Dear Editor Coronavirus disease 19(COVID-19),caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),remains a *** patients have a higher risk of poor outcomes for SARS-CoV-2 infection than the general population[1].Vaccines were shown to effectively prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection,severe disease progression,and *** SARS-CoV-2 vaccines(BBIBPCorV and CoronaVac)have been approved and widely used in China,with the former shown to be more effective than the latter[2].Hence,there is an urgent need to investigate the safety and humoral immune responses of inactivated vaccines in cancer patients.

Leptospirosis has been recognized as the disease of the dogs. The prevention of canine leptospirosis can block the transmission of the etiological agent to humans. Commercial vaccines prevent not only clinical leptospirosis but also the renal carrier state in dogs. Thus in this present investigation, the humoral immune response of the vaccinated dogs with the multivalent vaccine (Megavac-6) was analyzed. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with preparations of 2 whole cell lysate, 2 leptospiral LPS, 4 purified recombinant proteins were used to test sera from 30 dogs vaccinated with MEGAVAC-6, a commercial vaccine practiced by the animal husbandary Departments in Tamilnadu. All 30 sera were positive by ELISA with whole cell lysate of Canicola and Icterohaemorrhagiae, and ELISA with Canicola LPS, Icterohaemorrhagiae LPS;antibody titres ranged from 20 to ≥10,240. Although there was less frequent reactivity of sera with recombinant antigens, antibodies to LipL32 and LigA were detected in 25 (83.3%) serum samples. Less frequent reactivity was noted when recombinant GroEl, LK73.5 antigens were included separately in ELISAs. The highest MAT titre was observed against the serovar Canicola and Icterohaemorrhagiae. The more reactivity against LPS may be due to the dominance of serovar specific leptospiral LPS, which may be the dominant immunogenic antigen in inactivated bivalent leptospiral vaccines. Eventhough LPS is the dominant antigen. It is serovars specific and hence recommends the incorporation of the locally circulating serovars in vaccine for its efficient use. The efficiency at this point can be increased by the use of subunit vaccines rather than recombinant proteins as such. The present study has proposed certain epitopes with increased antigenic potency.

Enteric disorders in pigs are related to the fimbriae F4 (K88), F5 (K99), F6 (987P), F41 and F18 of enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC). Immunization of sows with adhesins is important to stimulate the production of antibodies and the consequent transfer of these to the piglets via colostrum to prevent diarrhea during the neonate period and after weaning. The objective of this study was to evaluate the immune response of the sows immunized with recombinant ETEC proteins (F4, F5, F6, F18 and F41). The immune response of the sows immunized with the recombinant proteins was compared with a commercial vaccine containing ETEC bacterins. The study was performed on a commercial farm and included nine pregnant sows divided into three groups: G1 was vaccinated with recombinant proteins (n = 3);G2 was vaccinated with the commercial vaccine (n = 3);and G3 was vaccinated with sterile buffered saline (PBS) (n = 3). All the sows were fed a balanced diet without antibiotics and water ad libitum. The recombinant fimbriae stimulated the specific humoral immune response of the immunized sows. There was a statistically significant increase in the levels of antibodies to the fimbriae F4 (K88), F5 (K99), F6 (987P) and F18 in the sows vaccinated with the recombinant proteins compared with the control group. The colostrum IgG titers for all fimbriae in all the immunized sows were significantly increased compared to the control group. Additionally, all the piglets exhibited significantly increased antibody levels relative to all fimbriae when compared with those in the unimmunized control group, demonstrating successful antibody transfer via colostrum of the sows to the piglets.

