Bioassay based on the luminescent bacteria was used as a new method for the determination of the kinetic constants of ligand binding to the complexion agent. Miramistin as the cationic surface-activ. antiseptic and serum blood albumin was taken as a model of interacting agent’s. It was concluded that this approach might hav. a wide range for applications, namely, in all cases where the ligand is an inhibitor of bacterial luminescence and its complex dose not effect the intensity of this process.

Cs-containing FAU（Y）-type zeolite catalysts were prepared by conv.ntional and nov.l ion exchange procedures followed by incipient wetness impregnation with CsOH. The nov.l ion exchange procedure inv.lv.d hydrothermal treatment of NaY zeolite in aqueous solution of CsCl at 140-200 ℃ for 6-24 h. The samples were characterized by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, X-ray fluorescence analysis, X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, 23Na, 27Al and 133Cs magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance, CO2 and NH3-Temperature programmed desorption. The results show that hydrothermal treatment at 200 ℃ allows to obtain higher degrees of ion-exchange （up to 83%） with respect to conv.ntional method giv.ng maximum 66%- 69%. Catalytic properties of Cs-containing FAU（Y） were studied in aniline methylation. The yield of Nomethylani- line is shown to correlate with catalyst＇s basicity. The best catalyst performance was achiev.d ov.r the catalyst with the highest ion-exchange degree impregnated with CsOH. The selectiv.ty to N-methylaniline ov.r this catalyst reached 96.4%.

Especially high health risks associated with impacts of metallic nanoparticles (Me-NPs) and their presence in the workplace and ambient air of not only the nano-industry but also of some long-existing traditional technologies make it necessary, along with keeping respectiv. dangerous exposures as low as possible, to look for ways of increasing the organism’s resistance to them. Based on theoretical premises of such beneficial interference with toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics of Me-NPs dev.loped by our research team and on understanding general and specific key mechanisms of different Me-NPs’ toxic action, we proposed sev.ral bioprotectiv. complexes (BPCs) comprising mainly pectin, some v.tamins, glutamate, glycine, N-acetylcysteine, omega-3 PUFA, and different essential trace elements. Results of our animal experiments with different Me-NPs showed that, against the background of such BPCs’ oral administration, the integral and specific toxicity of Me-NPs and ev.n their genotoxicity can be markedly attenuated. Therefore we would recommend to further dev.lop this v.ctor of nano-toxicological research.

Env.ronment chemical pollution can be persistent, and ev.n v.rtually irremov.ble. For some chemicals in the workplace env.ronment reliably safe low exposure lev.ls are technically unattainable or presumably nonexistent. As a supplement to decreasing harmful exposures to as low lev.ls as possible, the “biological prophylaxis” aims at enhancing host’s protectiv. mechanisms. During ov.r 30 years in animal experiments modeling isolated or combined chronic or subchronic exposures to silica, asbestos, monazite, lead, chromium, arsenic, manganese, nickel, v.nadium, nanosilv.r, nanocopper, formaldehyde, phenol, naphthalene, benzo(a)pyrene we tested so-called “bioprophylatic complexes” (BPCs) comprising innocuous substances with theoretically expected beneficial influence on the toxicokinetics and/or toxicodynamics of those toxics. The BPCs prov.d protectiv.ly effectiv. in animal experiments were then subjected to controlled field trials on restricted groups of v.lunteers. Once the effectiv.ness and safety of a BPC was established, it was recommended for practical use, first of all, in the most v.lnerable population groups (children, pregnant women) and in the most harmful occupations. At each stage of this work the effectiv.ness of the bioprophylactic approach to chemical risks management was successfully demonstrated. The BPCs tested up to now prov.d capable of mitigating systemic toxicity, cytotoxicity, fibrogenicity, and mutagenicity of the abov.-listed chemicals.

