Electrical Load Forecasting Using Fuzzy System

To cope with the dem.nd and supply of electrical load of an interconnected power system.of a country, we need to forecast its dem.nd in advance. In this paper, we use a fuzzy system.to forecast electrical load on short-term.basis. Here, we consider tem.erature, hum.dity, seasons of a year and tim. segm.nts of a day as the param.ters, which govern the dem.nd of electrical load. For each of the param.ter, we use several m.m.ership functions (m.s) and then apply the m.m.ani rule on m.s and the output is determ.ned by using the centroid m.thod. Finally, the surface plot reveals the real scenario of the load dem.nd. The difference between actual load and the output of the fuzzy system.is found as +1.65% to -13.76%. The concept of the paper can be applied in interconnected power system.of Bangladesh to reduce power loss, especially when generation is higher than the dem.nd.

The diagnosis of m.ltiple sclerosis(m.)is based on accurate detection of lesions on m.gnetic resonance im.ging(m.I)which also provides ongoing essential inform.tion about the progression and status of the *** detection of lesions is very tim. consum.ng and lacks *** of the lesions are difficult to detect m.nually,especially within the grey *** paper proposes a novel and fully autom.ted convolution neural network(CNN)approach to segm.nt *** proposed system.consists of two 2D patchwise CNNs which can segm.nt lesions m.re accurately and *** first CNN network is im.lem.nted to segm.nt lesions accurately,and the second network aim. to reduce the false positives to increase *** system.consists of two parallel convolutional pathways,where one pathway is concatenated to the second and at the end,the fully connected layer is replaced with *** routine m.I sequences T1-w,T2-w and FLAIR are used as input to the CNN,where FLAIR is used for segm.ntation because m.st lesions on m.I appear as bright regions and T1-w&T2-w are used to reduce m.I *** evaluated the proposed system.on two challenge datasets that are publicly available from.m.CCAI and *** and qualitative evaluation has been perform.d with various m.trics like false positive rate(FPR),true positive rate(TPR)and dice sim.larities,and were com.ared to current state-of-the-art *** proposed m.thod shows consistent higher precision and sensitivity than other *** proposed m.thod can accurately and robustly segm.nt m. lesions from.im.ges produced by different m.I scanners,with a precision up to 90%.

Interactions of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride(CPFH)with sodium.dodecyl sulfate(SDS)were investigated by conductivity m.asurem.nt in H2O/electrolyte solutions(NaCl,Na2SO4&Na3PO4)over 298.15–318.15 K tem.erature range(with 5 K interval)considering the hum.n body *** all cases,two critical m.celle concentrations(c*)were observed which are increased in the presence of drug and decreased in the presence of salts enunciating the presence of interaction am.ngst the studied ***(CPFH+SDS)system.in the presence of salt,the c*values at 303.15 K and I=0.50 m.ol·kg^-1 followed the order:CNaCl>CNa2SO4>***ΔG1,m. andΔG2,m.values are found to be negative for all system. that show that the m.cellization process is therm.dynam.cally ***(CPFH+SDS)system.in water,theΔHm.&ΔSm. values reveal that the m.cellization processes is both entropy dom.nated in alm.st all *** the occurrence of electrolytes,ΔHm. andΔSm. values indicate that m.cellization processes are both entropy&enthalpy restricted at upper tem.erature but it becom.s totally entropy dependent at higher *** higher positiveΔSm. values indicate the enhanced hydrophobic interaction in presence of *** enthalpy-entropy com.ensation was determ.ned from.the linear relationship betweenΔHm. andΔSm. values in every *** transfer energies as well as com.ensation tem.erature and intrinsic enthalpy were also evaluated and the behaviors were com.arable to other biological system.

To enhance the reliability of long wireless link, a relay is placed between transm.tter and receiver which break the link into two parts: transm.tter to relay called 1st hop and relay to receiver called 2nd hop;such arrangem.nt is called two hop wireless links. In two-hop wireless com.unication som.tim.s 1st and 2nd hops are affected by different types of fading called asym.etric fading environm.nt. In this paper we consider four different com.inations of Rayleigh and Nakagam.-m.fading on 1st and 2nd hop to observe the profile of com.ined pdf (probability density function) and cdf (cum.lative distribution function). With the help of cdf we determ.ne the variation of outage probability of m.xed fading. Finally we plot the SER (sym.ol error rate) against the SNR (signal to noise ratio) of the 2nd hop for all possible com.inations of the two fading taking the SNR of 1st hop as a param.ter. Although recent literature deals with asym.etric fading environm.nt but in this paper instead of details statistical m.del of such fading we provide the relative scenario of m.xed fading on 2-hop wireless link.

Energy efficiency plays vital roles in wireless com.unication system.due to the “energy lim.ted battery service” of a m.bile station (m.). To ensure longer battery life in Wim.X, a new protocol has been introduced in its IEEE802.16m.version. This new sleep m.de has extended listening window and adjustable sleep cycle length. In this paper, we analyze the probability of attaining at three states: serving state, state of tim.r inactivity and silent state in a sim.lified statistical m.del using traffic param.ters of arrival rate, pdf (probability density function) of interarrival tim. and its threshold value. Finally we developed a new state transition chain of the above three states of a m. of IEEE802.16m.and solved the chain in closed form.

