A 1∶8 physical water model was constructed to investigate the fluid flow and mixing phenomena in the basic oxygen furnace(BOF)*** particle image velocimetry was employed to measure the velocity distribution of the bath and the high-speed camera was applied to capture the cavity shape in the combined blowing BOF *** mixing time for varied operating conditions was measured by the stimulus-response *** cavity depth increased with the decrease in the lance height and the increase in the top gas flow rate while the bottom blowing gas had little influence on the cavity *** minimum cavity depth was obtained under the condition of a 69.8 m^(3)/h top gas flow rate,a 287.5 mm lance height and a 0.93 m^(3)/h bottom blowing gas flow rate,which was 161.2 *** mixing time decreased as the lance height decreased and the top blowing gas flow rate *** mixing time was first decreased and then increased with the increase in the bottom gas flow *** the condition of 69.8 m^(3)/h gas flow rate of top blowing,the 287.5 mm lance height and the 0.93 m^(3)/h gas flow rate of bottom blowing,the mixing time in the converter was 48.65 *** empirical formula between the stirring power and the mixing time in the converter was calculated.

Quantifying freeze-melt dynamics of lakes on the Tibetan Plateau using Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar imagery

The ice phenology of alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)is a rapid and direct responder to climate changes,and the variations in lake ice exhibit high temporal frequency *** and passive microwave data are widely used to monitor lake ice changes with high temporal ***,the low spatial resolutions make it difficult to effectively quantify the freeze-melt dynamics of *** work used Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar(SAR)data to derive high-resolution ice maps(about 6 days),then with the aid of Sentinel-2 optical images to quantify freeze-melt processes in three typical lakes on the TP(*** Co,Ayakekumu Lake,and Nam Co).The results showed that three lakes had an average annual ice period of 125-157 days and a complete ice cover period of 72-115 days,from 2018 to *** exhibit different ice phenology *** Co is characterized by repeated episodes of freezing,melting,and refreezing,resulting in a prolonged freeze-up ***,the break-up period of Nam Co lasts for a longer duration(about 19 days),and the break-up exhibits a smooth ***,Ayakekumu Lake showed more significant inter-annual fluctuations in the freeze-up period,with deviations of up to 28 days observed among different *** to the other two lakes,Selin Co experienced a relatively short freeze-up and break-up *** short,Sentinel-1 SAR data can effectively monitor the weekly and seasonal variations in lake ice on the ***,this data facilitates quantification of the freeze-melt dynamics.

Lake level, area and volume are sensitive indicators of climate change. At present, many studies have focused on the interannual water balance of lakes, but lake level and area can change remarkably with seasons, especially for lakes with seasonal ice cover. Zhari Namco, a seasonal frozen lake, was selected as an example to investigate its seasonal water balance. Multi-source altimetry and Landsat data were used to obtain the seasonal lake level and area from 1992 to 2019, and seasonal lake volume variations were also estimated. The results indicated the average lake level, area and volume in autumn were the largest. The lake level, area, and volume experienced three turning points approximately in 2000, 2010, and 2016, and showed an overall increasing trend from 1992 to 2019, with slopes of 0.15 m/year, 2.17 km2/year, and 0.14 km3/year, respectively. The lake area expanded significantly in autumn, which was related to the abundant precipitation. Delay time of land surface runoff, increased temperature, and evaporation may be the reason for the low lake level and volume in summer. The precipitation was the dominant factor of water balance, which explained 62.09%, 62.43%, and 62.10% of the variations in lake level, area, and volume, respectively.