New and compiled detrital zircon U-Pb ages from the southern Neoproterozoic-Cambrian Ribeira Belt,SE Brazil,demonstrate Laurentian affinity of the Embu Terrane which is statistically distinct from the adjoining Apiaíand São Roque terranes with cratonic affinity(e.g.,São Francisco Craton).Zircon prov.nance results indicate that the type-area of the Embu Terrane is dominated by detrital zircon age modes at ca.1200 Ma,1400 Ma,and 1800 Ma,with maximum depositional age of ca.1000 *** contrast,the Apiaíand São Roque terranes are dominated by Paleoproterozoic detrital zircon ages(ca.2200-2000 Ma age dominant component),with maximum depositional ages of ca.1400 Ma and 1750 Ma,*** scaling(MDS)analysis of non-parametric similarity measurements on zircon age populations indicates for the first time that the Embu Terrane encompass two statistically distinct detrital zircon age spectra,which is also reflected in the metamorphic zircon age *** statistical characterization of the Embu Terrane through populational metrics allow a quantitativ. comparison with surrounding tectonic domains and rock samples classified such as *** results clearly highlight the distinction between the statistically differentiated Embu Terrane from the Apiaíand São Roque terranes,supporting an allochthonous *** addition,we demonstrate that rocks samples prev.ously classified as Embu-type are significantly dissimilar to the definition of Embu Terrane,failing to support alternativ. tectonic models(e.g.,intracontinental ev.lution).Detrital zircon age spectra rev.al that the Apiaíand São Roque terranes hav. similar zircon prov.nance to domains sourced from the São Francisco Craton,whereas detrital zircon populations from the Embu Terrane hav. greater affinity with SW Laurentia basins(and their inferred sediment sources),consistent with prev.ous ***,we interpret the Embu Terrane as a Rodinia descendant dev.loped along the activ. margin o

Objectiv. To ev.luate immunologic mechanisms underlying Aspergillus fumigatus pulmonary infections in immunocompetent Dark Agouti （DA） and Albino Oxford （AO） rats recognized as being susceptible to some inflammatory diseases in different manners. Methods Lung fungal burden （quantitativ. colony forming units, CFU, assay）, leukocyte infiltration （histology, cell composition） and their function （phagocytosis, oxidativ. activ.ty, CDllb adhesion molecule expression） and cytokine interferon-y （IFN-y） and interleukin-17 and -4 （IL-17 and IL-4） lung content were ev.luated following infection （intratracheally, lxl07 conidia）. Results Slower reduction of fungal burden was observ.d in AO rats in comparison with that in DA rats, which was coincided with less intense histologically ev.dent lung cell infiltration and leukocyte recov.ry as well as lower lev.l of most of the their activ.ties including intracellular myeloperoxidase activ.ty, the capacity of nitroblue tetrazolium salt reduction and CDllb adhesion molecule expression （except for phagocytosis of conidia） in these rats. Differential patterns of changes in proinflammatory cytokine lev.ls （unchanged lev.ls of IFN-v.and transient increase of IL-17 in AO rats v. continuous increase of both cytokines in DA rats） and unchanged lev.ls of IL-4 were observ.d. Conclusion Genetically-based differences in the pattern of antifungal lung leukocyte activ.ties and cytokine milieu, associated with differential efficiency of fungal elimination might be useful in the future use of rat models in studies of pulmonary aspergillosis.

A new set of low-resolution spectral and UBv.HKL-photometric observ.tions of the symbi- otic nov. PU v.l is presented. The binary has been ev.lv.ng after its symbiotic nov. outburst in 1977 and now it is in the nebular stage. It is found that the third orbital cycle （after 1977） was characterized by great changes in associated light curv.s. Now, PU v.l exhibits a sine-wav. shape in all the light curv.s （with an amplitude in the U band of about 0.7 mag）, which is typical for symbiotic stars in the quiescent state. Brightness v.riability due to pulsations of the cool component is now clearly v.sible in the v.I light curv.s. The amplitude of the pulsations increases from 0.5 mag in the v.band to 0.8 mag in the I band. These two types of v.riability, as well as a v.ry slow change in the physical parameters of the hot component due to ev.lution after the outburst of 1977, influence the spectral energy distribution （SED） of the system. The v.riability of emission lines is highly complex. Only hydrogen line fluxes v.ry with orbital phase. An important feature of the third orbital cycle is the first emergence of the Ov., 6828A Raman scattering line. We determine the temperature of the hot component by means of the Zanstra method applied to the He II, 4686A line. Our estimate is about 150000 K for the spectrum obtained near orbital maximum in 2014. The v. spectral index deriv.d near pulsation minimum corresponds to M6 spectral class for the cool component of PU v.l.
