Future power systems face several *** of them is the use of high power converters that decouple new energy sources from the AC power *** situation decreases the total system inertia affecting its ability to overcome system frequency *** wind power industry has created several controllers to enable inertial response on wind turbines generators:artificial,emulated,simulated,or synthetic *** paper deals with the issues related to the emulated inertia of wind turbines based on full-converters and their effect on the under-frequency protection schemes during the recovery period after system frequency disturbances *** main contribution of this paper is to demonstrate the recovery period of under-frequency transients in future power systems which integrate wind turbines with emulated inertia capability does not completely avoid the worse scenarios in terms of under-frequency load *** extra power delivered from a wind turbine during frequency disturbances can substantially reduce the rate of frequency *** it provides time for the active governors to respond.

目的在重症监护病房(IntensiveCareUnit,ICU),护土难免会遇到需要限制治疗努力(limiting therapeutie efort,LTE)的患者,尽管多数护士还缺乏为这些临终患者及其家庭提供支持的准备。本综述旨在描述ICU护士在LTE中需要具备的能力。方法对2010年--2023年发表的文献进行综述。系统检索了5个数据库:Medline、Wiley Online Library、SciELO、ScienceDirect和Web of Science。使用关键评估项目工具西班牙语版(Critical Appraisal Skills Programme in Spanish,CASPe)作为评判性阅读工具。使用牛津循证医学中心(Center for Evidence-Based Medicine.,CEBM)评估工具确定证据级别和推荐强度。结果共纳入25篇文献。ICU护士LTE护理的能力包括对患者的直接护理、以家庭为中心的护理以及护士在团队中的作用。该综述确定了3个类别的能力:作为患者、家庭与跨学科团队之间维护者的能力,在LTE方面的决策能力,在患者生命末期治疗和护理干预的能力。结论ICU护士在LTE方面需要具备相应的能力,这对患者的生活质量死亡尊严以及患者家庭应对悲伤的全面支持至关重要。

Unsupervised neural networks such as the Kohonen Self-Organizing Maps （SOM） have been widely used for searching natural clusters in multidimensional and massive data. One example where the data available for analysis can be extremely large is seismic interpretation for hydrocarbon exploration. In order to assist the interpreter in identifying characteristics of interest confined in the seismic data, the authors present a set of data attributes that can be used to train a SOM in such a way that zones of interest can be automatically identified or segmented, reducing time in the interpretation process. The authors show how to associate SOM to 2D color maps to visually identify the clustering structure of the input seismic data, and apply the proposed technique to a 2D synthetic seismic dataset of salt structures.

Immunotherapy encompasses a variety of interventions and techniques with the common goal of eliciting tumor cell destructive immune responses. Colorectal carcinoma often presents as metastatic disease that impedes curative surgery. Novel strategies such as active immunization with dendritic cells (DCs), gene transfer of cytokines into tumor cells or administration of immunostimulatory monoclonal antibodies (such as anti-CD137 or anti-CTLA-4) have been assessed in preclinical studies and are at an early clinical development stage. Importantly, there is accumulating evidence that chemotherapy and immunotherapy can be combined in the treatment of some cases with colorectal cancer, with synergistic potentiation as a result of antigens cross-presented by dendritic cells and/or elimination of competitor or suppressive T lymphocyte populations (regulatory T-cells). However, genetic and epigenetic unstable carcinoma cells frequently evolve mechanisms of immunoevasion that are the result of either loss of antigen presentation, or an active expression of immunosuppressive substances. Some of these actively immunosuppressive mechanisms are inducible by cytokines that signify the arrival of an effector immune response. For example, induction of 2, 3 indoleamine dioxygenase (IDO) by IFNγ in colorectal carcinoma cells. Combinational and balanced strategies fostering antigen presentation, T-cell costimulation and interference with immune regulatory mechanisms will probably take the stage in translational research in the treatment of colorectal carcinoma.

Long-Term Postoperative Perfusion Status in Giant Retinal Tears: A Preliminary Case Report

Background: Information on the long-term perfusion status of patients after successful surgery for giant retinal tear (GRT) macula-off rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) is limited. Purpose: To examine long-term structural, functional, and perfusion outcomes in normal control eyes and eyes treated for different degrees of GRT-associated extensions of RRD. Methods: One emmetropic normal eye (control), one healthy highly myopic eye (control myopic), and three eyes surgically treated for GRT (surgical), were included in the study for a long-term comparison of study outcomes. The surgical eyes were classified based on the degree of GRT-associated RRD extension as follows: one eye with GRT-associated RRD extension ˚one eye with GRT-associated RRD extension between 180˚- 270˚and one eye with GRT-associated RRD extension > 270˚. Structural, functional, and perfusion outcomes were compared with those of the control eyes. Results: All three eyes were phakic and the condition was monocular. The mean age of the patients was 48.67 ± 8.50 years (range, 39 - 55 years). All three eyes had GRT macula-off RRD. The mean preoperative time for GRT surgery was 1.2 weeks. The mean pre- and postoperative best corrected visual acuities (BCVA) were 1.87 logMAR and 0.46 logMAR, respectively. The mean postoperative follow-up period was 19.67 ± 5.69 months. Proliferative vitreoretinopathy resulted in multiple surgeries in one eye (31.5%). Long-term postoperative optical coherence tomography (OCT) showed abnormal retinal thickness, ellipsoid zone disruption, and external limiting membrane line discontinuities in one eye. OCT angiography yielded abnormal perfusion indices in the surgically treated eyes. Conclusions: Our data showed multiple structural alterations in spectral-domain OCT biomarkers. One eye that developed secondary epiretinal membrane (ERM) proliferation showed a significantly improved BCVA after proliferation and internal limiting membrane were removed. P

Numerical stability when integrating plane waves of cubic SchrSdinger equation is thor- oughly analysed for some explicit exponential methods. We center on the following second- order methods： Strang splitting and Lawson method based on a one-parameter family of 2-stage 2nd-order explicit Runge-Kutta methods. Regions of stability are plotted and numerical results are shown which corroborate the theoretical results. Besides, a tech- nique is suggested to avoid the possible numerical instabilities which do not correspond to continuous ones.
