Enhancing zinc-air battery performance by constructing threedimensional n-doped carbon coating multiple valence Co and MnO heterostructures

Developing highly-efficient bifunctional oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts is crucial for the widespread application of rechargeable Zn-air batteries(ZABs).Herein,an efficiency electrodeposition and pyrolytic strategy to synthesize the three-dimensional(3D)n-doped carbon coating multiple valence Co and MnO heterostructures supported on carbon cloth substrate(Co-MnO@nC/CC).It contains Co-Co,Co-n,and Co-O bonds,which synergistically enhance the oxygen reaction activity with *** exhibits a working potential of 1.473 V at 10 mA·cm^(−2)for OER and onset potential of 0.97 V for *** calculations demonstrate that the synergy between cobalt and manganese species could optimize the d-band center and reduce the energy barrier of Co-MnO@nC/CC for both OER and ORR ***,the MnO acts as the main OER active site could significantly optimize the energy barrier of O*→OOH*,thus further promoting the OER *** can be directly used as the air-cathode for both liquid-state and solid-state ZABs,which could afford a small voltage gap of 0.75 V at 10 mA·cm^(−2),a high power density of 172.5 mW·cm^(−2)and a long-term durability for 400 h,surpassing those of the Pt/C+RuO_(2)-based ***,the assembled batteries show potential applications in portable devices.

Rumen metagenome reveals the mechanism of mitigation methane emissions by unsaturated fatty acid while maintain.n. the performance of dairy cows

Dietary fat content can reduce the methane production of dairy cows; however, the relevance fatty acid (FA) composition has towards this inhibitory effect is debatable. Furthermore, in-depth studies elucidating the effects of unsaturated fatty acids (UFA) on rumen function and the mechanism of reducing methane (CH4) production are lacking. This study exposed 10 Holstein cows with the same parity, similar milk yield to two total mixed rations: low unsaturated FA (LUFA) and high unsaturated FA (HUFA) with similar fat content. The LUFA group mainly added fat powder (C16:0 > 90%), and the HUFA group mainly replaced fat powder with extruded flaxseed. The experiment lasted 26 d, the last 5 d of which, gas exchange in respiratory chambers was conducted to measure gas emissions. We found that an increase in the UFA in diet did not affect milk production (P > 0.05) and could align the profile of milk FAs more closely with modern human.n.tritional requirements. Furthermore, we found that increasing the UFA content in the diet lead to a decrease in the abundance of Methanobrevibacter in the rumen (|linear discrimin.n. analysis [LDA] score| > 2 and P n a decrease in the relative abundance of multiple enzymes (EC:1.***.7.12, EC:2.***.1.101, EC:3.***.4.27, EC:1.***.98.1, EC:1.***.98.2, EC:6.***.1.1, EC:2.***.1.86 and EC:2.***.4.1) during methanogenesis (P nhibited in the HUFA group (|LDA| > 2 and P n (P nism involving decreased CH4 production when fed a UFA diet in dairy cows. In this paper,we consider the semilinear elliptic equation systems{△u+u=αQ_(n)(x)|u|^(α-2)|v|^(β)u in R^(n),-△v+v=βQ(x)|u|^(α)|v|^(β-2)v in R^(n),where n≥3,α,β>1,α+βn.n.2 and Q_(n) are bounded given functions whose self-focusing cores{x∈R^(n)|Q_(n)(x)>0} shrink to a set with finitely many points as n→∞.Motivated by the work of Fang and Wang[13],we use variational methods to study the limiting profile of ground state solutions which are concentrated at one point of the set with finitely many points,and we build the localized concentrated bound state solutions for the above equation systems.

Synergetic Control of Li^(+)Transport Ability and Solid Electrolyte Interphase by Boron-Rich Hexagonal Skeleton Structured All-Solid-State Polymer Electrolyte

High Li^(+)transference number electrolytes have long been understood to provide attractive candidates for realizing uniform deposition of Li^(+).However,such electrolytes with immobilized anions would result in incomplete solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formation on the Li anode because it suffers from the absence of appropriate inorganic compon.n.s entirely derived from anions ***,a boron-rich hexagonal polymer structured all-solid-state polymer electrolyte(BSPE+10%LiBOB)with regulated intermolecular interaction is proposed to trade off a high Li^(+)transference number against stable SEI *** Li^(+)transference number of the as-prepared electrolyte is increased from 0.23 to 0.83 owing to the boron-rich cross-linker(BC)*** intriguingly,for the first time,the experiments combined with theoretical calculation results reveal that BOB^(-)anions have stronger interaction with B atoms in polymer chain than TFSI^(-),which significantly induce the TFSI^(-)decomposition and consequently increase the amount of LiF and Li3n in the SEI ***,a LiFePO_(4)|BSPE+10%LiBOBlLi cell retains 96.7%after 400 cycles while the cell without BC-resisted electrolyte only retains 40.8%.BSPE+10%LiBOB also facilitates stable electrochemical cycling of solid-state Li-S *** study blazes a new trail in controlling the Li^(+)transport ability and SEI properties,synergistically.

