The soft X-ray Imager(sXI)is part of the scientific payload of the solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(sMILE)*** is a joint science mission between the European space Agency(EsA)and the Chinese Academy of sciences(CAs)and is due for launch in *** is a compact X-ray telescope with a wide field-of-view(FOV)capable of encompassing large portions of Earth’s magnetosphere from the vantage point of the sMILE *** is sensitive to the soft X-rays produced by the solar Wind Charge eXchange(sWCX)process produced when heavy ions of solar wind origin interact with neutral particles in Earth’s *** provides a mechanism for boundary detection within the magnetosphere,such as the position of Earth’s magnetopause,because the solar wind heavy ions have a very low density in regions of closed magnetic field *** sensitivity of the sXI is such that it can potentially track movements of the magnetopause on timescales of a few minutes and the orbit of sMILE will enable such movements to be tracked for segments lasting many *** is led by the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom(UK)with collaborating organisations on hardware,software and science support within the UK,Europe,China and the United states.

Influence of Carrier Gas on Analysis of MgO Powders by Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass spectrometry

Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry （LA-ICP-Ms） has been widely adopted for the direct multi-elemental analysis with high sensitivity. Especially analysis of fine ceramics by LA-ICP-Ms without time-consuming sample decomposition process has been one of the most expecting application field. small additive elements in MgO powders were analyzed by LA-ICP-Ms. For precise and accurate analysis influence of carrier gas （Ar or He） was presented by the signal intensities of ICP-Ms, relative standard deviation of signal intensities and ablated particle size distribution. Ablated particles were collected and analyzed by scanning electron microscopy （sEM） to investigate the particle size distribution, and the ablated sample surface was examined by camscope. In He gas atmosphere, the signal was more stable than in Ar gas atmosphere. The signal intensity was higher in Ar than in He. Examination of ablated particles and sample surface reveals that more particles were generated in Ar atmosphere and the distribution of particle size was larger.

Adsorption of proteins to nanoparticles(NPs),a complex process that results in a protein corona,is controlled by NP surface properties that define NP interactions in *** to control adsorbed protein quantity through surface modification have led to improvements in circulation time or ***,current approaches have yet to be identified to control adsorbed protein identities within the ***,we report the development and characterization of diverse zwitterionic peptides(ZIPs)for NP anti-fouling surface functionalization with specific and controllable affinity for protein adsorption profiles defined by ZIP *** serum exposure of ZIP-conjugated NPs and proteomics analysis of the resulting corona,we determined that protein adsorption profiles depend not on the exact composition of the ZIPs but on the sequence and order of charges along the sequence(charge motif).These findings pave the way for developing tunable ZIPs to orchestrate specific ZIP-NP protein adsorption profiles as a function of ZIP charge motif to better control cell and tissue specificity and pharmacokinetics and provide new tools for investigating relationships between protein corona and biological ***,overall ZIP diversity enabled by the diversity of amino acids may ameliorate adaptive immune responses.

Impulsive effect on exponential synchronization of neural networks with leakage delay under sampled-data feedback control

We consider the impulsive effect on the exponential synchronization of neural networks with leakage delay under the sampled-data feedback control. We use an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional combined with the input delay approach and some inequality techniques to derive sufficient conditions that ensure the exponential synchronization of the delayed neural network. The conditions are formulated in terms of the leakage delay, the sampling period, and the exponential convergence rate. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the usefulness and the effectiveness of the results.

随着人口老龄化现象以惊人的速度席卷全球,各国都在积极推动健康老龄化和积极老龄化,身体活动不足和久坐行为已严重影响到人们的健康,甚至与全因死亡率和跌倒风险有关。年龄歧视和老龄化焦虑是实现健康老龄化的主要阻碍因素之一,老年人... 详细信息

随着人口老龄化现象以惊人的速度席卷全球,各国都在积极推动健康老龄化和积极老龄化,身体活动不足和久坐行为已严重影响到人们的健康,甚至与全因死亡率和跌倒风险有关。年龄歧视和老龄化焦虑是实现健康老龄化的主要阻碍因素之一,老年人的身心健康问题直接影响到整个社会的健康,是我们面临的重大课题。研究目的:调查中老年群体的BMI、久坐行为、身体活动水平,年龄歧视和老龄化焦虑的现状及其相互间的关联性,为即将步入老年阶段的中老年群体提高晚年幸福感,构建积极健康的老年生活提供基础资料。研究方法:采取随机抽样的方法于2023年在中国s地区选取264名中老年人(男性87名,女性177名)为调查对象。根据性别、BMI(kg/m2)、婚姻状况、吸烟状况、受教育程度、主观健康状况等因素分层对中老年群体的身体活动水平、年龄歧视和老龄化焦虑程度进行问卷测量。身体活动水平分为高强度(VPA)、中强度(MPA)、低强度(LP A),每次至少持续10分钟才记录为有效。数据分析使用sPss 22.0和AMOs 25.0统计软件进行因子分析、t检验、Pearson's r、方差分析(ANOVA)和路径分析。研究结果:结果表明,61.8%的中老年群体的BMI值高于正常数值范围;中老年群体的久坐行为、身体活动水平的调查结果显示,男性的久坐行为、VPA、MPA均高于女性的水平;中老年群体的BMI与VPA呈负相关关系(r=-.148, p=.016),BMI与MPA呈负相关关系(r=-.164, p=.008),久坐行为与LPA成负相关关系(r=-.135, p=.028);中老年群体的年龄歧视与老龄化焦虑呈正相关关系(r=.539,p=.000)。结论:VPA和MPA不同程度会影响中老年群体的BMI指数,适当增加身体活动量,减少久坐行为,能有效降低老年人的BMI指数。为改善老龄化社会结构中的老龄化焦虑,实现健康老龄化,不仅需要社会结构层面的努力,还需要减少社会群体中的年龄歧视,提高个体对健康老龄化的再认识,促使中老年人为今后步入健康老年生活做好充分准备。