To investigate the humoral immune response induced by HCV core DNA vaccine in mice and to furnish evidence for HCV DNA vaccine for humans. Methods: HCV core DNA vaccine (pcDNA3. 1HCVcore) was constructed by inserting the full-length cDNA of HCV core gene into an eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3. 1. Balb/c mice were injected intramuscularly with the recombinant construct and serum anti-HCV core antibody was screened by ELISA. Lysate of NIH3T3 cells trans feeted with pcDNA3. 1 core was analyzed by Western-blot and the anti--HCV core antibody positive murine sera were used as specific antibodies to detect the expression of the vaccine. Results: ELISA detection revealed that 3 out of the 10 vaccinated mice produced HCV antibodies. Western-blot analysis showed that the anti--HCV core antibodies could detect HCV core protein expressed by NIH3T3 cells. Conclusion:HCV core DNA vaccine is able to induce specific antibodies in mice.

Objective: To study the clinical significance of anti-ENA autoantibody profiles and its relationship withother immune markers. Methods: AntiuENA autoantibodies were tested with Western--blot while immunoglobulinsand complements were detected quantitatively by turbidimetry. Results: 1. High positive rate of anti--ENAautoantibody was detected but not specific in several autoimmune diseases; 2. lgG and IgA was increased in antiENA antibody positive sera while IgM, C3 and C4 was decreased; 3. Elevation of IgG and decrease of IgM, C3and CHS, were correlated with the number of bands of anti-- ENA autoantibodies by immunoblot; 4. Associationbetween clinical activity of diseases and C3, C4 and CH50 were tested. Conclusion: humoral immune activation wasdemonstrated in patients with positive ENA autoantibody and positively correlated with the number of bands ofanti-- ENA autoantibodies.

Objective:To evaluate humoral immunity and peripheral blood T lymphocyte subset levels after Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. Methods:118 cases of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection were selected as observation group, and 98 cases of healthy children receiving medical examination in our hospital during the same period were selected as control group. The differences in humoral immunity, T lymphocyte subsets, anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory factors, Th1/Th2 balance state, etc were compared between two groups of children. Results:Serum IgA level of observation group was lower than that of control group (Phumoral immune and cellular immune suppression, high inflammatory state and so on after Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection are the important mechanisms leading to disease progression.

The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),is a major ongoing challenge to global *** being infected by SARS-CoV-2,a specific humoral immune response may be rapidly induced in the host to restrain the viral infection via the production of neutralizing antibodies(NAbs),which are also useful for preventing reinfection[1,2].However,there is a lack of comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms underlying SARS CoV-2 specifc humoral immunity and alterations in immunoglobulin M(1gM)and G(1gG)levels in humans during viral infection.

Objective:To delineate the comparative immunomodulatory roles of H1R-H4R in antibody generation profile in rabbit ***:The cohort comprised of eight groups containing 18(9 male and 9 female) rabbits in each ***Ⅰremained non-immunized and received only vehicle(sterile distilled water,1 mL/kg×b.i.d.) ***Ⅱreceived vehicle (1 mL/kg×b.i.d.) while GroupsⅢ-Ⅶ(drugs-treated) received subcutaneous histamine (100μg/kg×b.i.d.),and intramuscular H1R-antagonist(pheniramine,10 mg/kg×b.i.d.), H2R-antagonist(ranitidine,10 mg/kg×b.i.d.),H3R-antagonist(iodophenpropit,1μg/kg×b.i.d.) and H4R-antagonist(JNJ 7777120,10μg/kg×b.i.d.),and GroupⅧDMSO(1 mL/kg×b.i.d.),respectively for 10 days(starting from day 1).They were subsequendy immunized with intravenous injection of sheep red blood cells(SRBC) at day *** estimation of serum Igs,IgM and IgG were done by ELISA,and observed at day 0(pre-immunization),and 7,14,21,28 and 58(post-immunization).Results:It was shown that histamine and HRs-antagonists could influence a detectable antibody response to SRBC as early as day 7-post-immunization(post-Ⅰ), which lasted until day 58 post-Ⅰ.The results were found statistically significant(P<0.05,). Conclusions:This study suggests that histamine receptors play important roles in modulation of antibody generation in which H1R,H2R and H4R have immunosuppressive roles and conversely, H3R playes an immune enhancing *** findings of this study may have clinical significance and provide the baseline information for future study.
