Mental cultural vocabulary is a type of cultural *** kind of vocabulary is a valuable carrier of the spiritual material culture of a nation or a *** translation of these words can directly reflect the differences between different cultures,which plays an important role in cross-cultural *** translation strategies in dealing with mental cultural vocabulary translation is emphasized as it is a difficulty faced in translation *** on the adaptation theory,this study analyzes the examples and translation from the perspective of dynamic adaptation as well as explains the adaptation at all levels in translation practice.

Vagueness is a ubiquitous phenomenon in language *** of its flexibility and generality,vague language is used in CN N economic news *** the perspective of Verschueren's adaptation theory,this paper collects ten economic news to conduct research and analyzes vague language from three aspects of adaptation *** result shows that adaptation to the mental world includes the readers'mental world and editors'mental world;adaptation to the physical world includes the time,space and other features of the physical world;adaptation to the social world includes the politeness and avoiding negative effect on society.

This paper deals with the translation strategies of Chinese Culture-Loaded Words from the perspective of adaptation *** is based on the translation text of the sixth episode“Silk Road”and the seventh episode“Dunhuang”of the documentary Hexi *** words with Chinese cultural connotations appear in the subtitles of this *** paper will be divided into four *** first part and the second part deal with the basic theories,i.e.,definition of Chinese Culture-Loaded Words and of adaptation *** original text is analysed in the third *** part deals with the background and specifics of the language of the documentary film Hexi *** fourth part deals with the difficulties encountered by the author in translation practice and the corresponding solutions adopted by the *** translation difficulties are solved by five translation methods,namely transliteration,loan translation,substitution,interpretation,and adaptation.

Conflict talk is a common and complex linguistic phenomenon existing in life,mainly referring to verbal interaction events such as disputes,dissent,and refutation between the two parties in the *** paper is based on Verschueren’s adaptation theory,combined with the representative conflict cases in the movie Zootopia,and the multiangle analysis of the expression of dialogue *** it tries to find the specific causes of conflict talks,in order to provide methods to solve or alleviate the discourse conflicts in life.

The theory of linguistic adaptation mainly focuses on the problems of linguistic output,which advocates that the lan⁃guage usage is the linguistic process of constantly choosing certain words and puts the emphasis on the consistency of communica⁃tive objectives,communicative situations and communicative *** from the perspective of the theory of linguistic adap⁃tation,some possible problems which would appear in English language teaching process would be fully discussed together with the guiding significance and practical *** essence,communicators should adjust linguistic reality,social conventions and mental *** results find that the adaptation theory could firstly enrich language skills between teachers and students and set a model for English ***,it could emphasize the situational teaching and create the English adaptation environ⁃***,it could endow teachers with effective tactics and conduct the English situational ***,it could let teachers pay attention to the words in class resulting in creating the positive influence of situational adaptation.

Because of its adapatability and fiexibility, adaptation theory has been used in many different fields, such as translation, second language acquisition, code swithching and so on. This paper took the extralinguistic cultural references in an American film Forrest Gump as research object and analyzed its subtitling translation from communicative and linguistic context in adaptation theory. In the hope that achieve a more general and objective understanding for the subtitling translation of Forrest Gump.

This present paper, in perspective of cognitive prominence, the cognitive motive on the differences between English and Chinese subjects, and then explores the interpretability of the adaptation theory in translating the subjects. It is discovered that the blending of the cognitive prominence and the theory of adaptation is very effective in elaborating the subtle differences of English and Chinese subjects in translation, and reasonable in expounding the infeasibility of some plausible versions.