BACKGROUnD Liver condition is a crucial prognostic factor for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),but a convenient and comprehensive method to assess liver condition is *** stiffness(LS)measured by two-dimensional shear wave elastography may help in assessing liver fibrosis and liver *** hepatitis B(CHB)is an important risk factor for HCC progression,but LS was found to be less reliable in assessing liver fibrosis following hepatitis viral *** hypothesize that the status of hepatitis virus infection would affect the accuracy of LS in assessing the liver *** To test the feasibility and impact factors of using LS to assess liver condition in patients with HCC and *** A total of 284 patients were retrospectively recruited and classified into two groups on the basis of serum CHB virus hepatitis B virus(HBV)-DnA levels[HBV-DnA≥100.00 IU/mL as Pos group(n=200)andneg group(n=84)].Correlation analyses and receiver operating characteristic analyses were conducted to evaluate the relationship between LS and liver *** A significant correlation was found between LS and most of the parameters considered to have the ability to evaluate liver condition(Pn alan.n. aminotransferase(ALT)concentrations were normal(≤40 U/L),LS was correlated with liver condition indices(Pntify a Child-Pugh score of 5 was higher in the neg group(9.30 kPa)than the Pos group(7.40 kPa).When ALT levels were elevated(>40 U/L),the correlations between LS and liver condition indices were not significant(P>0.05).COnCLUSIOn LS was significantly correlated with most liver condition indices in patients with CHB and ***,these correlations varied according to differences in HBV-DnA and transaminase concentrations.

Transition metal-nitrogen-carbon(M-n-C)as a promising substitute for the conventional noble metalbased catalyst still suffers from low activity and durability for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs).To tackle the issue,herein,a new type of sulfur-doped ironnitrogen-hard carbon(S-Fe-n-HC)n.n.sheets with high activity and durability in acid media were developed by using a newly synthesized precursor of amide-based polymer with Fe ions based on copolymerizing two monomers of 2,5-thiophene dicarboxylic acid(TDA)as S source and 1,8-diamin.n.phthalene(DAn)as n source via an amination *** as-synthesized S-Fe-n-HC features highly dispersed atomic Fe nxmoieties embedded into rich thiophene-S doped hard carbon.n.nosheets filled with highly twisted graphite-like microcrystals,which is distinguished from the majority of M-n-C with soft or graphitic carbon *** unique characteristics endow S-Fe-n-HC with high ORR activity and outstanding durability in 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4).Its initial half-wave potential is 0.80 V and the corresponding loss is only 21 m V after 30,000 ***,its practical PEMFC performance is a maximum power output of 628.0 mW cm^(-2)and a slight power density loss is 83.0 m W cm^(-2)after 200-cycle practical ***,theoretical calculation shows that the activity of Fe nxmoieties on ORR can be further enhanced by sulfur doping at meta-site near Fen_(4)*** results evidently demonstrate that the dual effect of hard carbon substrate and S doping derived from the precursor platform of amid-polymers can effectively enhance the activity and durability of Fe-n-C catalysts,providing a new guidance for developing advanced M-n-C catalysts for ORR.

Modulation of host n6-methyladenosine modification by gut microbiota in colorectal cancer

As a research hotspot in the field of molecular biology,n6-methyladenosine(m6A)modification has made progress in the treatment of colorectal cancer(CRC),leukemia and other *** studies have demonstrated that the tumour microenvironment(TME)regulates the level of m6A modification in the host and activates a series of complex epigenetic signalling pathways through interactions with CRC cells,thus affecting the progression and prognosis of ***,with the diversity in the composition of TME factors,this action is reci-procal and ***,some studies have experimentally revealed that the intestinal flora can alter CRC cell proliferation by directly acting on m6A and thereby altering CRC cell *** review summarizes the data,supporting the idea that the intestinal flora can influence host m6A levels through pathways such as methyl donor metabolism and thus affect the progression of *** also review the role of m6A modification in the diagnosis,treatment,and prognostic assessment of CRC and discuss the current status,limitations,and potential clinical value of m6A modification in this *** propose that additional in-depth research on m6A alterations in CRC patients and their TME-related targeted therapeutic issues will lead to better therapeutic outcomes for CRC patients.

