Aims Forest fragmentation and reduced tree population densities can poten-tially have negative impacts on mating patterns,offspring genetic diversity and reproductive *** aim of the present study is to test these hypotheses comparing an extremely fragmented,low tree density(~0.02 trees/ha)holm oak(Quercus ilex l.)stand from Central spain with a nearby high tree density stand(~50 trees/ha).methods We genotyped adult trees and seeds from the low-density stand(436 seeds from 15 families)and the high-density stand(404 seeds from 11 families)using nine microsatellite *** these data,we performed paternity analyses,determined pollen flow,mating patterns and pollen pool structure,and estimated progeny genetic diversity in both *** also studied seed set and production and performed a pollen supplementation experiment to determine whether reduced tree density has limited foreign pollen *** Findings We have found extensive pollen immigration(>75%)into the low tree density stand and monte Carlo simulations revealed that pollen moves larger distances than expected from null models of random *** patterns and differentiation of pollen pools were similar in the high-density stand and the low-density stand but we found higher inter-annual differentiation of pollen pools in the *** genetic diversity and self-fertilization rates did not dif-fer between the low-density stand and the high-density *** set rates were significantly lower in the low-density stand than in the high-density stand and experimental cross-pollen supplementation evidenced that foreign pollen availability is indeed a limiting factor in the ***,seed crops did not differ between the low-density stand and the high-density stand,indicating that limitation of foreign pollen is not likely to be of great concern in terms of reduced seed production and potential *** forest regeneration due to other ecological and human fac

mgO-based adsorbents for CO2 adsorption:Influence of structural and textural properties on the CO_2 adsorption performance

A series of mgO-based adsorbents were prepared through solution–combustion synthesis and ball-milling *** prepared mgO-based powders were characterized using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,N_2 physisorption measurements,and employed as potential adsorbents for CO_2 *** influence of structural and textural properties of these adsorbents over the CO_2 adsorption behaviour was also *** results showed that mgO-based products prepared by solution–combustion and ball-milling processes,were highly porous,fluffy,nanocrystalline structures in nature,which are unique physico-chemical properties that significantly contribute to enhance their CO_2 *** was found that the mgO synthesized by solution combustion process,using a molar ratio of urea to magnesium nitrate（2：1）,and treated by ball-milling during 2.5 hr（mgO-Bm2.5h）,exhibited the maximum CO_2 adsorption capacity of 1.611 mmol/g at 25℃ and 1 atm,mainly via *** CO_2 adsorption behaviour on the mgO-based adsorbents was correlated to their improved specific surface area,total pore volume,pore size distribution and *** reusability of synthesized mgO-Bm2.5h was confirmed by five consecutive CO_2adsorption–desorption times,without any significant loss of performance,that supports the potential of mgO-based *** results confirmed that the special features of mgO prepared by solution–combustion and treated by ball-milling during 2.5 hr are favorable to be used as effective mgO-based adsorbent in post-combustion CO_2 capture technologies.

AIm： To investigate intestinal alkaline phosphatase （iAP） in the intestinal mucosa of children with inflammatory bowel disease （IBD）. mETHODS： Colonic biopsy samples were taken from 15 newly diagnosed IBD patients and from 10 healthy controls. In IBD patients, specimens were obtainedboth from inflamed and non-inflamed areas. The lAP mRNA and protein expression was determined by reverse transcription-polym.rase chain reaction and Western blotting analysis, respectively. Tissue localiza- tion of lAP and Toll-like receptor （TLR） 4 was investi- gated by immunofluorescent staining. REsuLTS： The lAP protein level in the inflamed muco- sa of children with Crohn＇s disease （CD） and ulcerative colitis （UC） was significantly decreased when compared with controls （both P 〈 0.05）. Similarly, we found a significantly decreased level of lAP protein in the in- flamed mucosa in CD compared with non-inflamed mucosa in CD （P 〈 0.05）. In addition, the iAP protein level in inflamed colonic mucosa in patients with UC was decreased compared with non-inflamed mucosa in patients with CD （P 〈 0.05）. lAP protein levels in the non-inflamed mucosa of patients with CD were similar to controls, lAP mRNA expression in inflamed colonic mucosa of children with CD and UC was not significant- ly different from that in non-inflamed colonic mucosa with CD. Expression of lAP mRNA in patients with non- inflamed mucosa and in controls were similar. Co-local- ization of lAP with TLR4 showed intense staining with a dotted-like pattern, lAP was present in the inflamed and non-inflamed mucosa of patients with CD, UC, and in control biopsy specimens, irrespective of whether it was present in the terminal ileum or in the colon. However, the fluorescent signal of TLR4 was more pro- nounced in the colon compared with the terminal ileum in all groups studied. 目的探讨大补肺汤通过调控HIF-1α/NLRP3信号通路及相关分子的表达,从而对高原低氧大鼠急性肺损伤的干预作用。方法SPF级SD大鼠60只随机分为空白组,模型组,阳性药物组,大补肺汤高、中、低剂量组,每组10只。适应性饲养3 d后给药,空白组和模型组大鼠灌胃给予等量生理盐水;大补肺汤高、中、低剂量组分别连续灌胃大补肺汤14 d;阳性药物组给予地塞米松,腹腔注射,进舱前连续给药3 d。除空白组外,第15天起各组大鼠于实验动物低压模拟舱中进行低氧暴露,连续3 d。最后,检测大鼠肺组织湿干重比(wet to dry ratio,W/D);HE染色法观察大鼠肺组织形态;ELISA法检测血清中IL-1β、IL-18的水平;Western blotting与RT-qPCR法分别检测大鼠肺组织中HIF-1α、NLRP3、GSDmD、caspase-1蛋白和mRNA表达。结果W/D值结果表明,与空白组相比,模型组大鼠W/D显著升高(PmD和caspase-1蛋白及mRNA相对表达显著升高(PmD蛋白及m RNA表达显著降低(PmD蛋白表达显著降低且HIF-1α、caspase-1 mRNA表达降低(PmD蛋白表达降低(P<0.05)。阳性药物组及大补肺汤高剂量组作用效果更显著。结论大补肺汤可调控HIF-1α/NLRP3信号通路,抑制细胞焦亡、减轻炎症反应,对高原低氧大鼠急性肺损伤具有一定的保护作用。

