In.roduction. Acquired immun.deficien.y syn.rome (AIDS) lin.ed to HIV in.ection.is accompan.ed by auto-immun. phen.men.. Autoimmun. diseases can.develop in.people livin. with HIV, most in.a con.ext of good immun.logical con.rol (vasculitis, an.i-phospholipid syn.rome). Sin.e the adven. of an.iretroviral therapy, an.in.reasin. n.mber of autoimmun. con.ective tissue diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, an. syn.romes of Sj?gren.an. scleroderma have been.reported. Purpose: To describe this association.s n.t very common.scleroderma an. HIV in.ection. Observation. We report the case of a 56-year-old lady admitted in.o the service for fun.tion.l impoten.e that would have been.evolvin. for a week. Prior to her hospitalization. she presen.ed edemas of the lower limbs associated with an.sthesia of the lower limbs for 5 mon.hs. The pain.in. is accompan.ed by a productive cough an. an.in.ermitten. fever. At the physical examin.tion.a weight loss (BMI = 13.74 Kg/m2), fever (38.7°C): Oral can.idiasis, lower lip ulceration. perlickin., un.ern.trition.folds, sclerodactyly an. homogen.ous hepatomegaly was n.ted. The diagn.sis of immun.suppression.to HIV Stage 3 with TB co-morbidity an. positive hepatitis B Serology was retain.d while diffuse Scleroderma was selected from the ACR/EULAR criteria of 2012 with a score of 10 (sclerodactyly = 4 poin.;Rayn.ud’s phen.men.n.= 3 poin. an. Ac An.i Scl 70 positive = 3 poin.). Con.lusion. These association. of chron.c pathology must be described to improve the future treatmen. of our patien.s.

The objective of the study was to describe the difficulties to diagn.se this disease at the Souro San.u Un.versity hospital (CHUSS) in.Bobo-Dioulasso. It in.olved five patien.s comprisin. on. child with homozygous SS sickle cell disease, on. adolescen. screen.d followin. a family in.estigation. an. three adults in.ludin. a man.an. two women. Blood smear stain.d with May Grun.ald Giemsa was performed to look for specific sign. of G6PD-deficien. red blood cell an. brillian. cresyl Blue for Hein. Bodies. A microscope Olympus BX53 equipped with a Camera (XC10) an. con.ected to a computer was used to read blood smears an. capture images. Gen.s sequen.in. by San.er method were performed in.a specialized laboratory in.molecular gen.tics. In.this paper, we an.lyzed diurn.l an. an.ual season.l variation. of solar win. parameters such as in.erplan.tary magn.tic field (IMF), proton.den.ity (n., solar win. speed (V) an. solar win. dyn.mic pressure (Pdym), durin. the solar cycles 23 an. 24. Our study shows that stron. geomagn.tic disturban.es are observed at the equin.xes durin. both solar cycles. The highest proton.den.ities are observed at solstices durin. both solar cycles. The greatest solar win. speeds are observed at the equin.xes of solar cycle 23 an. at the solstices of solar cycle 24. The highest solar win. dyn.mic pressures are observed at the solstices of both solar cycles. We also observed an.asymmetrical evolution.of the season.l diurn.l values of the solar win. parameters durin. the two cycles, except for the proton.den.ity. Our in.estigation. also highlight the fact that the season.l diurn.l values of the solar win. parameters are sign.fican. at solar cycle 23 compared to solar cycle 24 characterized by a global weak in.solar plasma con.ition. sin.e the deep min.mum that followed the solar cycle 23 leadin. to an.absen.e of a persisten. polar coron.l hole. The drop observed in.polar field an. solar win.s parameters durin. solar cycle 24 is reproduced on.season. (solstices an. equin.xes). The solar cycle 23 an. 24 appear to be two magn.tically opposite solar cycles regardless the time scales.

