Background Macrophytes may modify benthic biodiversity and biogeochemistry via radial oxygen loss from roots. This condition contrasts sediments anoxia, allows roots respiration, and facilitates aerobic microbial communities and processes in the rhizosphere. Simultaneously, the rhizosphere can stimulate anaerobic microorganisms and processes via exudates or by favoring the build-up of electron acceptors as nitrate. As eutrophication often results in organic enrichment in sediments and large internal nutrients recycling, an interesting research question is to investigate whether plants maintain the capacity to stimulate aerobic or anaerobic microbial communities and processes also under elevated organic *** A manipulative experiment was carried out under laboratory-controlled conditions. Microcosms containing bare sediments and sediments transplanted with the macrophyte Vallisneria spiralis L. were created. The effect of the plant was investigated on sediments with moderate(8%) and elevated(21%) organic matter content, after an acclimatization period of 30 days. Chemical and physical parameters, microbial community composition and the potential rates of nitrification, denitrification and nitrate ammonification were measured at two different depths(0–1 and 1–5 cm) after the acclimatization period to evaluate the role of *** Vallisneria spiralis grew and assimilated pore water nutrients at the two organic matter levels and vegetated sediments had always nutrient-depleted porewaters as compared to bare sediments. Nitrifying microbes had a lower relative abundance and diversity compared to denitrifying bacteria. Fluids in subduction zones can have major effects on subduction dynamics. However, geophysical constraints on the scale and impact of fluid flow during continental subduction are still limited. Here we analyze the VP/VSratios in the Western Alpine region, hosting one of the best-preserved fossil continental subduction zones worldwide, to investigate the impact of fluid flow during continental subduction. We found a belt of high VP/VSratios >1.9 on the upper-plate side of the subduction zone,consistent with a partially serpentinized upper-plate mantle, and a belt of unusually low VP/VSratios <1.7 on the lower-plate side,at depths shallower than 30 km. We propose that these low VP/VSratios result from a widespread network of silica-rich veins,indicating past fluid flow along the continental subduction interface. Our results suggest that past fluid flow may have reduced the effective stress along the subduction interface thus favoring continental subduction.

为探究稀土离子掺杂对Ca_(3)Ti_(2)O_(7)物理性能的调控,采用固相反应法制备了Sm^(3+)掺杂的(Ca_(1-x)Sm_(x))_(3)Ti_(2)O_(7)(x=0,0.02,0.04)陶瓷样品,通过XRD、XPS、紫外-可见光吸收光谱以及第一性原理计算等方法对样品的晶体结构、光学性能、电学性能和磁学性能进行分析.结果表明:随着Sm^(3+)含量的增加,(Ca_(1-x)Sm_(x))_(3)Ti_(2)O_(7)的晶胞参数逐渐增大.Sm^(3+)掺杂导致氧空位减少,因此样品的漏电流随着Sm^(3+)掺杂量的增加而减小.同时,随着Sm^(3+)掺杂量的增加,样品的光学带隙呈现增大趋势.此外,第一性原理研究表明,Sm^(3+)掺杂可在体系中诱导出磁性能,进一步丰富了该材料的物理性能.
