a. experim.nt wa. condu.ted to test the effica.y of a.m.cha.ica. ba.rier a.ou.d the tree tru.k with one spra. of Cyperm.thrin @ 1 m./l a.d tu.m.ric powder extra.t @ 15 g/500m. of wa.er a.plied in integra.ed a.proa.hes a.a.nst m.ngo m.a.ybu. on m.ngo tree. There were 7 trea.m.nts inclu.ing a.control. The trea.m.nts were m.cha.ica. ba.rier, Cyperm.thrin spra. @ 1 m./l, Tu.m.ric powder spra. @ 15 g/500m. of wa.er, Cyperm.thrin spra. + Tu.m.ric spra., Cyperm.thrin spra. + m.cha.ica. ba.rier, Tu.m.ric + m.cha.ica. ba.rier a.d u.trea.ed control. Three-yea.-old m.ngo pla.ts gra.ted from.a.5-yea.-old m.ngo tree (Va.iety a.0}opa.i) a.d pla.ted in pots were u.ed in the experim.nt. The trea.m.nt, Cyperm.thrin spra. + m.cha.ica. ba.rier ga.e the highest redu.tion of m.ngo m.a.ybu. popu.a.ion 87.06% to 93.90% followed by Tu.m.ric spra. + m.cha.ica. ba.rier a.d showed 81.13% to 86.04% a.d m.cha.ica. ba.rier a.one showed 81.13% to 84.59% popu.a.ion redu.tion. Tu.m.ric powder extra.t showed only (8.42% to 23.77%) popu.a.ion redu.tion of m.ngo m.a.ybu. which wa. lowest com.a.ed to other trea.m.nts.
