Fibers are increasingly in demand for a wide range of polymer composite *** study^purpose was the development of oil palm fiber(OPF)mixed with the thermoplastic material acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(abS)as a composite filament for fused deposition modeling(FDM).The mechanical properties of this composite filament were then *** is a fiber extracted from empty fruit bunches,which has proved to be an excellent raw material for *** cellulose content of OPF is 43%-65%,and the lignin content is 13%-25%.The composite lilament consists of OPF(5%,mass fraction)in the abS *** fabrication procedure included alkalinizing,drying,and crushing the OPF to develop the *** OPF/abS materials were prepared and completely blended to acquire a mix of 250 g of the material for the ***,the FLD25 filament extrusion machine was used to form the OPF/abS composite into a *** composite filament then was used in an FDM-based 3D printer to print the ***,the printed specimens were tested for mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural *** results show that the presence of OPF had increased the tensile strength and modulus elasticity by approximately 1.9%and 1.05%,***,the flexural strength of the OPF/abS composite had decreased by 90.6%compared with the virgin ***,the most significant outcome of the OPF/abS composite was its suitability for printing using the FDM method.

Objective:To address the lack of research on invasive group B Streptococcus(GBS)infections in Malaysia and Southeast Asia through a comprehensive analysis of GBS isolates obtained from ***:Medical records from patients with GBS infection isolated from the sterile site,such as blood and cerebrospinal fluid from 14 July 2019 to 15 December 2020,were reviewed from six major hospitals in Peninsular *** criteria were invasive GBS,sterile sites and non-repeated GBS isolated from the same patients in the same *** isolates were re-identified for GBS and ***:A total of 118 patients were eligible,with a majority of non-pregnant adults(76.3%).Over half of the patients(62.7%)had underlying medical conditions,with diabetes as the most common disease,followed by respiratory disease,renal disease,cardiovascular disease and skin and soft tissue *** most common manifestations were sepsis,followed by soft tissue abscess,diabetic foot ulcer,wet gangrene and *** overall mortality was 7.6%.The most common serotype was serotype桋.Conclusions:Invasive GBS infection among non-pregnant adults showed a rising trend,particularly among diabetic *** study underscores the importance of reducing risk factors and highlights the necessity of developing GBS vaccination as a preventive strategy for both infants and adults.

Microbial synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles and their potential application as an antimicrobial agent and a feed supplement in animal industry: a review

In recent years, zinc oxide nanoparticles(ZnO NPs) have gained tremendous attention attributed to their unique properties. Notably, evidence has shown that zinc is an important nutrient in living organisms. As such, both prokaryotes and eukaryotes including bacteria, fungi and yeast are exploited for the synthesis of ZnO NPs by using microbial cells or enzyme, protein and other biomolecules compounds in either an intracellular or extracellular route. ZnO NPs exhibit antimicrobial properties, however, the properties of nanoparticles(NPs) are depended upon on their size and shape, which make them specific for various applications. Nevertheless, the desired size and shape of NPs can be obtained through the optimization process of microbes mediated synthesis by manipulating their reaction conditions. It should be noted that ZnO NPs are synthesized by various chemical and physical ***, these methods are expensive and not environmentally friendly. On that account, the microbes mediated synthesis of ZnO NPs have rapidly evolved recently where the microbes are cleaner, eco-friendly, nontoxic and biocompatible as the alternatives to chemical and physical practices. Moreover, zinc in the form of NPs is more effective than their bulk counterparts and thus, they have been explored for many potential applications including in animals industry. Notably, with the advent of multi-drug resistant strains, ZnO NPs have emerged as the potential antimicrobial agents. This is mainly due to their superior properties in combating a broad spectrum of pathogens. Moreover, zinc is known as an essential trace element for most of the biological function in the animal’s body. As such, the applications of ZnO NPs have been reported to significantly enhance the health and production of the farm animals. BACKGROUND Heart rate variability(HRV)was shown to be affected by performing religious *** To examine the relationship between the level of Quran(the holy book of Muslims)memorisation and HRV among *** This experimental study included 16 Tahfiz students and 16 non-Tahfiz students(n=32).The HRV was measured in three tasks:Recalling familiar verses,memorising new verses,and recalling the newly memorised verses of the *** analysis was done using these parameters:Standard deviation of N-N(heartbeat peak)interval;low frequency(LF);high frequency(HF)and LF/HF *** There were significant differences between tasks for all parameters(P<0.05).However,between the groups,only the LF/HF ratio had significant differences,with F=5.04,P<*** correlation showed a moderate positive correlation between the number of pages memorised and the LF/HF ratio(r=0.61,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Quran memorisation increased the HRV and our results suggested that this activity could be developed as an effective sympathovagal modulation training activity.

Cervical cancer is a prevalent and deadly cancer that affects women all over the *** affects about 0.5 million women anually and results in over 0.3 million *** of this cancer was previously done manually,which could result in false positives or *** researchers are still contemplating how to detect cervical cancer automatically and how to evaluate Pap smear ***,this paper has reviewed several detection methods from the previous researches that has been done *** paper reviews pre-processing,detection method framework for nucleus detection,and analysis performance of the method *** are four methods based on a reviewed technique from previous studies that have been running through the experimental procedure using Matlab,and the dataset used is established Herlev *** results show that the highest performance assessment metric values obtain from Method 1:Thresholding and Trace region boundaries in a binary image with the values of precision 1.0,sensitivity 98.77%,speciﬁcity 98.76%,accuracy 98.77%and PSNR 25.74%for a single type of ***,the average values of precision were 0.99,sensitivity 90.71%,speciﬁcity 96.55%,accuracy 92.91%and PSNR 16.22%.The experimental results are then compared to the existing methods from previous *** show that the improvement method is able to detect the nucleus of the cell with higher performance assessment *** the other hand,the majority of current approaches can be used with either a single or a large number of cervical cancer smear *** study might persuade other researchers to recognize the value of some of the existing detection techniques and offer a strong approach for developing and implementing new solutions.

An Improved Hybrid Indoor Positioning Algorithm via QPSO and MLP Signal Weighting

Accurate location or positioning of people and self-driven devices in large indoor environments has become an important necessity The application of increasingly automated self-operating moving transportation units,in large indoor spaces demands a precise knowledge of their *** like WiFi and Bluetooth,despite their low-cost and availability,are sensitive to signal noise and fading *** these reasons,a hybrid approach,which uses two different signal sources,has proven to be more resilient and accurate for the positioning determination in indoor ***,this paper proposes an improved hybrid technique to implement a fingerprinting based indoor positioning,using Received Signal Strength information from available Wireless Local Area Network access points,together with the Wireless Sensor Networks *** signals were recorded on a regular grid of anchor points,covering the research *** optimization was performed by relative signal weighting,to minimize the average positioning error over the research *** optimization process was conducted using a standard Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization,while the position error estimate for all given sets of weighted signals was performed using aMultilayer Perceptron(MLP)neural *** to our previous research works,the MLP architecture was improved to three hidden layers and its learning parameters were finely *** experimental results led to the 20%reduction of the positioning error when a suitable set of signal weights was calculated in the optimization *** final achieved value of 0.725 m of the location incertitude shows a sensible improvement compared to our previous results.