Introducing heavy halogen atoms into organic small molecules is a practical strategy for efficient singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))***,bromine or iodine atoms are introduced on the aza-borondipyrromethene(aza-BODIPY)core,rather than on the periphery aryl rings for efficient~1O_(2) ***,an aza-BODIPY dye NBDPBr with unexpected bromination on the periphery aryl rings was synthesized for photoacoustic(PA)imaging-guided synergistic photothermal therapy(PTT)and photodynamic therapy(PDT)in tumor *** to unexcepted bromination at the periphery aryl rings,NBDPBr demonstrated an outstanding singlet oxygen quantum yield(Φ_(Δ))of 66% which was superior to similar brominated photosensitizers previously *** encapsulation with amphiphilic polymer F-127,hydrophilic NBDPBr nanoparticles(NPs)were fabricated and exhibited an excellent photothermal conversion efficiency(η)of 43.0% under 660 nm *** vivo PA imaging results demonstrated that NBDPBr NPs could specifically accumulate at tumor sites and realized the maximum tumor retention at 7 h *** the in vitro and in vivo results indicated the significant potence of NBDPBr with unexpected bis-bromination for PA imaging-guided synergetic PDT/PTT.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Huashi Baidu Granules(HSBD)in treating patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron ***:A single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted during COVID-19 Omicron epidemic in the Mobile Cabin Hospital of Shanghai New International Expo Center from April 1st to May 23rd,*** COVID-19 patients with asymptomatic or mild infection were assigned to the treatment group(HSBD users)and the control group(non-HSBD users).After propensity score matching in a 1:1 ratio,496 HSBD users of treatment group were matched by propensity score to 496 non-HSBD *** in the treatment group were administrated HSBD(5 g/bag)orally for 1 bag twice a day for 7 consecutive *** in the control group received standard care and routine *** primary outcomes were the negative conversion time of nucleic acid and negative conversion rate at day *** outcomes included the hospitalized days,the time of the first nucleic acid negative conversion,and new-onset symptoms in asymptomatic *** events(AEs)that occurred during the study were *** subgroup analysis was conducted in vaccinated(378 HSBD users and 390 non-HSBD users)and unvaccinated patients(118 HSBD users and 106 non-HSBD users).Results:The median negative conversion time of nucleic acid in the treatment group was significantly shortened than the control group[3 days(IQR:2-5 days)vs.5 days(IQR:4-6 days);P<0.01].The negative conversion rate of nucleic acid in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group at day 7(91.73%vs.86.90%,P=0.014).Compared with the control group,the hospitalized days in the treatment group were significantly reduced[10 days(IQR:8-11 days)vs.11 days(IQR:10.25-12 days);P<0.01].The time of the first nucleic acid negative conversion had significant differences between the treatment and control groups[3 days(IQR:2-4 days)vs.5 days(IQR:

Background: Hypertensive disorder of pregnancy (HDP) is a group of diseases in which pregnancy and elevated blood pressure coexist. There is still a lack of reliable clinical tools to predict the incidence of HDP. The purpose of this study was to establish and validate a nomogram prediction model for assessing the risk of HDP in pregnant women based on laboratory indicators and HDP risk factors. Method: A total of 307 pregnant women who were hospitalized in the obstetrics and gynecology department of our hospital were included in this study, and were randomly divided into a training cohort and validation cohort at a ratio of 7:3. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify independent risk factors for the development of HDP on laboratory indicators as well as risk factors for HDP in the training cohort of patients. The results of the multivariate regression model were visualized by forest plots. A nomogram was constructed based on the results of multivariate logistic regression to predict the risk of HDP in pregnant women. The validity of the risk prediction model was evaluated by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), the consistency index (C-index), the calibration curve and the decision curve analysis (DCA). Results: BMI ≥ 25 Kg/m2, total cholesterol in early pregnancy, uric acid and proteinuria in late pregnancy were independent risk factors for HDP. The AUC and C-index of the nomogram constructed by the above four factors were both 0.848. The calibration curve is closely fitted with the ideal diagonal, showing a good consistency between the nomogram prediction and the actual observation of HDP. The DCA has demonstrated the great clinical utility of nomogram. Internal verification proves the reliability of the predicted nomograms. Conclusion: The BTUP nomogram model based on laboratory indicators and risk factors proposed in this study showed good predictive value for the risk assessment of HDP.
