Fibers are increasingly in demand for a wide range of polymer composite *** study^purpose was the development of oil palm fiber(OPF)mixed with the thermoplastic material acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(abS)as a composite filament for fused deposition modeling(FDM).The mechanical properties of this composite filament were then *** is a fiber extracted from empty fruit bunches,which has proved to be an excellent raw material for *** cellulose content of OPF is 43%-65%,and the lignin content is 13%-25%.The composite lilament consists of OPF(5%,mass fraction)in the abS *** fabrication procedure included alkalinizing,drying,and crushing the OPF to develop the *** OPF/abS materials were prepared and completely blended to acquire a mix of 250 g of the material for the ***,the FLD25 filament extrusion machine was used to form the OPF/abS composite into a *** composite filament then was used in an FDM-based 3D printer to print the ***,the printed specimens were tested for mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural *** results show that the presence of OPF had increased the tensile strength and modulus elasticity by approximately 1.9%and 1.05%,***,the flexural strength of the OPF/abS composite had decreased by 90.6%compared with the virgin ***,the most significant outcome of the OPF/abS composite was its suitability for printing using the FDM method.

An Improved Hybrid Indoor Positioning Algorithm via QPSO and MLP Signal Weighting

Accurate location or positioning of people and self-driven devices in large indoor environments has become an important necessity The application of increasingly automated self-operating moving transportation units,in large indoor spaces demands a precise knowledge of their *** like WiFi and Bluetooth,despite their low-cost and availability,are sensitive to signal noise and fading *** these reasons,a hybrid approach,which uses two different signal sources,has proven to be more resilient and accurate for the positioning determination in indoor ***,this paper proposes an improved hybrid technique to implement a fingerprinting based indoor positioning,using Received Signal Strength information from available Wireless Local Area Network access points,together with the Wireless Sensor Networks *** signals were recorded on a regular grid of anchor points,covering the research *** optimization was performed by relative signal weighting,to minimize the average positioning error over the research *** optimization process was conducted using a standard Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization,while the position error estimate for all given sets of weighted signals was performed using aMultilayer Perceptron(MLP)neural *** to our previous research works,the MLP architecture was improved to three hidden layers and its learning parameters were finely *** experimental results led to the 20%reduction of the positioning error when a suitable set of signal weights was calculated in the optimization *** final achieved value of 0.725 m of the location incertitude shows a sensible improvement compared to our previous results.

BACKGROUND Diabetes is known damage the liver and kidney,leading to hepatic dysfunction and kidney *** is believed to help in lowering the blood glucose levels of diabetic patients and reducing diabetic ***,the effect of stingless bee honey(SBH)administration in relieving liver and kidney damage in diabetes has not been *** To investigate the effect of SBH administration on the kidney and liver of streptozotocin-induced(STZ;55 mg/kg)diabetic Sprague Dawley *** The rats were grouped as follows(n=6 per group):non-diabetic(ND),untreated diabetic(UNT),metformin-treated(MET),and SBH+metformin-treated(SBME)*** successful diabetic induction,ND and UNT rats were given normal saline,whereas the treatment groups received SBH(2.0 g/kg and/or metformin(250 mg/kg)for 12 *** biochemical parameters and histological changes using hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)and periodic acid–Schiff(PAS)staining were *** On H&E and PAS staining,the ND group showed normal architecture and cellularity of Bowman’s capsule and tubules,whereas the UNT and MET groups had an increased glomerular cellularity and thickened basement *** SBH-treated group showed a decrease in hydropic changes and mild cellularity of the glomerulus vs the ND group based on H&E staining,but the two were similar on PAS ***,the SBME-treated group had an increase in cellularity of the glomerulus on H&E staining,but it was comparable to the SBH and ND groups on PAS *** diabetic rats had tubular hydropic tubules,which were smaller than other *** fatty vacuole formation and dilated blood sinusoids in liver tissue were seen in the SBH ***,the UNT group had high glucose levels,which subsequently increased MDA levels,ultimately leading to liver *** treatment reduced this damage,as evidenced by having the lowest fasting glucose,serum alanine transaminase,aspartate transaminase,and alkaline phosphatase l