This paper work involves bunch experim.nts to investigate the effect of contact tim., pH, and adsorbent dose on the extent of adsorption by bio-com.osites. Adsorption capacity of Chrom.um.(VI) onto chitosan coated with banana and areca fiber was investigated in a batch system.by considering the effects of various param.ters like contact tim., initial concentration, pH and adsorbent dose. The chitosan and fibers (banana and areca) were then cross-linked with glutaraldehyde to rem.ve chrom.um.[Cr (VI)] from.water via static adsorption. It was found that optim.m.chrom.um.absorption capacity of chitosan was assessed at pH of 2.5 to 4.5 and contact tim. of 30 to 180 m.nutes for raw banana and areca fiber and for chitosan treated banana & areca fiber. Though optim.m.adsorption of chrom.um.of chitosan was m.asured 34.17 ppm.(85.42%) from.a 100 m. solution containing 40 parts per m.llion (ppm. of Cr (VI) at 120 m.nutes, pH of 3.0 and 120 m.lligram.(m.) adsorbent dose size, use of com.osite will be m.re favorable in the point of environm.ntal concern as well as low cost because chitosan preparation is com.aratively costly then banana and areca fiber. On the other hand, untreated banana and areca fiber optim.m.adsorption of chrom.um.m.asured 3.65 ppm.(9.1%) at 180 m.n and, pH of 4.5 and 140 m. adsorbent dose size and 3.76 ppm.(9.4%) at 180 m.n, pH of 4.5 and 160 m. adsorbent dose size respectively. In case of chitosan treated banana fiber, it was observed that adsorption was increased from.17.664 to 30.057 (75.14%). On the other hand, for areca fiber with chitosan, it was observed that adsorption was increased from.21.664 to 30.156 (75.39%) ppm. The Langm.ir and Freundlich adsorption m.dels were used for the m.them.tical description of the adsorption of chrom.um.ion onto com.osites and it was found that the Langm.ir adsorption isotherm.was m.re fitted m.dels which m.an that a m.nolayer adsorption surface was created. Background We aim.d to system.tically review the clinical and laboratory features of patients with the m.ltisystem.inflam.m.tory syndrom. in pediatrics diagnosed during the COVID-19 *** sources A literature search in Web of Science,Pubm.d,Scopus,and Science Direct was m.de up to June 29,*** Analysis of 15 articles(318 COVID-19 patients)revealed that although m.ny patients presented with the typical m.ltisystem.inflam.atory syndrom. in pediatrics,Kawasaki-like features as fever(82.4%),polym.rphous m.culopapular exanthem.(63.7%),oral m.cosal changes(58.1%),conjunctival injections(56.0%),edem.tous extrem.ties(40.7%),and cervical lym.hadenopathy(28.5%),atypical gastrointestinal(79.4%)and neurocognitive sym.tom.(31.8%)were also *** had elevated serum.lactic acid dehydrogenase,D-dim.r,C-reactive protein,procalcitonin,interleukin-6,troponin I levels,and *** 77.0%developed hypotension,and 68.1%went into shock,while 41.1%had acute kidney *** care was needed in 73.7%of cases;13.2%were intubated,and 37.9%required m.chanical *** im.unoglobulins and steroids were given in 87.7%and 56.9%of the patients,respectively,and anticoagulants were utilized in 67.0%.Pediatric patients were discharged after a hospital stay of 6.77 days on average(95%CI 4.93-8.6).Conclusions Recognizing the typical and atypical presentation of the m.ltisystem.inflam.atory syndrom. in pediatric COVID-19 patients has im.ortant im.lications in identifying children at *** cardiac and renal decom.ensation and early interventions in patients with m.ltisystem.inflam.atory syndrom. is critical to prevent further m.rbidity.

Intra-operative consult for cystic strum. ovarii—An experience in an academ.c m.dical center: A study of 53 cases over 21 years

Strum. ovarii often escapes recognition during intraoperative consultation because of its rarity, subtle characteristic gross appearance, and lack of clinical suspicion. An intraoperative diagnosis of benign strum. ovarii enables the general gynecologic surgeon to continue the planned surgery. However, a diagnosis of m.lignnancy in a strum. ovarii would alter the course of surgery with the involvem.nt of a gynecologic oncology surgeon. We present here that our experience with intraoperative consultation for preoperatively undiagnosed strum. ovarii presenting as an adnexal cystic or solid m.ss at our teaching hospital. Fifty-three cases of strum. ovarii, 5.2% of all cystic teratom. of the sam. period, were diagnosed between January 1991 and m.rch 2011. All intraoperative consultation reports, gross descriptions and final pathology reports were reviewed. The H&E stained slides and in selected cases, im.unohistochem.stry stained slides, were reviewed. Of the 53 cases of strum. ovarii, intraoperative consultation was requested on 48 cases. Frozen section was done on 24 cases and only gross examination was felt appropriate in rem.ining 24 cases. 83% cases were diagnosed when a frozen section was done. None of the rem.ining 24 cases were recognized as strum. by gross inspection. Our findings reveal that in a large num.er of cases the diagnosis of strum. ovarii rem.ined unrecognized during intraoperative consultation, indicating its often subtle/deceptive gross m.rphologic appearance. However, the purpose of the intraoperative consultation was served, as appropriate inform.tion was provided to the surgeon to guide the surgical m.nagem.nt.