EMMs drag model for simulating a gas-solid fluidized bed of geldart B particles: Effect of bed model parameters and polydisperity

The energy minimization multi-scale(EMMs)is a heterogeneous drag model widely used to simulate gas-solid fluidized *** this work,we conducted computational fluid dynamics simulations of a gas-solid fluidized bed for Geldart B particles to compare the EMMs with the homogeneous Gidaspow drag *** results from both the homogeneous and heterogeneous drag models were compared with literature experimental data on pressure drop and bed *** was no noticeable difference in predicted bed characteristics in the slugging ***,in the turbulent regime,the EMMs model predicted slightly lower bed expansion than did the Gidaspow *** evaluated the effects of solid-solid and solid-wall interaction parameters by varying the restitution and specularity *** expansion increases by a factor of 1.05-1.08 when the restitution coefficient increases from 0.9 to *** models predict a higher solid volume fraction and higher solid downflow velocity near the wall for a low specularity coefficient of 0.01 or *** we considered solid phases of different sizes to model polydisperity,the simulation predicted vertical segregation of 300,350,and 400μm in the fluidized region due to ***,the drag models made similar predictions in bad characteristics from cold model simulation ofa polysilicon fluidized-bed reactor,although there was very little vertical segregation of solid particles for this case.

Enhanced thermoelectric performance of spark plasma sintered p-type Ca_(3-x)Y_(x)Co_(4)O_(9+δ)systems

Highly textured dense Ca3-xYxCo4 O9+δ(0≤x≤0.3)samples were fabricated by combining sol-gel process with spark plasma sintering(sPs).Y^3+substitution for Ca^2+simultaneously increased the seebeck coefficient and reduced the thermal *** latter was attributed to the increase in lattice anharmonicity,structural distortion,and grain boundary area,which enhanced the phonon ***2.7Y0.3Co4 O9+δshowed the largest dimensionless figure-of-merit(ZT=0.194)at 1073 K because it had the largest seebeck coefficient and the lowest thermal *** ZT value was 55%larger than that of undoped Ca3 Co4 O9(0.125 at 1073 K).Therefore,Y^3+substitution,sol-gel powder synthesis,and sPs are highly effective for enhancing the thermoelectric prope rties of Ca_(3)Co_(4)O_(9).

Core-shell-type bimetallic oxide and carbon composites comprising zinc oxide(ZnO)nanospheres and zinc manganese oxide(ZnMn_(2)O_(4))nanowires were produced by a hydrothermal method,and supersoni-cally sprayed together with reduced graphene oxide(rGO)nanosheets onto Ni foil to fabricate flexible *** supersonic impact facilitated the exfoliation of the rGO nanosheets,thereby increasing the surface area and adhesion of the composite particles to the *** rGO nanosheets were vertically aligned during the supersonic impact and formed localized zones,enabling optimal accommodation of the ZnO/ZnMn_(2)O_(4)*** localization,with the addition of rGO,reduced the agglomeration of ZnO/ZnMn_(2)O_(4)*** molar concentration of MnsO_(4)used in the synthesis of ZnO/ZnMn_(2)O_(4)was varied from 0.05 to 0.15 mol/L to determine the optimal MnsO_(4)concentration that would result in the highest energy storage *** unique nanostructure of ZnO/ZnMn_(2)O_(4)and the self-alignment of rGO sheets facilitated a favorable environment for high energy storage capability with a specific capaci-tance of 276.3 mF·cm^(−2)at a current density of 0.5 mA·cm^(−2)and an energy density of 98.2μWh·cm^(−2)at a power density of 1600μW·cm^(−2).The width of the potential window was increased to 1.2 V,imply-ing a significant increase in the energy storage capability of the *** retention of 88%was achieved after 10,000 charge/discharge cycles for the supercapacitor fabricated using an optimal MnsO_(4)concentration(0.10 mol/L)during the composite synthesis.

Facile dry decoration of graphene oxide sheets with aerosol Ag nanocrystals synthesized from an arc plasma source has been demonstrated using an electrostatic force directed assembly technique at room *** Ag nanocrystal-graphene oxide hybrid structure was characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and selected area *** ripening of Ag nanocrystals on a graphene oxide sheet was studied by consecutive TEM imaging of the same region on a sample after heating in Ar at elevated temperatures of 100°C,200°C,and 300°*** average size of Ag nanocrystals increased and the number density decreased after the annealing *** particular,migration and coalescence of Ag nanocrystals were observed at a temperature as low as 100°C,suggesting a van der Waals interaction between the Ag nanocrystal and the graphene oxide *** availability of affordable graphene-nanocrystal structures and their fundamental properties will open up new opportunities for nanoscience and nanotechnology and accelerate their applications.