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moen.h) is vitally importan. for food security in.semi-arid West Africa. Characterizin. the in.rogressed lin.s can.help researchers in.the process of varietal improvemen.. The objectives of this study are (i) To learn.if in.rogression.of wild sorghum (CWR) an. high tran.piration.efficien.y (HTE) lin.s in.o a very early maturin. (photoperiod in.en.itive) local lan.-race variety can.create useful variation.for grain.yield in.drought-pron. Sahelian.en.iron.en.s, (ii) To determin. if grain.yield advan.ages (an. putative drought toleran.e traits) obtain.d from in.rogression.of CWR an. HTE germplasm are expressed differen.ly in.moderately to highly moisture-limited en.iron.en.s, an. (iii) To un.erstan. the relation.hip between.putative drought toleran.e traits. This study aimed to assess the level of two germplasms variability of S. rotun.ifolius from Ghan. an. Burkin. Faso for traits related to vegetative developmen., cycle, an. yield. Agromorphological characterization.of 174 accession., in.ludin. 116 from Ghan. an. 58 from Burkin. Faso was carried out in.Ran.omised Complete Block Design.with three replication.. Cowpea is essen.ial in.the diet in.Burkin. Faso. The in.ormation.on.their physical properties an. cookin. quality is importan. for con.umer acceptan.e. This study has therefore been.un.ertaken.in.order to fill the gap. Thus, six cowpea varieties were evaluated for their physical an. cookin. properties. The seeds had between.9% to 12% moisture. For physical proprieties, the result revealed that the variety Makoyin.had the highest seed len.th (9.65 mm), the variety Gourgou recorded the highest seed width (7.08 mm), seed thickn.ss (5.13 mm), an. seed area (153.29 mm2), an. 100-seeds weight (21.1 g). The lowest seed sizes were presen.ed by the variety Teekson.o with values of 7.88 mm, 6.34 mm, 4.88 mm, 122.68 mm2, an. 16.87 g for respectively the len.th, the width, the thickn.ss, the area, an. the 100-seeds weight. The variety Makoyin.produces seed elliptical form an. varieties n.erwaya, Gourgou, Yipoussi an. Issa-sosso, an. Teek-son.o the seeds spherical form. For cookin. proprieties, the highest value of the bulk den.ity of the seeds was presen.ed in.the variety Teek-son. (1.51 g/ml). The highest hydration.an. swellin. capacity were observed in.varieties Gourgou (0.22 g/seed an. 0.24 ml/seed respectively) an. Yipoussi (0.22 g/seed an. 0.21 ml/seed respectively). The seed with large size, greater hydration. an. swellin. capacity is preferred by con.umers an. processors for food products. Varieties Makoyin. n.erwaya, Gourgou, Yipoussi, an. Issa-sosso presen.ed cookin. time of un.oaked seeds equal to on. hour (from 60 to 68 min. excepted Teek-son.o which had 46 min. These cookin. times are acceptable for con.umers. Seed len.th, surface area, thickn.ss, the weight of seeds, hydration.capacity, an. cookin. time have been.the most discrimin.tin. amon. the cowpea varieties studied.

Voan.zou is a seed legume cultivated in.Burkin. Faso with sign.fican. n.trition.l poten.ial. The objective of this study was to assess the gen.tic diversity of Bambara n.t cultivated in.Burkin. Faso usin. microsatellite markers. For the study, fifteen.SSRs markers were used for molecular characterization.of 90 Bambara n.t lan.races from three agro-climatic zon.s of Burkin. Faso. All markers were 100% polymorphic with an.average value of 4.81 for effective alleles. The polymorphism in.ormation.con.en. (PIC) ran.ed from 0.654 to 0.867 with a mean.of 0.775. Den.rogram classified the accession. in.four mixed groups in.epen.en.ly of the three agro-climatic zon.s. This distribution.is con.isten. with the results on.the agro-morphological characterization.of the same lan.races. This in.ormation.was served as a basic model for breedin. an. con.ervation.programs of V. subterran.a in.Burkin. Faso.

In.Burkin. Faso, sweet grain.sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moen.h] is gen.rally cultivated in.association.with several other types of sorghum. However, the lack of in.ormation.on.the gen.tic relation.hip between.this sorghum an. grain.sorghum as well as sweet stalk sorghum hin.ers the efficien. man.gemen. of its gen.tic resources. Thus, 34 sorghum accession. con.istin. of 14-grain.sorghum, 10-sweet stalk sorghum, an. 10 sweet grain.sorghum were evaluated usin. 15 n.clear microsatellites markers (SSRs) to determin. their gen.tic relation.hip. Results revealed sign.fican. gen.tic diversity within.each sorghum type an. a sign.fican. in.ex of gen.tic differen.iation.per pair of sorghum types (0.017) between.sweet grain.sorghum an. sweet stalk sorghum. The min.mum n.i distan.e was also high (0.12) between.these two sorghum types. Sweet grain.sorghum in.eed showed the lowest values of theoretical heterozygosity (0.35), of observed heterozygosity (0.13). Structurin. of the accession. of the three types of sorghum cultivated in.two distin.t groups, on. of grain.sorghum an. sweet stalk sorghum an. an.ther con.istin. of accession. of grain.sorghum an. sweet grain.sorghum was also obtain.d. The low differen.iation.observed would suggest greater gen.tic proximity between.the three types of sorghum. The differen.es observed would be more of a physiological an. biochemical n.ture. These results could con.ribute to better man.gemen. of the gen.tic resources of sweet grain.sorghum.

In.this work, the comparative study of total electron.con.en. (TEC) between.recurren. an. quiet geomagn.tic periods of solar cycle 24 at Koudougou station.with geographical coordin.tes 12°15'n.- 2°20'E was addressed. This study aims to an.lyze how geomagn.tic variation. in.luen.e the behavior of TEC in.this specific region. The geomagn.tic in.ices Kp an. Dst were used to select quiet an. recurren. days. Statistical an.lysis was used to in.erpret the graphs. The results show that the mean.diurn.l TEC has a min.mum before dawn.(aroun. 0500 UT) an. reaches a maximum value aroun. 1400 UT, progressively decreasin. after sun.et. In.comparison. the average diurn.l TEC on.recurren. days is slightly higher than.on.quiet days, with an.average differen.e of 7 TECU. This differen.e in.reases with the level of geomagn.tic disturban.e, reachin. 21 TECU durin. a moderate storm. The study also reveals sign.fican. mon.hly variation., with March an.
