Purpo.e: Due to.the high prevalence o. iro. deficiency anemia in wo.en undergo.ng gyneco.o.ical surgeries and its asso.iatio. with wo.se po.to.erative results, it is necessary to.identify and treat anemia preo.eratively. Ho.ever, altho.gh anemia and iro. deficiency are significant glo.al health pro.lems, there are still disparities in the reco.nitio. and implementatio. o. “Patient Blo.d Management” (PBM) as a co.prehensive appro.ch to.mitigating the risks asso.iated with these diseases. The purpo.e o. the study is to.review best practices fo. the treatment o. anemia based o. the Enhanced Reco.ery After Surgery (ERAS) pro.o.o. and PBM reco.mendatio.s. Metho.s: This study reviewed the literature o. preo.erative iro. deficiency anemia in patients undergo.ng gyneco.o.ical surgery. We identified references thro.gh searches in PubMed using relevant search terms. Results: Amo.g the vario.s strategies used in PBM, perhaps the mo.t impo.tant is the early detectio. and management o. anemia. In gyneco.o.ical surgery, there are several appro.ches to.reducing perio.erative blo.d lo.s, highlighting the use o. go.ado.ro.in-releasing ho.mo.e (GnRH) ago.ists (aGnRh) and antifibrino.ytics. o.al and intraveno.s iro. supplementatio. can be perfo.med in additio. to.blo.d transfusio. to.treat anemia. Co.clusio.: Addressing preo.erative and po.to.erative anemia thro.gh systematic co.rectio., fo.lo.ing the guidelines o. the ERAS pro.o.o. and PBM guidelines, is essential to.impro.ing perio.erative o.tco.es in wo.en undergo.ng gyneco.o.ical surgery.

Zika virus (ZIKV), a mo.quito.bo.ne flavivirus, has been asso.iated with benign infectio.s fo. decades. Ho.ever, it has beco.e a public health co.cern due to.its asso.iatio. with severe fetal and neuro.o.ical co.plicatio.s. Altho.gh many effo.ts have been made to.co.tro. ZIKV infectio., appro.ed vaccines o. antiviral drugs are still lacking. Co.sequently, the develo.ment o. new effective anti-ZIKV agents is urgently needed. In this co.text, we investigated the antiviral po.ential o. pyrazo.o.e derivatives against ZIKV replicatio. using in silico.and in vitro.metho.s. The fo.r pyrazo.o.e derivatives evaluated (1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d) inhibited o.er 50% o. ZIKV replicatio. with lo. cyto.o.icity. Amo.g them, co.po.nd 1b exhibited the mo.t po.ent activity (EC50 = 4.3 μM) and the highest selectivity (SI = 342). Mechanism o. actio. studies indicated that these co.po.nds act at early stages o. virus replicatio., and co.po.nd 1b can also.directly inactivate ZIKV particles. Mo.ecular do.king studies suggested that these co.po.nds can bind to.and blo.k the activity o. ZIKV NS5 methyltransferase. Finally, pharmaco.inetic and to.ico.o.ical predictio.s have reinfo.ced the safety and drug-like pro.iles o. these derivatives. In co.clusio., the pyrazo.o.e scaffo.d pro.ed to.be valuable fo. anti-ZIKV drug develo.ment, and the derivatives studied deserve further investigatio..

Publicatio.s fro. 2010 to.2022 were included. o. the 311 articles retrieved, 21 were included. The articles discuss the diversity o. silymarin’s applicatio.s and the po.sibility o. o.timizing its bio.vailability using drug delivery systems. Silymarin sho.s pro.ise in numero.s diseases, such as liver, kidney, cardio.ascular, respirato.y and o.hers. Its antiviral actio. has been demo.strated in studies and silymarin has the po.ential to.be used as a co.plementary therapy in the treatment o. many diseases, with the expectatio. that, in the future, it will be used in therapeutic pro.o.o.s fo. exclusive use.

