Feline calicivirus(FCV)was a highly prevalent RNA virus causing upper respiratory tract infections in cats through the mouth and nose around the world,result in the death of cats especially under 1 year old with upper respiratory tract disease(URTD)and virulent systemic disease(FCV-VSD)[1].Infected cats usually presented with mouth ulcers,salivation and ***,both recovered cats and asymptomatic carriers can still carry and spread the FCV virus for extended periods of time,contributing to the potential for *** presented a significant threat to the health and lives of cats,and rare wildlife and took a heavy financial loss on the pet industry,making the prevention and control of the virus ***,rapid identification of FCV in clinical samples was necessary to prevent the spread of FCV and avoid financial loss.

Isolation and Identification of a Porcine Pseudorabies Virus Strain in Taizhou City

In this study, the liver, kidney and spleen tissues were collected from pigs with suspected PR in a pig farm in Jiangyan District, Taizhou City for virus isolation and identification. The isolated virus was inoculated onto PK15 monolayer cells. The virus culture was collected to extract genomic DNA for PCR assay and indirect immunoinfluscent assay. The results showed that the isolated virus was porcine pseudorabies virus, which was named TAIZ130417. The growth titer of the isolated virus reached 10 8.12 TCID 50 /ml on PK15 cells. Rabbits inoculated with the isolated virus soon exhibited pseudorabies symptoms such as itching and eventually died. The results provided reference for in-depth research and scientific prevention and control of pseudorabies.

In September 2011, an infectious disease suspected to be postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome （PMWS） broke out in some pig farm in Taizhou. The inguinal lymph node, liver and lung tissues were collected and grinded into tissue suspension. The suspension was subjected to PCR detection, and the positive product was sequenced. The suspension of positive samples was filtered with 0.22 μm filter membrane, and the filtrate was inoculated onto PK15 cells. After five generations of blind passages, the cell viral liquid was collected and extracted for DNA, which was subjected to PCR detection and indirect immunofluorescence. The results showed that the isolate was porcine circovirus type 2 （PCV2） and designated as TAIZ110926. The target sequence was committed to NCBI with a serial number： KF039888.

Phanerochaete chrysosporium was selected as the production strain of laccase,and the effects of stirring speed,ventilation volume,culture temperature,inoculation amount and initial p H of medium on laccase production by liquid fermentation in cylinder were *** the basis of single factor test,an orthogonal test was carried out to find optimal conditions for laccase production *** through liquid *** results showed that the stirring speed of fermentation cylinder had the highest effect on laccase production,and the optimal conditions were shown as follows:the temperature at 28℃,the rotating speed at 300 r/min,the ventilation volume of 5 L/min(ventilation ratio of 1.0 vvm),the initial p H of medium of 5,and the inoculation amount of 15%,which gave the highest laccase level of 14.86 U/ml.

Effect of resveratrol treatment on apoptosis and apoptotic pathways during boar semen freezing

Resveratrol(3,5,4’-trihydroxystilbene,RSV) has been widely used in mammalian cells,but whether it can be used during freezing boar semen is still *** effects of RSV treatment during boar semen freezing on its anti-freezing ability,apoptosis,and possible apoptotic pathways were observed in this *** motility,mitochondrial membrane potential(ΔΨm),adenosine triphosphate(ATP) content,terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase(TdT)-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling(TUNEL)-positive apoptotic state,and messenger RNA(mRNA) expression levels of apoptotic genes involved in different apoptotic pathways after freezing with or without RSV treatment were *** results showed that:(1) Compared with fresh sperm,the motility,normal acrosome rate,and plasma membrane integrity rate of frozen boar sperm decreased significantly(P0.05),but it did significantly improve the normal acrosome rate(57.65% vs.47.00%,P<0.05) and plasma membrane integrity rate(46.67% vs.38.85%,P<0.05).(2) After freezing,most boar sperm showed low mitochondrial ΔΨ*** treatment could increase the rate of high mitochondrial ΔΨm of boar sperm.(3) RSV treatment significantly decreased reactive oxygen species(ROS) levels(58.65% vs.88.41%,P<0.05)and increased the ATP content(0.49 μmol/L vs.0.25 μmol/L,P<0.05) of boar sperm during freezing.(4) The apoptotic rate of the freezing group(80.41%) with TUNEL detection increased significantly compared to the fresh group(9.70%,P<0.05),and RSV treatment greatly decreased the apoptotic rate(68.32%,P<0.05).(5) Real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) showed that not only the genes from the death receptor-mediated apoptotic pathway(tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),Fas ligand(FasL),and Caspase-8),but also the genes from the mitochondria-mediated apoptotic pathway(manganese superoxide dismutase(MnSOD),B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2),Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax),and Caspase-9) were both signific

