Mechanofluorochromic materials that render sensitive fluorescence color/pattern change upon mechanical stimuli have drawn extensive ***,traditional mechanofluorochromism relies on the chemical transformations of mechanophores,but their types are quite *** remains challenging to develop mechanofluorochromic materials with customized fluorescence color changing ***,a generally applicable strategy is proposed to present a class of double-layer mechanofluorochromic hydrogels based on the facile integration of two different-colored fluorescent *** to the UV transmittance change of top layer under Poisson’s effect,the emission intensity ratio of the upper and lower hydrogels exhibits a strain-dependent change,resulting in a force-triggered overlapping color *** the UV transmittance of top layer and the fluorescence emission of bottom layer can be readily modulated to enrich the variety of ***,the bottom layer is available to be printed by ion inks to fabricate patterned double-layer fluorescent hydrogel,holding great potential to design flexible mechanofluorochromic platforms for smart display and information encryption.

Suppression of Tumorigenicity 2 （ST2） is a member of the interleukin （IL）-1 receptor family The ST2 receptor exists in two isoforms - ST2 ligand （ST2L） and soluble ST2 （sST2）.ST2L is a membrane receptor and sST2 is a trun- cated receptor which is soluble in the blood, allowing it to be detected in serum. IL-33 is a member of the IL-1 family of ligand and is the fimctional ligand of ST2L receptor. It binds to the ST2L, thereby mediating its immune function.

In this paper,an electric system with two dichotomous resistors is *** is shown that thissystem can display two stochastic resonances,which are the amplitude of the periodic response as the functions of thetwo dichotomous resistors strengthes *** the limits of Gaussian white noise and shot white noise(i.e.,thetwo noises are both Gaussian white noise or shot white noise),no phenomena of resonance *** further study,we find that when the system is with three or more multiplicative telegraphic noises,there are three or more stochasticresonances.

A single （independent of each other） protein motor system with fluctuating potential barrier and subject to sine electric field is investigated. We first derive the approximate Langevin equation of this system with fluctuating potential barrier. Then from this approximate Langevin equation, we calculate the signal-to-noise ratio （SNR） in the adiabatic limit. The phenomenon of stochastic resonance is found for this protein motor system with fluctuating potential barrier.

Aims Exploring flowering patterns and detecting processes are essential when probing into the nature of reproductive traits during the life history and the interactions among different evolutionary *** patterns are believed to be influenced by many factors,but quantifying these impacts at the community-level remains poorly *** We investigated the flowering patterns based on long-term her-barium records in a given area from subtropical forest regions in southern *** obtained 5258 herbarium voucher specimens collected from the Dinghushan National Nature reserve(DNNr)belonging to 166 families,943 genera and 2059 species and exam-ined the month when each species was flowering during the period *** Findings The results showed that plants flowered sequentially almost through-out the whole year,showing the characteristics of subtropical evergreen broad-leaved *** spectrums of the entire flora and the four life forms exhibited a clear unimodality that is probably typical of subtropical forest *** pat-terns of the DNNr were positively correlated with mean rainfall,mean air temperature and mean sunshine *** flowering dates of the 38 large species-rich families ranged from early april to late august;25 families exhibited significant unimodal distribution patterns,whereas the remaining families were unclear or *** flowering dates of the 10 most species-rich genera ranged from middle may to later *** the results are consist-ent with climatic factors playing a general role in flowering patterns,median flowering dates varied significantly among species-rich families and genera,suggesting that phylogenies could provide spe-cific constraints in subtropical forests.

We present a rare case of invasive liver abscess syndrome due to Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) with metastatic meningitis and septic shock. A previously healthy, 55-year-old female patient developed fever, liver abscess, septic shock, purulent meningitis and metastatic hydrocephalus. Upon admission, the clinical manifestations, laboratory and imaging examinations were compatible with a diagnosis of K. pneumoniae primary liver abscess. Her distal metastasis infection involved meningitis and hydrocephalus, which could flare abruptly and be life threatening. Even with early adequate drainage and antibiotic therapy, the patient’s condition deteriorated and she ultimately died. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of K. pneumoniae invasive liver abscess syndrome with septic meningitis reported in China's Mainland. Our findings reflect the need for a better understanding of the epidemiology, risk factors, complications, comorbid medical conditions and treatment of this disease.

AIM: To compare the gene expression profile in a pair of HBV-infected ***: The gene expression profile was compared in a pair of HBV-infected ***: The twins displayed different disease outcomes. One acquired natural immunity against HBV,whereas the other became a chronic HBV carrier. Eightyeight and forty-six genes were found to be up- or downregulated in their PBMCs, respectively. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha-induced protein 1 (TNF-αIP1) that expressed at a higher level in the HBV-immune twins was identified and four pairs of siblings with HBV immunity by RTPCR. However, upon HBV core antigen stimulation,TNF-αIP1 was downregulated in PBMCs from subjects with immunity, whereas it was slightly upregulated in HBV carriers. Bioinformatics analysis revealed a K+channel tetramerization domain in TNF-αIP1 that shares a significant homology with some human, mouse, and C elegan ***: TNF-αIP1 may play a role in the innate immunity against HBV.
