Bee dietary preferences,or the floral resources that they consistently collect,likely impact where a species can *** this reason it is likely that bee dietary preferences are dependent upon the composition of the plant *** this study,we evaluated floral visits and pollen loads of the mining bee,Andrena angustitarsata Viereck,across a 630 km north-south range to understand dietary preferences along a floral resource *** research,in a more geographically limited area,suggested this species was an eclectic oligolege on predominantly Apiaceae and in part *** the present study we found the species predominately visited and collected pollen from Apiaceae and Rosaceae,but visited 12 flower families and collected pollen from 32,distinguishing them as generalist *** frequency of Apiaceae pollen on the bees and the species-level specialization index(a measure of visit specialization)were higher in regions with higher Apiaceae *** addition Apiaceae and Rosaceae were the only plant families significantly preferred for pollen collection,regardless of floral *** conclude that across our study region *** has a generalist dietary breadth,but also has dietary preference for Apiaceae and *** study indicates that while bees may overall make generalist foraging decisions they may still prefer and likely benefit from selecting fewer flower taxa.

Background Hypertension(HtN)involves genetic variability in the renin-angiotensin system and influences antihypertensive *** previously reported that angiotensinogen(AGt)messenger RNA(mRNA)is endogenously bound by miR-122-5p and rs699 A>G decreases reporter mRNA in the microRNA functional-assay *** AGt promoter variant rs5051 C>t is in linkage disequilibrium(LD)with rs699 A>G and increases AGt *** independent effect of these variants is understudied due to their LD therefore we aimed to test the hypothesis that increased AGt by rs5051 C>t counterbalances AGt decreased by rs699 A>G,and when these variants occur independently,it translates to HtN-related *** We used in silico,in vitro,in vivo,and retrospective models to test this *** In silico,rs699 A>G is predicted to increase miR-122-5p binding affinity by 3%.Mir-eCLIP results show rs699 is 40–45 nucleotides from the strongest microRNA-binding site in the AGt ***,rs699 A>G increases AGt mRNA in an AGt-plasmid-cDNA HepG2 expression ***-tissue Expression(GtEx)and UK Biobank analyses demonstrate liver AGt expression and HtN phenotypes are not different when rs699 A>G occurs independently from rs5051 C>***,GtEx and the in vitro experiments suggest rs699 A>G confers cell-type-specific effects on AGt mRNA abundance,and suggest paracrine renal renin-angiotensin-system perturbations could mediate the rs699 A>G associations with *** We found that rs5051 C>t and rs699 A>G significantly associate with systolic blood pressure in Black participants in the UK Biobank,demonstrating a fourfold larger effect than in White *** studies are warranted to determine if altered antihypertensive response in Black individuals might be due to rs5051 C>t or rs699 A>*** like this will help clinicians move beyond the use of race as a surrogate for genotype.

目的:检验教师主观幸福感量表(teacher Subjective Well-being Questionnaire,tSWQ)中文修订版信度、效度及其跨教师性别、跨任教学段的测量等值性。方法:应用中文版tSWQ对来自全国9省份56所中学的1463名教师进行测量,以中小学教师职业倦怠量表和特拉华校园氛围量表-教工卷为效标工具,一个月后随机抽取55名教师进行重测。结果:(1)验证性因素分析结果支持一阶二因子模型。(2)中文版tSWQ总分与教师校园氛围感知、个人成就感显著正相关(r=0.465,PtSWQ总量表的Cronbach’sα系数为0.898,四周后的重测信度为0.813。(4)多组验证性因素分析结果显示,中文版tSWQ跨性别和跨任教学段的测量等值性假设成立。(5)在教师主观幸福感量表的教学效能感维度存在显著性别差异,男教师教学效能感优于女教师。结论:中文版tSWQ信度与效度良好,可在不同教师性别、任教学段之间进行跨组比较,是研究我国教师主观幸福感的可靠工具。

Despite the recognition of two-dimensional(2D)systems as emerging and scalable host materials of single-photon emitters or spin qubits,the uncontrolled,and undetermined chemical nature of these quantum defects has been a roadblock to further *** the design of extrinsic defects can circumvent these persistent issues and provide an ultimate ***,we established a complete theoretical framework to accurately and systematically design quantum defects in wide-bandgap 2D *** this approach,essential static and dynamical properties are equally considered for spin qubit *** particular,many-body interactions such as defect–exciton couplings are vital for describing excited state properties of defects in ultrathin 2D ***,nonradiative processes such as phonon-assisted decay and intersystem crossing rates require careful evaluation,which competes together with radiative *** a thorough screening of defects based on firstprinciples calculations,we identify promising single-photon emitters such as SiVV and spin qubits such as tiVV and MoVV in hexagonal boron *** work provided a complete first-principles theoretical framework for defect design in 2D materials.

Microbial electrosynthesis(MES)enables the bioproduction of multicarbon compounds from CO_(2)using electricity as the *** high salinity can improve the energetic performance of bioelectrochemical systems,acetogenic processes under elevated salinity are poorly *** MES under 35e60 g L^(-1)salinity was *** production in two-chamber MES systems at 35 g L^(-1)salinity(seawater composition)gradually decreased within 60 days,both under-1.2 V cathode potential(***/AgCl)and^(-1).56 A m^(-2)reductive *** precipitation on cathodes(mostly CaCO3)likely declined the production through inhibiting CO_(2)supply,the direct electrode contact for acetogens and H2 *** decreasing Ca2t and Mg2t levels in three-chamber reactors,acetate was stably produced over 137 days along with a low cathode apparent resistance at 1.9±0.6 mU m^(2)and an average production rate at 3.80±0.21 g m^(-2)d^(-1).Increasing the salinity step-wise from 35 to 60 g L^(-1)gave the most efficient acetate production at 40 g L^(-1)salinity with average rates of acetate production and CO_(2)consumption at 4.56±3.09 and 7.02±4.75 g m^(-2)d^(-1),*** instantaneous coulombic efficiency for VFA averaged 55.1±31.4%.Acetate production dropped at higher salinity likely due to the inhibited CO_(2)dissolution and acetogenic *** up to 78%was enriched on cathodes as the main acetogen at 35 g L^(-1).Under high-salinity selection,96.5%Acetobacterium dominated on the cathode along with 34.0%Sphaerochaeta in *** research provides a first proof of concept that MES starting from CO_(2)reduction can be achieved at elevated salinity.

the development of multilayer network techniques is a boon for researchers who wish to understand how different interaction layers might influence each other,and how these in turn might influence group ***,we investigate how integration between male and female grooming and aggression interaction networks influences male power trajectories in vervet monkeys Chlorocebus *** previous analyses of this phenomenon used a monolayer approach,and our aim here is to extend these analyses using a dynamic multilayer *** do so,we constructed a temporal series of male and female interaction *** then used a multivariate multilevel autoregression model to compare cross-lagged associations between a male's centrality in the female grooming layer and changes in male Elo *** results confirmed our original findings:changes in male centrality within the female grooming network were weakly but positively tied to changes in their Elo ***,the multilayer network approach offered additional insights into this social process,identifying how changes in a male's centrality cascade through the other network *** dynamic view indicates that the changes in Elo ratings are likely to be short-lived,but that male centrality within the female network had a much stronger impact throughout the multilayer network as a whole,especially on reducing intermale aggression(i.e.,aggression directed by males toward other males).We suggest that multilayer social network approaches can take advantage of increased amounts of social data that are more commonly collected these days,using a variety of *** data are inherently multilevel and multilayered,and thus offer the ability to quantify more precisely the dynamics of animal social behaviors.
