Proteins are excellent templates and stabilizers for Au nanoclusters （NCs） because of their abundant thiol groups and unique internal environments. However, high-molecular weight （MW） proteins with special quaternary structures are rarely reported as such templates. Considering that proteins may afford different spatial configurations as templates for Au NCs, we focused on alkaline phosphatase, catalase, and fibrinogen （MW range from 150 to 340 kDa） as direct templates for synthesizing Au NCs. We demonstrated that both Cu2~ and Hg2~ could induce photoluminescence （PL） quenching of these Au NCs, while their binding mech- anisms were different. Therefore, significant PL recovery by amino acids, e.g., histidine and cysteine, was observed for Cu2＋-treated Au NCs, but not Hg2＋-treated Au NCs, allowing for selective detection of Hg2＋ by using histidine as a masking agent. The detection ranges were 0.06-2.0 DM for Hg2＋ and 0.04-5.0 DM for Cu2＋, with low limits of detection of 0.02 and 0.01μM, respectively. The PL change showed opposite tendency for histidine and cysteine at higher concentrations, resulting in different PL outputs. Using dual metal ion and dual amino acid combinations, an integrated PL logic gate was fabricated. This work improves the understanding of the PL mechanisms of complicated protein-localized Au NCs.

The growing need to process a diverse range of data has ignited effort in developing new multifunctional logic gate *** this article,we report a new form of all-in-one logic gate system that exploits the photoresponsivity of a self-powered multifunctional BiFeO_(3)(BFO)sensor *** BFO sensor can not only detect both light intensity and temperature,but it can also execute three common logic gates of“AND”,“OR”,and“NOT”by converting optical and thermal inputs into electrical *** diverse functionality of the BFO logic gate sensor array utilizes the unique light-and temperaturecontrolled energy band structure and carrier behavior of the BFO *** demonstrate the potential,a 3×3 logic gate sensor matrix is developed,which successfully detected light and temperature distributions,and accurately produced the three basic logic gate *** work provides a new route to construct highly integrated multifunctional electronic devices for the advancement of large sensing,communication,and computing operations.

Proton conduction controlled by light is important for advanced applications in sensors and information processing *** herein report a metal-organic framework(MOF)thin film by introducing indocyanine green dye into HSB-W5(HSB=hydrogenated Schiff base)matrix(ICG@HSB-W5)to construct a series of basic logic gates(NOT,NAND,and NOR)on account of its good photothermal conversion ability and photo-controlled proton *** proton conductivity of ICG@HSB-W5 thin film is 25 times higher than that of the pristine HSB-W5 thin film and responses efficiently to *** addition,the change of proton conductivity is very large with an ON/OFF ratio above1000 and enough to be distinguished to build logic *** this logic gate system,808-and 405-nm lasers are used as inputs and the proton conductivity is used as output signal with different *** electrical output signal is convenient and available to be received and *** offers a new route for the design of molecular logic gates based on MOF and facilitates the construction of proton-based logic gate or more complicated logic devices.

DNA logic gate has been developed to be a prospective focus since the molecular material circuits overcome the miniaturization limitations of traditional silicon-based electronics,integrated ***,the number of logic gates accomplished by most existing DNA logic gate systems is quite limited,consequently hampering the construction of more complex iogic ***,application of intciligent detection schemes and logic circuit constructions acted as two directions in logic gate.A new platform technology is herein described with which to construct molecular logic gates by employing the split G-quadruplex-combined molecular beacon probe as a basic work *** basic logic gates（OR,AND,and XOR）,combinatorial gates（INHIB1 T-OR）.were readily achieved by taking this DNA spilt G-qwadruplex molecular beacon as a universal ***,a logic gate system for identification of multiple of three from natural numbers was established successfully by employing only this novel platform and four short single-stranded DNA.

We report supramolecular AND logic gates based on host-guest complexation between acid-labile acyclic cucurbit[n]uril(CB[n]) molecular container and Na Cl O-responsive dye. Supramolecular AND logic gate is turned on due to acid-triggered degradation of molecular container and the release of the dye, followed by Na Cl O-induced fluorescence “switch on” effect of the dye. The reason for AND molecular logic gate is discovered to be the combination of oxidation inhibition and fluorescence “switch off” effect. Supramolecular AND logic gate is confirmed to be operational in live MCF-7 and He La cancer cells.

A simple-structured 4-（2-pyridylazo）resorcinol （PAR） system presents interesting properties with dual fluorescent outputs. Modulated by solution pH two kinds of reversible switch behaviors, ＂ON-OFF＂ and ＂OFF-ON＂, were realized with the PAR system. Stimulated by different combination of external stimulus, such as metal ions, UV ir- radiation and solution pH, the PAR system could perform multiple logic functions including three inputs AND, two inputs INHIBIT and combinatorial ＂NOR/AND＂ in parallel. The operation of the designed system is very simple and detected with a high sensitive fluorescent signal.

Nanozymes, nanomaterials with enzyme-like activity, have been considered as promising alternatives of natural enzymes. Molecular logic gates, which can simulate the function of the basic unit of an electronic computer, perform Boolean logic operation in response to chemical, biological, or optical ***, the combination of nanozymes and logic gates enabled bioinformation processing in a logically controllable way. In the review, recent progress in the construction of nanozyme-based logic gates integrated with their utility in sensing is introduced. Furthermore, the issues and challenges in the construction processes are discussed. It is expected the review will facilitate a comprehensive understanding of nanozyme-based logic systems.
