Using the first successful cloud echoes observed by China’s indigenous 94-GHz SKY cloud radar,the macrostructure and microphysical parameters of stratocumulus clouds with drizzle in the Anhui province on 8 June 2013 are ***,the detection ability of the SKY cloud radar is *** results are as follows:（1）the SKY radar can observe the time-varying macroscopic and microphysical parameters of clouds,and it can reveal the microscopic structure and small-scale changes of clouds.（2）The velocity spectrum width of cloud droplets is small,but the spectrum width of the cloud containing the cloud droplets and drizzle is *** the spectral width is more than 0.4 ms-1,the radar reflectivity factor is usually larger（over-10 dBZ）.（3）The radar’s sensitivity is comparatively higher because the minimum radar reflectivity factor is about-35 dBZ in this experiment;the threshold for the radar reflectivity factor to detect the LDR of stratus is commonly-11 to-14 dBZ and should decrease with increasing turbulence.（4）In the case of distinguishing the cloud droplets from the drizzle,the cloud liquid water content and particle effective radius are *** liquid water content of drizzle is lower than that of cloud droplets at the same radar reflectivity factor.

Increasingly arisen environmental constraints may contribute to heritable phenotypic variation including methylation changes,which can help the animals with development,growth and *** this study,we assessed the DNA methylation levels in three tissues(gonad,kidney and gill) of half smooth tongue sole under the salinity *** methylation-sensitive amplification polymorphism(MSAP) technique was applied to illustrate the regulation of epigenetic mechanism in environmental *** were subjected to 15 salinity treatment for 7 and 60 days,respectively.A total of 11259 fragments were amplified with 8 pairs of selective *** levels of methylated DNA in different tissues of females and males without salinity stress were analyzed,which were 32.76% and 47.32% in gonad;38.13% and 37.69% in kidney;37.58% and 34.96% in gill,*** addition,the significant difference was observed in gonad between females and males,indicating that discrepant regulation in gonadal development and differentiation may involve sex-related *** analysis showed that total and hemi-methylation were significantly decreased under 15 salinity for 7 days,probably resulting in up-regulating salt-tolerance genes expression to adjust salt *** the adjustment for 60 days,total and hemi-methylation prominently went back to its normal levels to obtain ***,full methylation levels were steady along with salinity stress to maintain the stability of gene ***,the data showed that gonads in females and gills in males were superior in *** a result,DNA methylation regulates tissue-specific epiloci,and may respond to salinity stress by regulating gene expression to maintain animal survival and activity.

Estimation of S-wave velocity using logging data has mainly been performed for sandstone,mudstone and oil and gas strata,while its application to hydrate reservoirs has been largely *** this paper we present petrophysical methods to estimate the S-wave velocity of hydrate reservoirs with the P-wave velocity and the density as *** three models used in this paper are an equivalent model（MBGL）,a three-phase model（TPBE）,and a thermo-elasticity model（TEM）.The MBGL model can effectively describe the internal relationship among the components of the rock,and the estimated P-wave velocities are in good agreement with the measured data（2.8% error）.However,in the TPBE model,the solid,liquid and gas phases are considered to be independent of each other,and the estimation results are relatively low（46.6% error）.The TEM model is based on the sensitivity of the gas hydrate to temperature and pressure,and the accuracy of the estimation results is also high（3.6% error）.Before the estimation,the occurrence patterns of hydrates in the Shenhu area were examined,and occurrence state one（the hydrate is in solid form in the reservoir） was selected for *** using the known P-wave velocity and density as constraints,a reasonable S-wave velocity value(ranging from 400 to 1100 m s-1 and for a hydrate layer of 1100 m s-1) can be obtained through multiple *** methods and results provide new data and technical support for further research on hydrates and other geological features in the Shenhu area.

Based on nearly 3 months of moored acoustic Doppler current profiler records on the continental slope in the northwestern South China Sea（SCS） in 2006,this study examines temporal and vertical characteristics of near-inertial internal waves（NIW）.Rotary frequency spectrum indicates that motions in the near-inertial frequency are strongly polarized,with clockwise（CW） energy exceeding counterclockwise（CCW） by about a factor of *** analysis exhibits an energy peak exceeding the 95% confidence level at the frequency of local inertial during the passage of typhoon Xangsane（24 September to 4 October）.This elevated near-inertial kinetic energy（NIKE） event possesses about a 4 days delay correlation with the time integral of energy flux induced by typhoon,indicating an energy source of *** analysis shows that the upward phase velocity of this event is 3.8 m h-1approximately,corresponding to a vertical wavelength of about 125 m if not taking the redshift of local inertial frequency into *** vertical wavenumber spectrum exhibits the dominance of clockwise-with-depth energy,indicating downward energy propagation and implying a surface energy *** modes suggest that mode 1 plays a dominant role at the growth stage of NIW,whereas major contribution is from higher modes during the penetration of NIKE into the ocean interior.
