The study of the propagation of infectious diseases in urban centers finds a close connection with their population's social characteristics and *** work performs a spatial analysis of dengue cases in urban centers based on the basic reproduction numbers,r0,and incidence by planning areas(PAs),as well as their correlations with the Human Development Index(HDI)and the number of *** analyzed dengue epidemics in 2002 at two Brazilian urban centers,Belo Horizonte(BH)and rio de Janeiro(rJ),using PAs as spatial *** results reveal heterogeneous spatial scenarios for both cities,with very weak correlations between r0 and both the number of trips and the HDI;in BH,the values of r0 show a less spatial heterogeneous pattern than in *** BH,there are moderate correlations between incidence and both the number of trips and the HDI;meanwhile,they weakly correlate for ***,the absence of strong correlations between the considered measures indicates that the transmission process should be treated considering the city as a whole.

The Antarctic Paleogene marine fossil record has been the key to reconstructing the evolution of the Weddellian Sea and final dismemberment of Southern *** this context,Eocene marine vertebrates from Seymour(Marambio)Island have provided valuable *** present the first Eocene record of marine reptiles from the southern Atlantic coast of South *** corresponds to several postcranial turtle remains represented by a proximal end of the right humerus,three caudal and one thoracic vertebrae,a fragment of the left pubis,and ten ossicles of the dorsal carapace,coming from the Leticia Formation(late-mid Eocene)at cabo Tiburones,Tierra del Fuego,*** materials show severalfeatures such as the size and general morphology of the humerus and vertebrae,and the presence of relatively small,irregular,smooth,and unkeeled ossicles,which allow us to assign them to Dermochelyidae *** are a cosmopolitan group ofcryptodiran turtles,registered from the late cretaceous up to the recent,with some physiological-biological peculiarities(e.g.,endothermy and an exclusive jellyfish-based diet)and characterized by the presence of an osseous carapace formed by *** new finding from the Leticia Formation is an addition to the scarce and extremely fragmentary record of Eocene dermochelyids from the southern seas like those from the La Meseta and Submeseta formations(Antarctica)and the Waihao and Burnside formations(New Zealand).This new information allows us to discuss the presence of these turtles in such high latitudes in the past and its implication in the evolution of the Weddellian fauna.

In this study, we analyse the climate variability in the Upper Benue basin and assess its potential impact on the hydrology regime under two different greenhouse gas emission scenarios. The hydrological regime of the basin is more vulnerable to climate variability, especially precipitation and temperature. observed hydroclimatic data (1950-2015) was analysed using a statistical approach. The potential impact of future climate change on the hydrological regime is quantified using the Gr2M model and two climate models: HadGEM2-ES and MIroc5 from cMIP5 under rcP 4.5 and rcP 8.5 greenhouse gas emission scenarios. The main result shows that precipitation varies significantly according to the geographical location and time in the Upper Benue basin. The trend analysis of climatic parameters shows a decrease in annual average precipitation across the study area at a rate of -0.568 mm/year which represents about 37 mm/year over the time 1950-2015 compared to the 1961-1990 reference period. An increase of 0.7°c in mean temperature and 14% of PET are also observed according to the same reference period. The two climate models predict a warming of the basin of about 2°c for both rcP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios and an increase in precipitation between 1% and 10% between 2015 and 2100. Similarly, the average annual flow is projected to increase by about +2% to +10% in the future for both rcP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios between 2015 and 2100. Therefore, it is primordial to develop adaptation and mitigation measures to manage efficiently the availability of water resources.

AIM:To determine the dry eye(DE)rate and its relationship with disease stage in patients with primary ***:A cross-sectional study included 432 patients with primary hypertension(with an equal number of patients in each group:144 in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ hypertension)and 144 healthy subjects as a control *** ocular Surface Disease Index(oSDI)and Schirmer Ⅰ test without anesthetics were conducted on all 576 *** with oSDI scoreschirmer Ⅰ values equal to or under 10 mm were diagnosed with ***:The ratio of DE in hypertension patients was higher than in the control group(41.7%versus 18.8%;Proportion of patients with DE increased gradually according to the hypertension stage:27.1% in stage Ⅰ,40.3% in stage Ⅱ,and 57.6% in stage Ⅲ,Pration of hypertension,plasma urea,creatinine,and high-sensitivity c-reactive protein(crP-hs)levels in hypertension patients with DE were higher than those without DE,Pong duration of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,elevated plasma creatinine,and crP-hs levels were independent factors associated with DE in primary hypertension patients,Pcommon disorder associated with advanced age,a long duration of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,elevated plasma crP-hs,and creatinine levels in patients with primary hypertension.

Turkey has announced its plan to construct a new waterway, canal Istanbul, parallel to the Bosphorus. In this study,the influence of canal Istanbul on salinity distribution in the northern Marmara Sea is investigated using a previously calibrated 3 D hydrodynamic and salinity model. Moreover, the salinity field of the canal and its propagation are examined based on various meteorological cases. Finally, the flow structure of the canal is determined. It is calculated that at the southern end of the canal, mainly unidirectional flow(from the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea)occurs during 68% of the simulation period. A two-layer flow is seen only 28% of the time with a weak lower layer flow, whereas this value decreases to 4% at the north end of the canal. In the southward direction(to the Marmara Sea), velocities higher than 1.5 m/s are rarely observed along the canal. The average surface salinity difference in the northern Marmara Sea due to the construction of the canal is calculated to be smaller than 0.50 ppt. The salinity difference gradually diminishes as water depth increases and after 25 m(from the surface) almost no difference is observed.

在浮式风电的建设中,可能遇到各种不同的土质条件。对于高渗透性的土体,如粗砂,采用吸力安装的风险较大。根据实际工程的需要,文章提出了重力安装式筒形锚。文章利用有限元方法对重力安装式筒形锚固基础的贯入过程和承载特性进行了分析。分析结果显示,在粗砂地基当中,该锚固基础可以通过自身的重量贯入至设计深度。与普通重力锚主要通过锚底摩擦提供抗滑力不同,重力安装式筒形锚在水平荷载作用下为浅层破坏,在破坏过程中可以调动更多的土阻力,从而有效提高了抗滑能力。该锚固基础形式可以提供超过2000 t的水平承载力,接近常规重力锚的2倍,能够满足浮式风电的承载要求。此种锚固基础为我国海上浮式风机系泊锚型的确定提供了更多的选择。
