Characteristics of neighborhood interaction in urban land-use changes： A comparative study between three metropolitan areas of Japan

Local spatial interaction between neighborhood land-use categories （i.e. neighborhood interaction） is an important factor which affects urban land-use change patterns. Therefore,it is a key component in cellular automata （CA）-based urban geosimulation models towards the simulation and forecast of urban land-use changes. Purpose of this paper is to interpret the similarities and differences of the characteristics of neighborhood interaction in urban land-use changes of different metropolitan areas in Japan for providing empirical materials to understand the mechanism of urban land-use changes and construct urban geosimulation models. Characteristics of neighborhood interaction in urban land-use changes of three metropolitan areas in Japan,i.e. Tokyo,Osaka,and Nagoya,were compared using such aids as the neighborhood interaction model and similarity measure function. As a result,urban land-use in the three metropolitan areas was found to have had similar structure and patterns during the study period. Characteristics of neighborhood interaction in urban land-use changes are quite different from land-use categories,meaning that the mechanism of urban land-use changes comparatively differs among land-use categories. Characteristics of neighborhood interaction reveal the effect of spatial autocorrelation in the spatial process of urban land-use changes in the three metropolitan areas,which correspond with the characteristics of agglomeration of urban land-use allocation in Japan. Neighborhood interaction amidst urban land-use changes between the three metropolitan areas generally showed similar characteristics. The regressed neighborhood interaction coefficients in the models may represent the general characteristics of neighborhood effect on urban land-use changes in the cities of Japan. 目的探讨因单纯二尖瓣关闭不全行二尖瓣置换术(MVR)发生术后心房颤动(POAF)与心脏迷走神经功能变化的关系。方法本研究为病例对照研究,选取2020年3月至2023年7月北部战区总医院心血管外科收治的290例因二尖瓣关闭不全需行MVR出现POAF的患者,男160例,女130例,年龄(58.20±10.53)岁,年龄范围为48~77岁。根据术后心脏相邻RR间期差值的平方根(RMSSD)指标将患者分为迷走神经功能减低组(RMSSD39 ms,n=30)。观察患者MVR围术期RMSSD变化趋势,分析围术期迷走神经功能改变和MVR发生POAF的关系。结果290例患者术前7 d的RMSSD指标[(26.48±13.81)ms]高于术后7 d[(23.73±12.79)ms],差异有统计学意义(P0.05);迷走神经功能亢进组的POAF发生率高于迷走神经功能减低组,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论MVR术后患者心脏迷走神经功能变化和POAF的关系是非线性的,术后迷走神经功能正常时心房颤动发生率更高.

香蕉ADA1家族成员鉴定及其在生物和非生物胁迫下的表达分析

Spt-Ada-Gcn5-乙酰转移酶(Spt-Ada-Gcn5-acetyltransferase,SAGA)是高度保守的辅助转录起始复合物,转录接头蛋白-激活的改变/缺失亚基1(alteration/deficiency in activation 1,ADA1),也称作组蛋白H2A功能互作因子1(histone H2A functional interactor 1,HFI1),它是SAGA核心模块中的一个亚基,在植物的生长发育和抗逆性方面发挥着重要的作用。为了解香蕉ADA1的分子特性,本研究基于香蕉基因组数据库,对香蕉ADA1基因家族成员进行鉴定,分析其基本理化性质、系统进化、选择压力、启动子顺式作用元件及生物与非生物胁迫下的表达等。结果显示,香蕉A、B及阿宽蕉基因组中分别有10、6、7个ADA1家族成员;成员均为不稳定的亲水性蛋白,均保守地含有SAGA-Tad1结构域,MaADA1和MbADA1均可与SAGA核心模块中的SAGA相关因子11(SAGA-associated factor 11,Sgf11)互作;系统发育显示香蕉ADA1基因家族成员可划分为3个亚族,进化过程中大多受纯化选择;香蕉ADA1基因家族成员的基因结构差异性较大;香蕉ADA1基因家族成员含有多个响应激素的作用元件;MaADA1-1可能对香蕉在低温胁迫下的抗性起着重要的作用,MaADA1均响应香蕉枯萎病菌胁迫。本研究表明,ADA1基因家族成员在香蕉中高度保守,并可能响应生物与非生物胁迫。

Water Management for Improvement of Rice Yield,Appearance Quality and Palatability with High Temperature During Ripening Period

To clarify the optimal water management in large-scale fields under high temperatures at the ripening period,effective water managements during this period for improvement of yield,appearance quality and palatability were *** with intermittent irrigation and flooded irrigation,the soil temperature with saturated irrigation remained low throughout the day,and the decrease rate of the bleeding rate of hills was the *** results suggested that the saturated irrigation maintained root *** the three irrigation types,the number of spikelets per m2 and 1000-grain weight were similar,however,saturated irrigation resulted in significantly higher rice yield due to improvement in the percentage of ripened *** saturated irrigation produced a high percentage of perfect rice grains and thicker brown rice grain,furthermore,the palatability of cooked rice was excellent because protein content and hardness/adhesion ratio were both ***,under high-temperature ripening conditions,soil temperature was lowered and root activity was maintained when applying saturated irrigation after heading *** results indicated that saturated irrigation is an effective countermeasure against high-temperature ripening damage.

