An air-stable single-crystal layered oxide cathode based on multifunctional structural modulation for high-energy-density sodium-ion batteries

P2-type layered oxide, Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2, has drawn particular interest as a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs) due to its fast sodium-ion transport channels with low migration potential. However, some catastrophic flaws, such as air instability, complicated multiphase evolution, and irreversible anionic redox, limit its electrochemical performance and hinder its application. Here, an air-stable single-crystal P2-type Na2/3Ni1/3Mn1/3Ti1/3O2is proposed based on the multifunctional structural modulation of Ti substitution that could alleviate the issues for practical SIBs. As a result, the cathode with high energy density shows excellent air stability and highly reversible phase transitions(P2–OP4), and delivers faster kinetics and stable anion redox chemistry. Meanwhile, a thorough investigation of the relationship between structure, function, and properties is demonstrated,emphasizing formation processes, electrochemical behavior, structural evolution, and air stability. Overall, this study provides the direction of multifunctional structural modulation for the development of high-performance sodium-based layered cathode materials for practical applications.

Tribological and Electrochemical Corrosion Properties of CNT-Incorporated Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation(PEO)Coatings on AZ80 Magnesium Alloy

Plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)coatings were carried out in silicate-based electrolyte embedded with various amounts of carbon nanotube(CNT)additives(0,0.5,1,2 and 4 g/L)on AZ80 magnesium alloy ***,tribological and electrochemical corrosion properties of the coated specimens were *** results demonstrated that the increasing CNT additions into the electrolyte resulted in a gradual increase in the thickness of PEO-coating *** CNT addition to the electrolyte by 0.5 g/L resulted in a slight decrease in the roughness of PEO-coating above which it continually *** resistance of the PEO-coated specimens showed a gradual improvement with increasing CNT-incorporation within the *** electrochemical corrosion tests revealed that the best corrosion resistance was found after the CNT addition into the electrolyte by 0.5 g/L due to the better roughness values,more homogenous coating layers and less pore formation.

A New Hybrid Approach Using GWO and MFO Algorithms to Detect Network Attack

This paper addresses the urgent need to detect network security attacks,which have increased significantly in recent years,with high accuracy and avoid the adverse effects of these *** intrusion detection system should respond seamlessly to attack patterns and *** use of metaheuristic algorithms in attack detection can produce near-optimal solutions with low computational *** achieve better performance of these algorithms and further improve the results,hybridization of algorithms can be used,which leads to more successful ***,many studies are conducted on this *** this study,a new hybrid approach using Gray Wolf Optimizer(GWO)and Moth-Flame Optimization(MFO)algorithms was developed and applied to widely used data sets such as NSL-KDD,UNSW-NB15,and CIC IDS 2017,as well as various benchmark *** ease of hybridization of the GWO algorithm,its simplicity,its ability to perform global optimal search,and the success of the MFO algorithm in obtaining the best solution suggested that an effective solution would be obtained by combining these two *** these reasons,the developed hybrid algorithm aims to achieve better results by using the good aspects of both the GWO algorithm and the MFO *** reviewing the results,it was found that a high level of success was achieved in the benchmark *** achieved better results in 12 of the 13 benchmark functions *** addition,the success rates obtained according to the evaluation criteria in the different data sets are also *** the 97.4%,98.3%,and 99.2% classification accuracy results obtained in the NSL-KDD,UNSW-NB15,and CIC IDS 2017 data sets with the studies in the literature,they seem to be quite successful.

Petrology and Geochemistry of Post-Collisional Early Miocene Volcanism in the Karacadag Area(Central Anatolia,Turkey)

Early Miocene（ca.21-18 Ma） volcanism in the Karacadag area comprises three groups of volcanic rocks:（1） calcalkaline suite（andesitic to rhyolitic lavas and their pyroclastics）,（2） mildly-alkaline suite（alkali basalt,hawaiite,mugearite,benmoreite and trachydacite）,and（3） a single trachyandesitic flow *** observations,40Ar/39Ar ages and geochemical data show that there was a progressive temporal transition from group 1 to 3 in a post-collisional tectonic *** calcalkaline suite rocks with medium-K in composition resemble those of subduction-related lavas, whereas the mildly-alkaline suite rocks having a sodic tendency（Na2O/K2O=l.5-3.2） resemble those of within-plate *** element and Sr-Nd isotopic characteristics of the suites suggest that the lithospheric mantle beneath the Karacadag area was heterogeneously enriched by two processes before collision:（1） enrichment by subduction-related processes,which is important in the genesis of the calcalkaline volcanism,（2） enrichment by small degree melts from the astenosphere,which dominates the mildly alkaline *** of the enriched lithosphere by either delamination following collision and uplift or removal of the subducted slab following subduction and collision（i.e.,slab breakoff） is the likely mechanism for the initiation of the post-collision volcanism.