In recent years, zinc oxide nanoparticles(ZnO NPs) have gained tremendous attention attributed to their unique properties. Notably, evidence has shown that zinc is an important nutrient in living organisms. As such, both prokaryotes and eukaryotes including bacteria, fungi and yeast are exploited for the synthesis of ZnO NPs by using microbial cells or enzyme, protein and other biomolecules compounds in either an intracellular or extracellular route. ZnO NPs exhibit antimicrobial properties, however, the properties of nanoparticles(NPs) are depended upon on their size and shape, which make them specific for various applications. Nevertheless, the desired size and shape of NPs can be obtained through the optimization process of microbes mediated synthesis by manipulating their reaction conditions. It should be noted that ZnO NPs are synthesized by various chemical and physical ***, these methods are expensive and not environmentally friendly. On that account, the microbes mediated synthesis of ZnO NPs have rapidly evolved recently where the microbes are cleaner, eco-friendly, nontoxic and biocompatible as the alternatives to chemical and physical practices. Moreover, zinc in the form of NPs is more effective than their bulk counterparts and thus, they have been explored for many potential applications including in animals industry. Notably, with the advent of multi-drug resistant strains, ZnO NPs have emerged as the potential antimicrobial agents. This is mainly due to their superior properties in combating a broad spectrum of pathogens. Moreover, zinc is known as an essential trace element for most of the biological function in the animal’s body. As such, the applications of ZnO NPs have been reported to significantly enhance the health and production of the farm animals. Piwi-interacting Ribonucleic acids(piRNAs)molecule is a wellknown subclass of small non-codingRNAmolecules that are mainly responsible for maintaining genome integrity,regulating gene expression,and germline stem cell maintenance by suppressing transposon *** piRNAs molecule can be used for the diagnosis of multiple tumor types and drug *** to the vital roles of the piRNA in computational biology,the identification of piRNAs has become an important area of research in computational *** paper proposes a two-layer predictor to improve the prediction of piRNAs and their function using deep learning *** proposed model applies various feature extraction methods to consider both structure information and physicochemical properties of the biological sequences during the feature extraction *** outcome of the proposed model is extensively evaluated using the k-fold cross-validation *** evaluation result shows that the proposed predictor performed better than the existing models with accuracy improvement of 7.59%and 2.81%at layer I and layer II *** is anticipated that the proposed model could be a beneficial tool for cancer diagnosis and precision medicine.

Relationship between Parent-Child Attachment and Problem Behaviors among Chinese Firstborn Children in Family Transitions: A Meta-Analysis

The implementation of China’s three-child fertility policy has led to a notable increase in multiple-child ***,ﬁrstborn children experience a signiﬁcant transition from being an only child to a non-only *** transition is associated with problematic behaviors,affecting their social adjustment,sibling relationships,and family *** several studies have examined the relationship between parent-child attachment and problem behaviors exhibited byﬁrstborn children during family transitions,theﬁndings have been ***,a meta-analytic study was undertaken to elucidate the inconsistencies in this relationship and explore the moderating factors that may contribute to these *** a systematic literature retrieval and screening method,12 effect sizes were derived from the 10 eligible articles,encompassing a sample size of *** meta-analysis demonstrated a low negative association between parent-child secure attachment and problem behaviors exhibited byﬁrstborn children during family ***,the present study investigates potential moderator factors,such as children’s age and geographic region,to gain a more nuanced understanding of the ***,the establishment of parent-child attachment relationships has the potential to mitigate problem behaviors observed inﬁrst-born children during family *** implications of theseﬁndings indicate that parents can nurture secure attachment bonds with their children by demonstrating sensitive responsiveness,employing positive parenting practices,and fostering emotional *** efforts contribute to the cultivation of secure internal working models and positive behavioral manifestations withinﬁrst-born children,which in turn affect their relationships with siblings.