Tumor growth requires oxygen and nutrient supplementation through angiogenesis from preexisting vascular beds. Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is a hyper-vascularized tumor with a predominant arterial blood flow. Therefore, targeting angiogenesis is essential for treating HCC. Parallelization and sustainability of distributed genetic algorithms on many-core processors

Purpose–The purpose of this paper is to propose a fault-tolerant technology for increasing the durability of application programs when evolutionary computation is performed by fast parallel processing on many-core processors such as graphics processing units(GPUs)and multi-core processors(MCPs).Design/methodology/approach–For distributed genetic algorithm(GA)models,the paper proposes a method where an island’s ID number is added to the header of data transferred by this island for use in fault ***–The paper has shown that the processing time of the proposed idea is practically negligible in applications and also shown that an optimal solution can be obtained even with a single stuck-at fault or a transient fault,and that increasing the number of parallel threads makes the system less susceptible to ***/value–The study described in this paper is a new approach to increase the sustainability of application program using distributed GA on GPUs and MCPs.

Forecasting Daily Electric Load by Applying Artificial Neural Network with Fourier Transformation and Principal Component Analysis Technique

In this paper,we propose a hybrid forecasting model(HFM)for the short-term electric load forecasting using artificial neural network(ANN),discrete Fourier transformation(DFT)and principal component analysis(PCA)techniques in order to attain higher prediction ***,we estimate Fourier coefficients by the DFT for predicting the next-day load curve with an ANN and obtain approximate load curves by applying the inverse discrete Fourier *** curves,together with other input variables,are given to the ANN to predict the next-day hourly load ***,we predict PCA scores to obtain approximate load curves in the first step,which are then given to the ANN again in the second *** DFT and PCA models use input variables such as calendrical and meteorological data as well as past electric *** those models for forecasting hourly electric load in the metropolitan area of Japan for January and May in 2018,we train our models using historical data since January *** forecast results show that the HFM consisting of“ANN with DFT”and“ANN with PCA”predicts next-day hourly loads more accurately than the conventional three-layered ANN *** corresponding mean average absolute errors show 2.7%for ANN with DFT,2.6%for ANN with PCA and 3.0%for the conventional ANN *** also find that in May,when electric demand is smaller with smaller fluctuations,forecasting errors are much smaller than January for all the ***,we can conclude that the HFM would contribute to attaining significantly higher forecasting accuracy.

Sigmoid colon endometriosis treated with laparoscopy-assisted sigmoidectomy:Significance of preoperative diagnosis

We present a female patient with sigmoid colon endometriosis who was diagnosed correctly preoperatively and underwent minimally invasive surgery. She was admitted to our hospital with rectal bleeding and constipation. We performed several workups. Colonoscopy and endoscopic ultrasonography showed sigmoid colon stenosis caused by submucosal tumor, and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a sigmoid colon tumor displaying signal hy- pointensity on both T1- and T2-weighted imaging. However, colonoscopic ultrasonography-assisted needle aspiration biopsy could not specify tumor characteristics. From these examinations, the lesion was diagnosed as sigmoid colon endometriosis and laparoscopy-assisted sigmoidectomy was performed. Pathological diagnosis from the resected specimen was identical to preoperative diagnosis, i.e., colonic endometriosis. Since differential diagnosis of intestinal endometriosis seems difficult, a cautious preoperative diagnosis is required to select treatments including minimally invasive surgery.

Martensitic transformation with good structural compatibility between parent and martensitic phases are required for shape memory alloys(SMAs)in terms of functional *** this study,first-principles-based materials screening is systematically performed to investigate the intermetallic compounds with the martensitic phases by focusing on energetic and dynamical stabilities as well as structural compatibility with the parent *** B2,D0_(3),and L2_(1) crystal structures are considered as the parent phases,and the 2H and 6M structures are considered as the martensitic *** total,3384 binary and 3243 ternary alloys with stoichiometric composition ratios are *** is found that 187 alloys survive after the *** of the surviving alloys are constituted by the chemical elements already widely used in SMAs,but other various metallic elements are also found in the surviving *** energetic stability of the surviving alloys is further analyzed by comparison with the data in Materials Project Database(MPD)to examine the alloys whose martensitic structures may cause further phase separation or transition to the other structures.

This review provides the up-to-date physiological,pathophysiological,and carcinogenic roles of autophagy in the *** data on its physiological roles are mainly obtained with genetically engineered mice,demonstrating the importance of autophagy for the maintenance of cell homeostasis and survival as well as provision of building blocks for sufficient synthesis of proteins such as *** and negative controls of autophagic activity by thyrotropin and thyroid hormone,respectively,are now *** thyroid cancer,there is no published study on the role for autophagy in the initiation/development of thyroid cancer,and there exist many inconsistent data regarding its role in established thyroid cancer *** example,definitive conclusions remain to be elucidated regarding the level of autophagic activity in thyroid cancer cells and the effect of autophagy inducers/inhibitors on cancer cell survival/***,when autophagy is targeted in novel cancer therapeutics,some studies show its pro-survival,but others its anti-survival or context-dependent,effects on thyroid cancer *** studies are in the future necessary to further elucidate the potential of autophagy as a therapeutic target for thyroid cancer.