Hydrogeochemical and Isotopic Study of Groundwater in a Semi-arid Region： Yeniceoba Plain (Cihanbeyli-KONYA), Central Anatolia,Turkey

Groundwater is the most important source of water supply in the Yeniceoba Plain in Central Anatolia, Turkey. An understanding of the geochemical evolution of groundwater is important for the sustainable development of water resources in this region. A hydrogeochemical investigation was conducted in the Plio-Quaternary aquifer system using stable isotopes （δ^18O and JD）, tritium （3H）, major and minor elements （Ca, Na, K, Mg, C1, SO4, NO3, HCO3 and Br） in order to identify groundwater chemistry patterns and the processes affecting groundwater mineralization in this system. The chemical data reveal that the chemical composition of groundwater in this aquifer system is mainly controlled by rock/water interactions including dissolution of evaporitic minerals, weathering of silicates, precipitation/dissolution of carbonates, ion exchange, and evaporation. Based on the values of C1/Br ratio （〉 300 mg/l） in the Plio-Quaternary groundwater, dissolution of evaporitic minerals in aquifer contributes significantly to the high mineralization. The stable isotope analyses indicate that the groundwater in the system was influenced by evaporation of rainfall during infiltration. Low tritium values （generally 〈1 tritium units） of groundwater reflect a minor contribution of recent recharge and groundwater residence times of more than three or four decades.

Evaluation of nintedanib as a new postoperative antiscarring agent in experimental extraocular muscle surgery

AIM:To investigate the efficacy of nintedanib on reducing postoperative inflammation,fibrosis and adhesion formation following extraocular muscle surgery in rabbits in comparison with triamcinolone acetonide(TA).METHODS:Reinsertion of superior rectus muscle in right eyes of 30 New Zealand white rabbits were *** were randomized to receive one of the following treatments:0.9%normal saline,one of 1-,5-,and 10μmol doses of nintedanib subconjunctivally immediately after surgery and on postoperative day 1,2,3,5,and 7,and TA immediately after *** a control group,unoperated left eyes(n=6)were *** the 28 th day,six eyes from each group were enucleated and histopathologically and immunohistochemically analyzed to assess the postoperative inflammatory changes,fibrosis and *** growth factor beta,matrix metalloproteinase-2 and alpha smooth muscle actin expressions were ***:Conjunctival and scleral inflammation in TA and nintedanib groups were significantly reduced compared to saline(sham)*** vascularity and rectus muscle fibrosis were significantly reduced in 10μmol nintedanib *** groups were the most effective groups in reduction of perimuscular *** three nintedanib groups nor TA group differed statistically from sham group with regard to *** expressions of transforming growth factor beta,alpha smooth muscle actin and matrix metalloproteinase-2 were reduced in nintedanib groups compared to saline ***:Nintedanib appears to attenuate postoperative inflammation and fibrosis after extraocular muscle *** may be a safer and stronger alternative agent in extraocular muscle surgery when compared to *** investigation is needed to prove antiadhesive effect of nintedanib.

Investigation of the level spectra of nuclei in the northeast region of doubly magic^(40)Ca with intruder orbit g_(9/2)

This study utilizes large-scale shell model calculations with the extended pairing and multipole–multipole force model(EPQQM)to investigate low-lying states in the nuclei of^(42)Ca,^(42)Sc,and^(42−44)*** model space in this study includes the fp shell as well as the intruder g_(9/2)orbit,which accurately reproduces the positive parity levels observed in the aforementioned nuclei and predicts high energy states with negative parity coupled with the intruder g_(9/2).The study further predicts two different configurations in^(43)Ti at around 6 MeV,specificallyπf_(7/2)^(2)νg_(9/2)andπf_(7/2)g_(9/2)νf_(7/2),both of which involve the intruder orbit g_(9/2).The levels coupled with the intruder g_(9/2)in^(44)Ti are predicted to lie between 7 and 11 *** inclusion of the intruder orbit g_(9/2)is crucial for the exploration of high energy states in the northeast region of the doubly magic nucleus^(40)Ca.

Investigation of the Lipophilicity of 2-Benzoylpyridine-Thiosemicarbazone Based on the Ion Transfer across the Liquid/Liquid Interface

The ion transfer reaction of 2-benzoylpyridine-thiosemicarbazone (HL), which has antimicrobial and antifungal properties and anticancer activity, has been studied to determine its lipophilicity by cyclic voltammetry at the water/1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCE) interface. The physicochemical parameters such as standard partition coefficient (lgPI)andthestandardGibbsenergyoftransfer("G0tr,,wI "o)oftheprotonatedformoftheligandwere measured asa function of pH in aqueous phase. The protonated form of the ligand exhibited reversible or quasi-reversible voltammograms at the1,***,pKa1andpKa2,weredeterminedspectrophotometrically and were found to be 12.14 and 3.24, respectively. The standard Gibbs energy of transfer ("G0tr,,wN" o) and the partition coefficient of neutral species (lgPN) were also determined by the shake-flask method. The standard Gibbs energy of transfer of this compound across the water/1,2-DCE interface was evaluated as the quantitative measure of its lipophilicity. The difference between lgPI and lgPN was related to the degree of charge delocalization and was used to evaluate qualitatively the lipophilicity of the ligand.