Choroidal changes in eyes treated with high-dose systemic corticosteroids for optic neuritis

AIm:To analyze the effect of systemic high-dose corticosteroid on the choroid in patients with unilateral optic ***:A retrospective comparative cohort ***-six eyes of 38 patients with unilateral optic neuritis that received systemic high-dose corticosteroid treatment were *** thickness(CT)and choroidal vascularity index(CVI)were measured in both affected and the fellow eyes at baseline,1 wk.1 and 3 *** in CT and CVI were analyzed in both eyes and compared between ***:The mean CT and CVI were 349μm and 0.70 in the affected eyes and 340μm and 0.69 in the fellow eyes at baseline(P=0.503 and 0.440,respectively).Decrement of CT and CVI at month 3 were significant in affected eyes(P=0.017 and Pment whereas CT decreased from 1 *** CVI also decreased significantly in fellow eyes at 3 mo compared to the baseline(P=0.001).CONCLUSION:A significant decrement in CT and CVI can appear after 3 mo in optic neuritis patients treated with high-dose systemic corticosteroid *** decrease in CVI appeared earlier than the decrease in CT,suggesting choroidal vasoconstriction caused by systemic steroid as a possible mechanism.

Estimating submarine groundwater discharge at a subtropical river estuary along the Beibu Gulf,China

In certain regions,submarine groundwater discharge(SGD)into the ocean plays a significant role in coastal material fluxes and their biogeochemical cycle;therefore,the impact of SGD on the ecosystem cannot be *** this study,SGD was estimated using naturally occurring radium isotopes(^(223)ra and ^(224)ra)in a subtropical estuary along the Beibu Gulf,*** results showed that the ra activities of submarine groundwater were approximately 10 times higher than those of surface *** assuming a steady state and using an ra mass balance model,the SGD flux in may 2018 was estimated to be 5.98×10^(6) m^(3)/d and 3.60×10^(6) m^(3)/d based on 224ra and 223ra,*** the same time,the activities of ra isotopes fluctuated within a tidal cycle;that is,a lower activity was observed at high tide and a higher activity was seen at low *** on these variations,the average tidal pumping fluxes of SGD were 1.15×10^(6) m^(3)/d and 2.44×10^(6) m^(3)/d with 224ra and 223ra,*** SGD accounts for 24%-51%of the total ***,tidal pumping is an important driving force of the SGD in the Dafengjiang River(DFJR)***,the SGD of the DFJR Estuary in the coastal zone contributes significantly to the seawater composition of the Beibu Gulf and the material exchange between land and sea.

Gemerska Poloma矿床是个重要的滑石矿床(储量20万吨),位于西喀尔巴阡山脉Germeric地区.部分滑石化的镁质碳酸盐体赋存在早古生代火山沉积杂岩体中(黑色片岩,变质泥岩),在Variscan变质作用(m1)过程中受到了绿泥石-黑云母带区域变质相的改造.这种原岩是石灰岩的矿体由白色-灰白或者灰色-黑色的菱镁矿与白云石1组成,被次生的白云石2和滑石脉切割.本次研究考察了两次变质事件(m1和m2)的几个连续的矿物组合,最早的组合包括铁白云石,镁菱铁矿与菱铁矿,(并与黑电气石,铁绿泥石,磷灰石,与伊利石-白云母伴生),它们以微小残留物形式产出在菱镁矿和白云石1中,其形成可能早于m1变质作用高峰期.m1变质事件的高峰期以富铁金云母,镁绿泥石1,镁电气石(黑电气石的边缘)和石英的组合为代表.在m1退变质作用过程中,发生了镁交代作用,开始是白云石1结晶,接下来形成菱镁矿,最后是以铁菱镁矿沿裂隙的形成而终.根据碳酸盐地质测温原理,m1变质事件的高峰期温度为460～490°C,变质矿物组合特征也支持这一测温结果.滑石,白云石2,与镁绿泥石2沿着镁碳酸盐岩石裂隙的发育,主要受到m2变质事件的影响,这个变质事件与较年青的Alpine造山事件有关.菱镁矿流体包裹体的研究表明,成矿流体具有复杂的组成,可能以mgCl2组分为主,主要来源于蒸发卤水的演化.原生流体包裹体的盐度～35(wt%mgCl2),均一温度变化范围是216～235℃.石英中流体包裹体也显示了以mgCl2组分为主的相似流体组成,但均一温度比较高,为248～313℃.如果假定石英与m1变质事件同期,那么由流体包裹体计算出的m1变质峰期压力范围是250～350mPa(9～13km),因此地温梯度是35～40℃/km.假定这个梯度在镁交代成矿过程中保持不变,那么相关流体在180～280mPa(7～11km)的压力下的温度为300～350℃.流体包裹体的淋滤分析表明,流体中Cl/Br与Na/Br都很高,说明流体具有蒸发特征.而在Gemeric地区只有在晚二叠纪到早三叠纪这段时间才有如此大量的卤水形成.因此,二叠纪的伸展构造运动与形成菱镁矿的热液系统的形成有关.
