Does gastric stump cancer really differ from primary proximal gastric cancer? A multicentre, propensity score matching-used, retrospective cohort study

BACKGROUND Although the location of proximal cancer of the remnant stomach is the same as that of primary proximal cancer of the stomach,its clinical characteristics and prognosis are still *** To evaluate the clinicopathological features and prognosis factors of gastric stump cancer(GSC)and primary proximal gastric cancer(PGC).METHODS From January,2005 to December,2016,178 patients with GSC and 957 cases with PGC who received surgical treatment were *** in both groups underwent 1:1 propensity score matching analysis,and both clinical and pathological data were systematically collected for statistical *** of RESULTS One hundred and fifty-two pairs were successfully matched after propensity score matching *** the 15 demographic and pathological variables collected,the analysis further revealed that the number of lymph nodes and positive lymph nodes were different prognostic and clinicopathological factors between PGC and *** and multivariate analyses showed that gender,differentiation degree and tumor-node-metastasis stage were independent risk factors for patients with ***,vascular invasion,differentiation degree,depth of infiltration,positive lymph nodes,and tumor-node-metastasis stage were independent risk factors for patients with *** 5-year overall survival and cancer-specific survival of patients with GSC were significantly lower than those in the PGC group,the scores for overall quality of life in the GSC-malignant group were lower than the GSC-benign,and the differences were statistically *** The differences in clinicopathological characteristics between GSC and PGC were clarified,and PGC had a better prognosis than GSC.

Graphite becomes the prevailing electrode material in electrical discharging machining （EDM）*** cutting experiments are carried out to study the characteristics of graphite chip formation *** speed milling experiments are conducted to study tool wear and cutting *** results show that depth of cut has great influence on graphite chip *** removal process of graphite in high speed milling is the mutual result of cutting and grinding process. Graphite is prone to cause severe abrasion wear to coated carbide endmills due to its high abrasiveness *** major patterns of tool wear are flank wear,rake wear,micro-chipping and breakage. Cutting forces can be reduced by adoption of higher cutting speed,moderate feed per tooth,smaller radial and axial depths of cut,and up cutting.

Multifunctional organically modified graphene with super-hydrophobicity

In order to bring graphene materials much closer to real world applications, it is imperative to have simple, efficient and eco-friendly ways to produce processable graphene derivatives. In this study, a hydrophilic low-temperature thermally functionalized graphene and its super-hydrophobic organically modified graphene derivative were fabricated. A unique structural topology was found and some of the oxygen functionalities were retained on the thermally functionalized graphene surfaces, which facilitated the subsequent highly effective organic modification reaction and led to the super-hydrophobic organically modified graphene with multi functional applications in liquid marbles and polymer nanocomposites. The organic modification reaction also restored the graphenic conjugated structure of the thermally functionalized graphene, particularly for organic modifiers having longer alkyl chains, as confirmed by various characteri- zation techniques such as electrical conductivity measurements, ultraviolet/visible spectroscopy and selected area electron diffraction. The free-standing soft liquid marble was fabricated by wrapping a water droplet with the super-hydrophobic organically modified graphene, and showed potential for use as a microreactor. As for the polymer nanocomposites, a strong interfacial adhesion is believed to exist between an organic polymer matrix and the modified graphene because of the organophilic coating formed on the graphene base, which resulted in large improvements in the thermal and mechanical properties of the polymer nanocomposites with the modified graphene, even at very low loading levels. A new avenue has therefore been opened up for large-scale production of processable graphene derivatives with various practicable applications.

A series of catalysts were prepared by using complex sol-gel *** results confirm the effect of different agents on structure and activity of Fe-substituted rare earth hexaaluminate catalyst (LaFeAl11 O19 ) for methane *** catalyst is yielded by complex sol-gel, respectively using three different complex agents (maltose, glucose and citric acid).XRD demonstrated that haxaaluminate is the major phase of catalyst prepared by maltose,while LaAlO3 is the major one of the catalyst by glucose and citric *** the same time, there is a little LaFeO3 and surface areas as well as 29.5 nm particle diameter when the complex agent is ***, T10 ( temperature for 10% conversion of methane) and T100 ( temperature for 100% conversion of methane) for catalyst by glucose is 543 and 758 ℃, which is the best among the three complex agents for methane combustion.

Conjugated polymers have received considerable attentions over the past years due to their large-area potential applications via low-cost solution processing. Improving crystallinity of conjugated polymer molecules in solution-processed thin films is crucial for their efficient charge transport and thus high performance optoelectronic devices. Herein, with diketopyrrolopyrrole-quaterthiophene （PDQT） copo/ymer as an example, it is found that by simply reducing the solution concentration for spincoating meanwhile with the assistance of post-annealing, significantly enhanced film crystallinity with formation of typical single crystalline domains is obtained, which benefits from the enough space for better molecular assembly especially at the semiconductor/dielectric interface. High performance polymer transistors and phototransistors were finally constructed based on the optimal lowconcentration （2 mg/mL） spin-coated PDQT films （～12 nm）, which giving a high charge carrier mobility of 2.28 cm2 V-1 s-1 and a photoresponse on/off ratio of 2.1 ×107 at VG = 0 V under white light irradiation of 6mW/cm2. The results suggest that the bright future of PDQT crystalline films for large-area flexible integrated optoelectronic devices and the application of effective low-concentration processing approach in solution-processed organic electronics with reduced material waste.

The continuous developing features in the design of mechanical product and based on 3D entity model is aimed at, and the extension of the 4-dimensional model with the process of designing, the knowledge described model on the level of semantic understanding and summarizing the designing process and the way of discovering knowledge from multi-information model are studied. On the basis of designing the broad sensed collaborative system, through discussion of the relationship between the implicit knowledge of the users and the designing knowledge as well as commanding all the designing links, taking advantage of the way of concluding and deducting in the concept of the designers, the synthetic knowledge unit formed in the dynamic process from the conception design t9 the last design is schemed out, and the knowledge discovered principle in the dynamic designing process of the mechanical products and the key technology in its implementation under the milieu of network is brought forward.

Microstructure Evolution in 9Cr Martensitic Steel During Long-Term Creep at 650℃

Standardarized creep and rupture strength tests were conducted for commercial T91 martensitic heat-resistant steel at 650℃and corresponding microstructure was characterized by BSED, TEM and EDS. The martensitic microstructure degenerated seriously during creep exposure, including martensitic substructure recovering, carbides coarsening, dissolving and precipitating. EDS analysis shows that the M23C6 carbides in different morphologies have dissimilar compositions. The rod/sheet like M23 C6 particles within the matrix contain more additions, which might precipitate in situ while fine MX particles were re-solving. The high content of silicon in these rod/sheet like M2aC6 carbides is probably related to self diffusion coefficient increasing for the exposed condition at 650 ~C close to Curie temperature To. For those reasons, martensite substructure becomes unstable, and microstructure evolution is accelerated and leads to creep strength deteriorating severely.

Synthesis of tetracycline analogs and their bone affinities

Tetracycline analogs were designed and synthesized and their bone affinities were tested on hydroxyapatite. The results showed that the carbonyl-amide-enol structure in A ring and phenol-ketone structure in BCD ring may be responsible for tetracycline＇s high bone affinity and either A ring or BCD ring has a planar conformation is essential. 2007 Ling Ling Weng.
