Understanding the paleomires of Eocene lignites of Kachchh Basin, Gujarat （Western India）： petrological implications

The present paper entails the results of the investigations carried out on the lignite deposits of Kachchh Basin. The lignite samples were drawn from five lignite seams from Panandhro lignite field （Seam-I to -v） and eight lignite seams （Seam-I to -vIII） from the Matanomadh lignite field which are currently operational. The petrographic analysis of the lignites indicates a dominance of huminite group of macerals which is mainly contributed by ulminite-A, ulminite-B, attrinite, densinite, and phlobaphinite. Liptinite （chiefly sporinite, cutinite, resinite, and liptodetrinite） and inertinite （chiefly fusinite, funginite, and inertodetrinite） groups occur in subordinated amount. The mineral matter occurs in moderate concentration. Though sulfur content is high in these lignites, there is no fixed trend of variation of sulfur from bottom seam to top seam. The investigation reveals a flooded forest swamp having high rate of degradation. However, there were a few drier periods indicated by relatively more inertinite macerals. The petrography-based models indicate that the Kachchh lignites of Gujarat evolved in coastal marshy setting under transgressive phase. However, there were few intermittent fluvial activities giving rise to supratidal flood plain. This led to the formation of the associated carbonaceous shales in the basin.

In this paper we report, for the first time, a new approach for synthesis of high quality faceted microcrystalline coatings of molybdenum (Mo), tungsten (W), their carbides and composites. These studies are carried out using Hot Filament Chemical vapor Deposition (HF-CvD) method wherein parent materials (Mo and/or W) are taken in the form of wires (~0.5 mmdia) and are heated to a high temperature (TF ~ 1500 - 2000 C), in ambient of “oxygen (O2) diluted hydrogen (H2) gas”. Due to high filament temperature (TF), a series of pyrolytic reactions take place. Firstly, the gasification of wire material (Mo and/or W) occurs in the form of its oxide. The oxide molecules reach the substrate which is kept underneath the filament assembly. Secondly, molecular hydrogen gets dissociated into atomic hydrogen and subsequently reaches the substrate to react with oxide molecules, finally leading to the precipitation of a pure metal. This method can also be used, in situ, to convert metallic coatings into their carbides and/or composites. The method offers many other attractive features, which can not be rendered by the conventionalCvD/PvDmethods. The results are discussed in terms of temperature induced “Red-ox” reactions.

Background and purpose:There exist two major consensus guidelines for target delineation in glioblastoma(GBM).Namely the established radiation therapy oncology group(RTOG)and the recently redefined European society for radiation oncology(EORTC)-advisory committee on radiation oncology practice(ACROP),clinical studies evaluating the pattern of recurrence with relation to the CTv margins have as of date not evidenced statistically significant difference in relation to the two ***,considering the standardization of concurrent chemo-radiation with Temozolomide nearly 20%off patients can be expected to survive 2years or *** of life issues will play a higher role in defining the better *** the current study,we have dosimetrically compared these guidelines in both *** and methods:Thirty patients of GBM who had been planned for conformal radiotherapy during Jan 2017 to Feb 2019 were *** patient dataset contoured with ESTRO-ACROP guidelines to create PLAN A and RTOG guidelines to create PLAN *** plans were compared to evaluate the volumetric difference in terms of PTv and the relative proximity to critical normal ***:The median volume of brain irradiated to high doses(60Gy)was significantly greater in PLAN B,566cc vs 398 cc(Pv *** achieved significance for Brainstem(Pv volume>400cc and with tumor in Parietal or Temporal regions wouldn’t benefit from PLAN ***:The use of target delineation based on a single step plan,excluding expanded edema(ESTRO-ACROP)could potentially reduce high dose target volumes and significantly spare brainstem,optic-chiasma,and *** with tumor volume<400 cc and frontal lesions are most likely to benefit.

The main objective of implementing charging stations is to ensure the good charging to theElectric vehicles by using a solar Pv array which is interconnected to the battery energy storagesystems. The charging station regulates the supply voltage and frequency without the use of amechanical speed governor. It also assures that energy gained from grid or by the DG set willhave the unity power factor (UPF) when the load is nonlinear. Besides this, the Point of CommonCoupling (PCC) voltage is synchronised with the grid/generator voltage in order to providecontinuous charging. In order to increase the optimal efficiency of the charging stations, thecharging stations will perform the active/reactive power transfer from the vehicle to grid, vehicleto house and vehicle to vehicle (v2v) power transfer. The operational experiment of the chargingstation is simulated and verified by using MATLAB/SIMULINK.

The morphological transformation of adipogenic progenitors into mature adipocytes requires dissolution of actin cytoskeleton with loss of myocardin-related transcription factor(MRTF)/serum response factor(SRF)*** clock confers temporal control in adipogenic differentiation,while the actin cytoskeleton–MRTF/SRF signaling transduces extracellular physical niche ***,we define a novel circadian transcriptional control involved in actin cytoskeleton–MRTF/SRF signaling cascade that modulates beige fat thermogenic *** components of actin dynamic–MRTF/SRF pathway display circadian regulation in beige fat *** core clock regulator,brain and muscle arnt-like 1(Bmal1),exerts direct transcriptional control of genes within the actin dynamic–MRTF/SRF cascade that impacts actin cytoskeleton organization and SRF *** beige fat-selective gene-targeting models together with pharmacological rescues,we further demonstrate that Bmal1 inhibits beige adipogenesis and thermogenic capacity in vivo via the MRTF/SRF *** ablation of Bmal1 induces beigeing with improved glucose homeostasis,whereas its targeted overexpression attenuates thermogenic induction resulting in ***,our findings identify the clock–MRTF/SRF regulatory axis as an inhibitory mechanism of beige fat thermogenic recruitment with significant contribution to systemic metabolic homeostasis.

The Gallium Nitride (GaN) layers grown on silicon substrates by electron beam evaporation technique. X- ray diffraction revealed that polycrystalline GaN was obtained indicating the enhance crystallinity of the films with annealing temperature at 600oC. Crystalline quality of the GaN films was determined by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The crystalline size increases with increasing annealing temperature. The fab- ricated MIS structures were characterized using Capacitance-voltage (C-v) measurements, the capacitance remains nearly constant over a large range in higher negative as well as over a large range in higher positive gate voltages and Current-voltage (I-v) measurements shows low forward and reverse current possibly due to high density defect formation in the thin layer of gallium nitride during its *** film is characterized by X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The XPS spectra show that formation of pure GaN with- out presence of elemental gallium and Ga2O3 in this film.
