New phosphors Sr2ZnSi2O7： M （M=Mn2＋, Tb3＋） were synthesized through solid-state reaction, and their photoluminescent properties under UV and VUV region were investigated. The results showed that Sr2ZnSi2O7：Mn2＋ emitted green light with the strongest emission peak centered at 525 nm, and its quenching concentration under 254 and 147 nm excitation occurred at x = 0.08 and 0.06, respectively. Sr2ZnSi2O7： Th3＋ emitted green light with the strongest emission peak centered at 541 nm, and its quenching concentration under 254 and 147 nm excitation also appeared at y = 0.25. At 147 nm excitation, the emission intensities of Sr2Zn0.54Si2O7： 0.06Mn2＋ and Sr1.75ZnSi2O7： 0.25Tb3＋ phosphors were 54% and 36% of that of Zn1.96SiO4：0.04Mn2＋, respectively. And their decay times （τ1/e） were about 3.18 ms and 3.9 ms, respectively.

A new methodology was proposed for testing the fracture toughness of YAG transparent ceramics depended on temperature. In our model, the fracture toughness, as a material-specific property, can be expressed as tensile strength treated as the physical property or a material constant. Using this method, a suitable size larger than the inherent defects of ceramic samples and the creation of atomically sharp pre-cracks on the surface of ceramic specimens were able to be ignored. Besides, the fracture of ceramic can be described as the equivalence between the release of elastic storage energy and surface energy associated with the new fracture surface. From thermodynamics theory, the system’s internal energy includes the kinetic energy of atomic motion and the potential energy between atoms in the system. Finally, the fracture toughness at different temperatures can also be calculated by this simple quantitative relationship. In order to confirm the validity of this model, the decreasing fracture toughness of YAG transparent ceramic with increasing temperature was predicted, and the result coincided with the experimental results.

A new 2,2＂-bipyridine adduct of bis（O,O＇-di（2-phenylethyl）dithiophosphato） cadmium（II）, [Cd{S2P（OCH2CH2Ph）2}2＂bipy] （1, bipy -- 2,2＂-bipyridine）, was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV-vis, 1H NMR, fluorescence spectroscopy, thermo-gravimetric analysis, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The crystal of 1 crystallizes in triclinic, space group P1 with a = 10.4607（19）, b = 11.679（2）, c = 18.480（3） A, a = 98.900（2）, β = 103.321（2）, ）, = 91.779（2）, V= 2165.2（7） A3, Dc = 1.447 g/cm3, Z = 2, C42H4404N2P2S4Cd, Mr = 943.37, F（000） = 968,μ = 0.814 mm-1, the final R = 0.0536 and wR = 0.1206 for 6275 observed reflections with 1 〉 2a（/） and R = 0.0690 and wR = 0.1339 for all data. The result shows that the Cd（1） centre is five-coordinated by two N and three S atoms in a highly distorted square pyramidal configuration. The C-H＇＂S hydrogen bonding interactions and a set of weak intermolecular r-r stacking between adjacent aromatic rings stabilize the structure and make 1 assemble into a 1D zig-zag chain. In addition, the antibacterial activities of 1 against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus bacteria were also screened by disc diffusion method.

In this paper,low temperature plasma is used to modify the surface of barium titanate（BaTiO3）nanoparticles in order to enhance the interfacial compatibility between ferroelectric poly（vinylidene fluoride）（PVDF） and BaTiO3 *** results demonstrate that oxygenic groups are successfully attached to the BaTiO3 surface,and the quantity of the functional groups increases with the treatment ***,the effect of modified BaTiO3 nanoparticles on the morphology and crystal structure of the PVDF/BaTiO3 membrane is *** results reveal that the dispersion of BaTiO3 nanoparticles in the PVDF matrix was greatly improved due to the modification of the BaTiO3 nanoparticles by air *** is worth noting that the formation of a β-phase in a PVDF/modified BaTiO3 membrane is observably promoted,which results from the strong interaction between PVDF chains and oxygenic groups fixed on the BaTiO3 surface and the better dispersion of BaTiO3 nanoparticles in the PVDF ***,the PVDF/modified BaTiO3 membrane at the treatment voltage of 24 k V exhibits a lower water contact angle（≈68.4°） compared with the unmodified one（≈86.7°）.Meanwhile,the dielectric constant of PVDF/BaTiO3 nanocomposites increases with the increase of working voltage.

Radio frequency identification(RFID) enabled retail store management needs workflow optimization to facilitate real-time decision making. In this paper, complex event processing(CEP) based RFID-enabled retail store management is studied, particularly focusing on automated shelf replenishment decisions. We define different types of event queries to describe retailer store workflow action over the RFID data streams on multiple tagging levels(e.g., item level and container level). Non-deterministic finite automata(NFA)based evaluation models are used to detect event patterns. To manage pattern match results in the process of event detection, optimization algorithm is applied in the event model to share event detection results. A simulated RFID-enabled retail store is used to verify the effectiveness of the method, experiment results show that the algorithm is effective and could optimize retail store management workflow.

The present study was designed to determine the chemical constituents of the stem tuber of Pinellia pedatisecta. The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by various chromatographic techniques, and their structures were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral data. Three new alkaloids(compounds 1, 2, and 3) were obtained and identified as 9-((5-methoxypyridin-2-yl)methyl)-9 H-purin-6-amine(1), 4-(2-(2, 5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl)ethyl)phenyl acetate(2), and N-(9-((5-methoxypyridin-2-yl)methyl)-9 H-purin-6-yl)acetamide(3). These compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against human cervical cancer He La cells. Compounds 1 and 3 significantly inhibited the proliferation of He La cells with IC_(50) values being 3.02 ± 0.54 and 7.16 ± 0.62 μmol·L^(-1), respectively.

An ab initio calculations on the ground and low-lying excited statesX2∑＋,2^2∑＋,3^2∑＋,1^4∏,2^4∏,1^4∑＋,2^4∑＋,and 3^4∑＋of KBe molecule have been performed using multireference configuration interaction （MRCI） plus Davidsoncorrections （MRCI＋Q） approach with all electron basis set aug-cc-pCV5Z-DK for Be and def2-AQZVPP-JKFI for K.3^2∑＋,1^4∏,2^4∏,1^4∑＋,2^4∑＋and3^4∑＋states are investigated for the first time. Inner shell electron correlations are computed on the potential energy curves （PECs） calculations. The spectroscopic and molecular parameters are also predicted. In addition, The transition properties including transition dipole moment, Franck-Condon factors qv′v″, Einstein coefficients Av′v″, and the radiative lifetimesτ′for the2^2∑＋-X2∑＋,3^2∑＋-X2∑＋,and 2^4∏-1^4∏ transitions are predictedat the same time.
