Brucellosis is an urgent infectious disease of livestock and wild animals and the commonest human zoonosis. Diagnosis of brucellosis is rather complicated and it has to be obligatorily confirmed by laboratory testing. Direct bacteriological and molecular methods and indirect serological tests are used for brucellosis diagnostics. The choice of the diagnostic tools depends on the overall epidemiological situation in the region and the objectives of the study: validation of the diagnosis, screening (monitoring), cross-sectional studies or confirmation of brucellosis-free status of the region. The review describes current bacteriological, serological and molecular methods, routinely used for the diagnosis of brucellosis in humans and animals. The perspectives of brucellosis diagnostics are also discussed.

本文详细介绍了奥地利施泰尔市 BMW 公司新建成的两个可模拟海拔高度及大气条件的发动机试验台的设计思想、基本原理、设备布置、各种控制装置、各种工况的模拟、数据处理及验证结果。试验台可模拟的条件为:环境温度-30℃～+115℃,进气温度-40℃～+100℃,冷却介质温度-30℃～+115℃,油底壳机油温度-40℃～+140℃;空气相对湿度20%～95%;绝对气压0.070～0.1013MPa。这两个试验台的建成,为 BMW 柴油机的进一步开发提供了新的现代化的测试手段。

Objective: To evaluate the antimicrobial and antifungal activities of the aqueous and partitioned extract of sea anemone Anthopleura nigrescens(A. nigrescens).Methods: The sea anemone A. nigrescens was collected, minced, homogenized,lyophilized and then further partitioned with diethyl ether, acetone, ethanol and *** fractions were evaluated for antimicrobial activity against bacterial and fungal ***: Acetone extract was found to produce a pronounced inhibition of 7.0 mm against Proteus vulgaris and diethyl ether extract inhibited Pseudomonas aeruginosa with an inhibition zone of 6.5 mm. In antifungal activity, ethanol extract showed good activity against Botrytis cinerea, Trichoderma harzianum and rhizopus oryzae compared with other strains. Acetone and ethanol extract of A. nigrescens showed activity against all of pathogens tested. Slight activity was observed in the water extract with inhibition zone of 1.5 ***: The present study revealed that sea anemone A. nigrescens may also contain some biologically active agents which have potential activity against pathogenic microorganisms.

In normal physiological conditions,reactive oxygen and nitrogen species are used as important signaling molecules in the ***,in excess it causes the disruption of cell resulting in their *** stress causes influx in intracellular calcium levels leading to higher concentrations of calcium in the *** accelerated calcium affects both the mitochondria and nuclei leading to excitotoxicity in *** calcium levels are controlled by voltage dependent calcium channels located in the plasma membrane,calcium stores like endoplasmic/sarcoplasmic reticulum and majorly by calcium binding *** study was aimed at analyzing the gene expression of major calcium binding proteins namely calcineurin,calmodulin,calreticulin,synaptotagamin and calsyntenin in stress induced PC 12 ***(1 mM),Peroxynitrite(10 mM),H_(2)O_(2)(100 mM)and High glucose(33 mM)were used to induce oxidative stress in PC12 *** obtained from the study suggest that calcineurin,calmodulin and calsyntenin gene expression were enhanced compared to the control due to oxidative ***,synaptotagmin and calreticulin gene expression were down ***,Akt protein expression(stress marker)was enhanced in PC12 cells with all other stress inducers except in hyperglycemic condition.

Cooperative communication is going to play a vital role in the next generation wireless networks. In this paper we derive the expression for symbol error probability (SEP) of a two-user cooperative diversity system, where two users cooperate through the decode-and-forward (DF) relaying with binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) modulation in a flat rayleigh fading environment. We compare the computational results obtained by the SEP expression with the simulation results using maximal-ratio combining (MrC), equal-gain combining (EGC) and selection combining (SC) techniques. Numerical results show the performance of a cooperative diversity system with maximal-ratio combining is giving better results compared to SC and EGC techniques.

Ground water ecosystem surrounding the uranium processing facility at Jaduguda, India has been studied for natural uranium distribution. Annual intake of uranium through drinking water for members of public residing around the uranium complex is found to be in the range of 41.8 Bquy–1 - 44.4 Bquy–1. The intake and ingestion dose is appreciably low (–1) which is far below the WHO recommended level of 100 uSv.y–1. The excess life time radiological risk due to uranium natural in drinking water is insignificant and found to be of the order of 10–6. Even the highest concentration of uranium was found to be 28 ug.l–1 is away (at 1.5 to 5 km distance) from mining industry and well below the acceptable limit. The ground water in the area around the uranium facility is not affected by the mining activity. The ground water in three zones is safe and reflects the natural distribution of uranium.

In this paper, charge-plasma-based tunnel FET is proposed by employing dual material gate with hetero gate dielectric technique and it is named hetero-dielectric dual material gate doping-less TFET（HD_DMG_DLTFET）. It is compared with conventional doping-less TFET（DLTFET） and dual material gate doping-less TFET（DMG_DLTFET） on the basis of analog and rF performance. The HD_DMG_DLTFET provides better ON state current（I_（ON） =94 μA/ μm）, I_（ON）/I_（OFF）（≈1.36×10^（13））, point（≈3 mv/dec） and average subthreshold slope（Av-SSD40.40 mv/dec）. The proposed device offers low total gate capacitance（C_（gg）/ along with higher drive current. However, with a better transconductance（g_m） and cut-off frequency（f_T）, the HD_DMG_DLTFET can be a good candidate for rF circuitry. The early voltage（v_（EA）/ and output conductance（gd/ are also moderate for the proposed device with comparison to other devices and therefore can be a candidate for analog *** all these simulation results and their study, it is observed that HD_DMG_DLTFET has improved analog/rF performance compared to DLTFET and DMG_DLTFET.

Comparative Study of the Silver Nano-/Microstructures Deposited from Aerosol and Fog

A comparative study of the structure and fractal properties of arrays of the silver nano-/micro-particles deposited on the silicon substrate both from the aerosol and fog showed that the form of the silver individual particles and nano-/microstructures greatly depends on the deposition conditions. By passing an aerosol through isopropyl alcohol, the formation of fractal aggregates of the silver nano-/micro-particles both in the air and in alcohol was observed. Deposition of the silver nano-/micro-particles in the atmosphere of the saturated isopropyl alcohol vapours led to formation of fog. Microdroplets of the silver colloidal solution were deposited on the substrate. The further evaporation of alcohol created the silver nano/microstructures in the form of annular layers. It was found that the concerned annular layers contained silver particles of the same shape in the form of a Crescent (or Janus-nano-/microparticles). The nature of discovered effects is discussed.
