Phytophthora pathogens lead to numerous economically damaging plant diseases worldwide,including potato late blight caused by *** and soybean root rot caused by *** previous work showed that Phytophthora pathogens may generate abundant phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate(PI3P)to promote infection via direct association with RxLR ***,we designed a disease control strategy for metabolizing pathogen-derived PI3P by expressing secreted Arabidopsis thaliana phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase 1(AtPIP5K1),which can phosphorylate PI3P to PI(3,4)*** fused AtPIP5K1 with the soybean PR1a signal peptide(SP-PIP5K1)to enable its secretion into the plant *** soybean and potato plants expressing SP-PIP5K1 showed substantially enhanced resistance to various *** and *** isolates,***-PIP5K1 significantly reduced PI3P accumulation during *** and soybean *** or inhibition of PI3 kinases(PI3Ks)in *** compromised the resistance mediated by SP-PIP5K1,indicating that SP-PIP5K1 action requires a supply of pathogen-derived ***,we revealed that SP-PIP5K1 can interfere with the action of *** mediated by the RxLR effector *** novel disease control strategy has the potential to confer durable broad-spectrum Phytophthora resistance in plants through a clear mechanism in which catabolism of PI3P interferes with RxLR effector actions.

Antiferroelectric materials with double hysteresis loops are attractive for energy storage applications,which are becoming increasingly important for power electronics *** them,AgNbO_(3) based lead-free ceramics have attracted intensive interest as one of promising environmental-friendly ***,most of the AgNbO_(3) based ceramics suffers from low dielectric breakdown strength(Eb).The limitation of low Eb is broken to some extent in this ***,AgNbO_(3) epitaxial films were fabricated by pulsed laser deposition,which possess high Eb of 624 kV/***(001)AgNbO_(3) epitaxial film reveals typical antiferroelectric hysteresis loops when the applied electric fields are over 300 kV/cm.A recoverable energy density of 5.8 J/cm^(3) and an energy efficiency of 55.8%are obtained at 600 kV/cm,which demonstrates the great promise of the AgNbO_(3) film for energy storage applications.

Osteosarcoma is a kind of bone tumor with highly proliferative and invasive properties,a high incidence of pulmonary metastasis and a poor *** is the mainstay of treatment for ***,there are no molecular targeted drugs approved for osteosarcoma treatment,particularly effective drugs for osteosarcoma with pulmonary *** has been reported that fibroblast activation protein alpha(FAPa)is upregulated in osteosarcoma and critically associated with osteosarcoma progression and metastasis,demonstrating that FAPa-targeted agents might be a promising therapeutic strategy for *** the present study,we reported that the FAPa-activated vinblastine prodrug Z-GP-DAVLBH exhibited potent antitumor activities against FAPa-positive osteosarcoma cells in vitro and in vivo.Z-GP-DAVLBH inhibited the growth and induced the apoptosis of osteosarcoma ***,it also decreased the migration and invasion capacities and reversed epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)of osteosarcoma cells in vitro and suppressed pulmonary metastasis of osteosarcoma xenografts in ***,Z-GP-DAVLBH suppressed the AXL/AKT/GSK-3β/β-catenin pathway,leading to inhibition of the growth and metastatic spread of osteosarcoma *** findings demonstrate that Z-GP-DAVLBH is a promising agent for the treatment of FAPa-positive osteosarcoma,particularly osteosarcoma with pulmonary metastases.

Test-Retest Reliability of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging Activation for a Vergence Eye Movement Task

Vergence eye movements are the inward and outward rotation of the eyes responsible for binocular *** studies have mapped and investigated the neural substrates of vergence,it is not well understood whether vergence eye movements evoke the blood oxygen level-dependent signal reliably in separate experimental *** test-retest reliability of stimulus-induced vergence eye movement tasks during a functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI)experiment is important for future randomized clinical trials(RCTs).In this study,we established region of interest(ROI)masks for the vergence neural ***-seven binocularly normal young adults participated in two functional imaging sessions measured on different days on the same 3 T Siemens *** fMRI experiments used a block design of sustained visual fixation and rest blocks interleaved between task blocks that stimulated eight or four vergence eye *** test-retest reliability of task-activation was assessed using the intraclass correlation coefficient(ICC),and that of spatial extent was assessed using the Dice *** activation during the vergence eye movement task of eight movements compared to rest was repeatable within the primary visual cortex(ICC=0.8),parietal eye fields(ICC=0.6),supplementary eye field(ICC=0.5),frontal eye fields(ICC=0.5),and oculomotor vermis(ICC=0.6).The results demonstrate significant test-retest reliability in the ROIs of the vergence neural substrates for functional activation magnitude and spatial extent using the stimulus protocol of a task block stimulating eight vergence eye movements compared to sustained *** ROIs can be used in future longitudinal RCTs to study patient populations with vergence dysfunctions.

AlGaN/GaN heterojunction field-effect transistors(HFETs)with p-GaN cap layer are developed for normally-off operation,in which an in-situ grown AlN layer is utilized as the gate *** with the SiNxgate insulator,the AlN/p-GaN interface presents a more obvious energy band bending and a wider depletion region,which helps to positively shift the threshold *** addition,the relatively large conduction band offset of AlN/p-GaN is beneficial to suppress the gate leakage current and enhance the gate breakdown *** to the introduction of AlN layer,normally-off p-GaN capped AlGaN/GaN HFET with a threshold voltage of 4 V and a gate swing of 13 V is ***,the field-effect mobility is approximately 1500 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1)in the 2DEG channel,implying a good device performance.

Thermal shock resistance enhancement by improved interfacial bonding for carbon/aluminium composites