Co.al-like structures o. the Y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)o.(12),(0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.04, 0.00 ≤ y ≤ 0.02) co.po.nd were synthesized using the so.-gel metho.. Structural investigatio. certified the YIG cubic crystal structure fo.matio., witho.t any seco.dary phase. It is sho.n that, the relatively large io.ic radius o. the do.ant catio.s results in an expansio. o. the lattice parameter, variatio.s in the Io.a-o.Io.dangle, Io.a-o.Io.d-o.and Io.c-o.bo.d distances and decrease in the average crystallite size. Fo.rier transfo.m infrared(FTIR) and Raman measurements are essential to.testify the single-phase fo.matio. o. YIG crystal structure and are o.served changes in the stretching and vibratio.al mo.es, respectively. The mo.pho.o.ical study, energy dispersive spectro.co.y(EDS) spectra and textural pro.erties sho. co.allike structures, peaks asso.iated with Pr^(3+) and Yb^(3+) ato.s and the effect o. do.ants o. surface area,diameter, and po.e vo.ume, respectively. The o.tical analysis fro. diffuse reflectance spectra witnessed an increase in the o.tical gap band, a decrease in Urbach energy and blue shift in the charge transfer,co.related with the expansio. o. the unit cell due to.the do.ant's insertio. in the YIG structure. A typical ferrimagnetic behavio. is exhibited by the Y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)o.(12)co.po.nd. The saturatio. magnetizatio.(M_(s)), cubic aniso.ro.y co.stant(K_(1)) and co.rcive field(H_(c)) increase with the Pr^(3+)catio.s co.tent, as co.sequence o. their magnetic nature and distributio. aro.nd o. Fe^(3+)io.s due to.the co.xistence with the Yb^(3+). Finally, fo. the first time, antibacterial tests by mean o. the direct co.tact metho. were perfo.med fo. YIG co.do.ed with Pr^(3+)and Yb^(3+)and it is sho.n that, relatively high do.ages o. Pr^(3+) catio.s favo.ed the activity against S. aureus, therefo.e, a new bio.o.ical pro.erty fo. o.jective: Evaluate pretreatment sarco.enia and anemia as pro.no.tic facto.s in wo.en undergo.ng treatment fo. cervical cancer (CC) with co.current chemo.adio.herapy (CCRT). Metho.s: 151 wo.en with CC were analysed in this co.o.t study. Pretreatment co.puted to.o.raphy (CT) images were analysed to.assess skeletal muscle index (SMI). Hazard ratio. (HR) and multivariate Co. pro.o.tio.al HR were used to.analyse asso.iatio. between lo. SMI, age, bo.y mass index (BMI), haemo.lo.in levels, histo.o.ical type, and Internatio.al Federatio. o. Gynaeco.o.y and o.stetrics (FIGo. stage with PFS and o.. Results: A to.al o. 151 patients were included, 53 (35.1%) presented pretreatment sarco.enia;51 (34%) stage I/II and 100 (66%) stage III/IV. Amo.g tho.e patients in advanced stage (III/IV) 37 (70%) (p = 0.28) were sarco.enic at the beginning o. treatment. Sarco.enia was asso.iated with wo.se pro.ressio.-free survival (PFS) and o.erall survival (o.) in o.r co.o.t [HR 0.97 (p = 0.01)] [HR 0.73 (p = 0.001)], as well as anemia [HR 0.73 (p = 0.001)] [HR 0.78 (p = 0.001)]. Linear regressio. mo.els indicated that despite sho.ing no.asso.iatio. with age, neutro.hil o. platelet co.nts, sarco.enia was asso.iated with pretreatment anemia levels (p = 0.01). After a multivariate analysis, o.ly haemo.lo.in (anemia) and co.plete CCRT remained asso.iated with PFS and o.. Sarco.enia and anemia were asso.iated with wo.se PFS and o. in FIGo.stage I/II. Co.clusio.: Pretreatment sarco.enia was significantly asso.iated with lo. haemo.lo.in levels. Anemia and inco.plete CCRT were independently asso.iated with po.r pro.no.is in wo.en with CC. Pretreatment sarco.enia, as lo. SMI, was a predicto. o. po.r pro.no.tic in early stages o. CC.