[ Objective] This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of contagious caprine pleuropneumonia in Taizhou City, jiangsu Province. [ Method] By using indirect hemagglutination assay kits for detection of antibodies against Mycoplasma capricolum subsp, capripneumoniae （ Mecp）, Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. capriclonum （Mmc） and Mycopalsam ovipneumonia （ Movi）, 1 157 goat sera from Taizhou City of jiangsu Province were detected. [ Result ] The average positive detection rate of Mccp and Mmc in infected goats was 51.85% and 39.81%, respectively; the average positive detection rate of Mccp and Mmc in non-infected goats was 10.52% and 5.84%, respectively, and the total positive detection rate of Mycoplasma infections was 16.37%. [ Conclusion ] Mycoplasma infections oc- cur commonly in Taizhou City. The prevention and control of Mycoplasma infections should be strengthened.

Effects of Compound Plant Extract on Growth Performance of Sujiang Pigs

The experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of compound plant extract on the growth performance and economic benefits of Sujiang pigs during the fattening period. A total of 50 Sujiang pigs,weighing about 60 kg( there were no significant differences in the weight of the pigs),were selected. They were randomly and evenly divided into five groups: control group,A,B,C and D groups. The pigs in the control group were fed basal diet. For the pigs in the A,B,C and D groups,per kg of basal diet was added with 100,200,300 and 400 mg of compound plant extract,respectively. The experimental duration was 44 d. The results showed that in the treatment groups,the average daily weight gains were 15. 57%,20. 68%,17. 95% and 7. 31%,respectively higher than that of the control group,the feed-gain ratios were13. 29%,16. 92%,15. 11% and 11. 48%,respectively lower than that of the control group( P > 0. 05),and the economic benefits were62. 65,83. 23,72. 50 and 42. 11 yuan,respectively higher than that of the control group. In conclusion,the addition of compound plant extract in the basal diet of Sujiang pigs during fattening period can improve the economic benefit,and the economic benefit is best when the addition amount is 200 mg/kg.

Impacts of Active Ingredients of Three Traditional Chinese Medicine on Immune Effect of PCV2 Vaccine

[ Objective ] The paper was to screen the active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine （ TCM）, which significantly enhanced the immune effect of porcine circovirus type 2 （PCV2） vaccine. [Method]Sixty-six 14-day-old piglets were randomly divided into 11 groups, including immune control group, blank control group and nine drug groups. Piglets that were reared for 21 d were intramuscularly injected with 2 mL of inactivated vaccine in cervical region expect for blank control group. Piglets in nine drug groups were administrated with 5 mL of matrine, scutellarin and astragalus polysaecharide （ASP） at three doses （ high dose 12 mg, medium dose 8 nag, low dose 4 mg） three days before and after immunization; piglets in blank control group and irmnune control group were administrated with equal volume of normal saline. Five piglets were randomly selected from each group to collect venous blood at 7, 14, 21 and 28 d post immunization, and the PCV2 antibody level, the concentration of specific immunoglobulin [gG, the changes in peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets, and the content of serum IL-2 and IFN-γ were determined. [ Result] The immunological effects of active ingredients of three TCM on PCV2 vaccine all enhanced at different degree. The effects of scutellarin middle dose group was the best. [ Conclusion ] Scutellarin could be used as a candidate drug for PCV2 vaccine immunoenhancer.
