-34.6 pm/V,respectively）.Thermal analysis and UV-visible absorption spectra show that the copolymers have good thermal stability（T_d= 264-319℃） and optical transparency （λ_（max）500 nm）.
