BACKGROUND Contemporary treatment of stageⅡ/Ⅲrectal cancer combines chemotherapy,chemoradiation,and surgery,though the sequence of surgery with neoadjuvant treatments and benefits of minimally-invasive surgery(MIS)is *** To describe patterns of surgical approach for stageⅡ/Ⅲrectal cancer in relation to neoadjuvant *** A retrospective cohort was created using the National Cancer *** outcome was rate of sphincter-sparing surgery after neoadjuvant *** outcomes were surgical approach(open,laparoscopic,or robotic),surgical quality(R0 resection and 12+lymph nodes),and overall *** A total of 38927 patients with clinical stageⅡorⅢrectal adenocarcinoma underwent surgical resection from *** stageⅡpatients had neoadjuvant chemoradiation less frequently compared to stageⅢ(75.8%vs 84.7%,Plar rates of total neoadjuvant therapy(TNT)(27.0%vs 27.2%,P=0.697).Overall rates of total mesorectal excision without sphincter preservation were similar between clinical stageⅡandⅢ(30.0%vs 30.3%)and similar if preoperative treatment was chemoradiation(31.3%)or TNT(30.2%).Over the study period,proportion of cases approached laparoscopically increased from 24.9%to 32.5%and robotically 5.6%to 30.7%(Pl for MIS approaches compared to open surgery(laparoscopy HR 0.85,95%CI 0.78-0.93,and robotic HR 0.82,95%CI 0.73-0.92).CONClUSION Sphincter preservation rates are similar across stageⅡandⅢrectal cancer,regardless of delivery of preoperative chemotherapy,chemoradiation,or *** a national level,there is a shift to predominantly MIS approaches for rectal cancer,regardless of whether sphincter sparing procedure is performed.

Ultrathin,lightweight,and flexible aligned single-walled carbon nanotube(SWCNT)films are fabricated by a facile,environmentally friendly,and scalable printing *** aligned pattern and outstanding intrinsic properties render“metal-like”thermal conductivity of the SWCNT films,as well as excellent mechanical strength,flexibility,and ***,the aligned cellular microstructure promotes the electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding ability of the SWCNTs,leading to excellent shielding effectiveness(SE)of~39 to 90 dB despite a density of only~0.6 g cm^(−3) at thicknesses of merely 1.5-24μm,*** ultrahigh thickness-specific SE of 25693 dB mm^(−1) and an unprecedented normalized specific SE of 428222 dB cm^(2)g^(−1) are accomplished by the freestanding SWCNT films,significantly surpassing previously reported shielding *** addition to an EMI SE greater than 54 dB in an ultra-broadband frequency range of around 400 GHz,the films demonstrate excellent EMI shielding stability and reliability when subjected to mechanical deformation,chemical(acid/alkali/organic solvent)corrosion,and high-/low-temperature *** novel printed SWCNT films offer significant potential for practical applications in the aerospace,defense,precision components,and smart wearable electronics industries.

Experiments of DSAEf_lTP Model with Two Improved Parameters for Accumulated Precipitation of landfalling Tropical Cyclones over Southeast China

The Dynamical-Statistical-Analog Ensemble forecast model for landfalling tropical cyclones(TCs)precipitation(DSAEf_lTP)utilises an operational numerical weather prediction(NWP)model for the forecast track,while the precipitation forecast is obtained by finding analog cyclones,and making a precipitation forecast from an ensemble of the *** study addresses TCs that occurred from 2004 to 2019 in Southeast China with 47 TCs as training samples and 18 TCs for independent forecast *** use four model *** control experiment DSAEf_lTP_1 includes three factors including TC track,landfall season,and TC intensity to determine *** DSAEf_lTP_2,DSAEf_lTP_3,and DSAEf_lTP_4 respectively integrate improved similarity region,improved ensemble method,and improvements in both *** show that the DSAEf_lTP model with new values of similarity region and ensemble method(DSAEf_lTP_4)performs best in the simulation experiment,while the DSAEf_lTP model with new values only of ensemble method(DSAEf_lTP_3)performs best in the forecast *** reason for the difference between simulation(training sample)and forecast(independent sample)may be that the proportion of TC with typical tracks(southeast to northwest movement or landfall over Southeast China)has changed significantly between *** performance is compared with that of three global dynamical models(ECMWf,GRAPES,and GfS)and a regional dynamical model(SMS-WARMS).The DSAEf_lTP model performs better than the dynamical models and tends to produce more false alarms in accumulated forecast precipitation above 250 mm and 100 *** with TCs without heavy precipitation or typical tracks,TCs with these characteristics are better forecasted by the DSAEf_lTP model.

基于偏钒酸铵在磷酸介质中对偶氮二甲酰胺(ADA)氧化靛蓝二磺酸钠褪色反应的催化作用,提出了可视化比色法测定面粉中ADA含量的方法。在试管中依次加入150 mg·l^(−1)偏钒酸铵溶液1.0 ml、0.001 mol·l^(−1)靛蓝二磺酸钠溶液1.1 ml、85%(体积分数)磷酸溶液3.0 ml和样品溶液4.5 ml,于45℃反应35 min。以水为参比,测量溶液在610 nm处的吸光度A;用手机拍摄图片,通过智能手机中的颜色识别器应用程序提取图片的RGB值(红、绿、蓝值)。结果显示:ADA的质量浓度在40.0 mg·l^(−1)以内与吸光度A或R/B值(红、蓝值之比)呈线性关系,检出限(3s/k)分别为0.015,4.518 mg·l^(−1);对空白样品进行加标回收试验,ADA的回收率为94.0%~114%,测定值的相对标准偏差(n=5)为2.3%~6.8%。

Use of signal quality measurements to gain efficiency in the analysis of cDNA microarray data

This research provides a new way to measure error in microarray data in order to improve gene expression analysis. Microarray data contains many sources of error. In order to glean information about mRNA expression levels, the true signal must first be segregated from noise. This research focuses on the variation that can be captured at the spot level in cDNA microarray images. Variation at other levels, due to differences at the array, dye, and block levels, can be corrected for by a variety of existing normalization procedures. Two signal quality estimates that capture the reliability of each spot printed on a microarray are described. A parametric estimate of within-spot vari ance, referred to here as σ^2spot, assumes that pixels follow a normal distribution and are spatially correlated. A non-parametric estimate of error, called the mean square prediction error （MSPE）, assumes that spots of high quality possess pixels that are similar to their neighbors. This paper will provide a framework to use either spot quality measure in downstream analysis, specifically as weights in regression models. Using these spot quality estimates as weights can result in greater efficiency, in a statistical sense, when modeling mi- croarray data.