A metabolomics approach for monitoring thermal processing temperature of bovine milk using ultra-performance liquid chromatography tandem Q-Exactive mass spectrometry and multivariate data analysis

Due to the lack of effective assessment method,overheated milk commodities are often marketed as pasteurized milk on the market,which was sold in high price by ***,this article aims to establish an approach based on metabolomics to monitor thermal processing temperature of bovine *** data of bovine milk samples heated at temperatures ranging from 60℃to 150℃were achieved by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry(UPLC-HRMS)platform,followed by multivariate data analysis.A regular variation pattern of chemical composition as temperature rises was pictured,furthermore.n^(∈)carboxymethyl lysine(CML),n^(∈)-carboxyethyl lysine(CEL),*** and lysinoalan.n.(LAL)were identified as 5 of the most contributed compounds to discriminate pasteurized and ultra-high-temperature(UHT)*** the comprehensive study on their content changes,we concluded that the optimal temperature range was 90-100℃for the generation of CML and CEL in this experiment,moreover.110~120℃for LAL.S0~100℃for pentosidine and 130-140℃for ***,a predicted rule to discriminate pasteurized and UHT milk was preliminarily established based on the ratios of CML/***/pentosidine and CML/*** could be applied in food labelling authentication of commercial bovine milk after further validation.

Untargeted metabolomics combined with 16S rRnA sequencing reveals the characteristics of intestinal metabolism and gut microbiota in hazelnut Cor a 14-allergic BALB/c mice

Cor a 14 is one of the most vital allergens in hazelnuts. However， the features of intestinal metabolites and microbiota associated with Cor a 14-induced allergy remain unclear. In this study， we established a hazelnut Cor a 14-allergic BALB/c mice model， which was distinguished by the dropped temperature and enhanced allergic inflammatory factor levels in serum. Faeces were collected to detect characteristics of the intestinal metabolites by untargeted metabolomics and the gut microbiota by 16S rRnA sequencing. The α- and β-diversity of gut microbiota in Cor a 14-allergic mice differed from the controls with elevated relative abundance of Lactobacillus and reduced relative abundances of Odoribacter， Chloroplast， Alistipes and Lachnospiraceae＿nK4A136＿group. Untargeted metabolomics results revealed that 238 significantly differential metabolites (111 up-regulated， 127 down-regulated) were identified， of which， L-tryptophan， histamine and n-acetylhistamine were remarkably accumulated and primarily enriched in the enhanced L-tryptophan and histidine metabolism pathways. Spearman correlation analysis suggested that L-tryptophan was positively correlated with allergic indicators and screened as the potential biomarker for Cor a 14 allergy. Collectively， our findings uncovered the characteristics of intestinal metabolites and gut microbiota during Cor a 14 anaphylaxis and provided new potential insights for diagnosis of hazelnut allergy.

Individualized Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment vs antibiotics for recurrent urinary tract infections: a multicenter, randomized controlled study

OBJECTIVE: To systematically assess the effects of individualized Chinese medicines on recurrent urinary tract infections(rUTIs).METHODS: This study recruited 230 adult female patients in the remission phase of rUTIs from five hospitals in China. The patients were randomly allocated to two groups: an individualized Chinese medicine group(n = 114) and a control group(n = 116). Patients in the Chinese medicine group received individualized Chinese herbs, which were evaluated for syndrome *** in the control group received antibiotic treatment combined with a Chinese medicine placebo. The duration of treatment was three courses of four weeks each, with a three-month subsequent follow-up. UTI recurrence rate,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome scores,36-item Short Form Survey(SF-36) score, and urine secretory immunoglobulin A(SIgA) were measured and analyzed before and after treatment in each group. RESULTS: Patients from the Chinese medicine group exhibited significant decreases in both short-and longterm UTI recurrence rates compared with the control group(P nges in TCM syndrome scores between the Chinese medicine and control groups were significant(P nges in the average SF-36 quality-of-life scores in the Chinese medicine group were also significantly higher than those in the control group after treatment(P nese medicine group also demonstrated a significant increase in urine SIg A expression. COnCLUSIOn: Taken together, compared to the oftenused long-term antimicrobial prophylaxis during the remission stage of r UTIs, treating patients with an individualized Chinese medicine decoction by syndrome differentiation could effectively reduce the recurrence rate, improve the patients' TCM syndrome scores and quality of life, and enhance immunity, which in turn helps to prevent antibiotic resistance.
