The molecular mechanisms for NF-κB signaling transduction and transcription have been the most attractive subjects for both basic research and pharmaceutical industries due to its important roles in both physiological and pathogenesis,particularly the close association of dysregulated NF-κB with tumorgenesis and *** novel intracellular molecular events that regulate NF-κB activity have been described recently,including the discovery of an alternative signaling pathway that appears inducing a specific subset genes involved in adoptive immune ***-level and multi-dimensional regulation of NF-κB activity by phosphorylation and acetylation modifications have unveiled and became the hottest targets for potentially tissue specific molecular *** emerging mechanism for NF-κB-responsive gene's regulation where NF-κB participates the transcriptional regulation independent of its cognate regulatory binding site within the target gene's promoter but facilitating the transaction activity of other involved transcription factors, that implicated an novel transcriptional activities for NF-κ***,the current review will focus on these recent progresses that have been made on NF-κB signaling transduction and *** & molecular Immunology.2004;1(6):425-435.

Recent studies shown that the IFN regulatory factor 4-binding protein (IBP) plays multiple biological roles in the activation,proliferation and differentiation of immun *** order to explore the potential role of IBP in human diseases,The murine hybridoma 2A2 specific for human IBP was obtained epitope *** found that IBP is not only expressed in immun cells as relevant to its functional studies so far executed,but also in human colon cancer cell lines by immunoblotting and *** strain mAb does not react with native IBP in immunocytochemistry (ICH) or immunohistochemistry (IHC).To further evaluate the significance of IBP expression in human colorectal cancer,we generated polyclonal antibodies with high specificity and sensitivity against human IBP through affinity *** systematic assay revealed that 42 cases were IBP-positive in 63 colorectal cancer tissues,while IBP expression was not detectable in control normal tissues with the same origin (p1).Moreover,IBP expression is related to the differentiation of colorectal cancer cells (p<0.05).Taken together,with the Abs generated in this report,future works related to IBP functional characterization,and its potential role in colorectal cancer development would be greatly facilitated.
