O3-type layered oxide cathodes have been widely investigated due to their high reversible capacities and sufficient Na+***,such materials usually suffer from complex multistep phase transitions along with drastic volume changes,leading to the unsatisfied cycle ***,we report a Mg/Ti co-doped O3-type NaNi_(0.5)Mn_(0.5)O_(2.,which can effectively suppress the complex multistep phase transition and realize a solid-solution reaction within a wide voltage *** is confirmed that,the Mg/Ti co-doping is beneficial to enhance the structural stability and integrity by absorbing micro-strain and ***,the as obtained sample delivers an outstanding cyclic performance(82.3%after 2.0 cycles at 1 C)in the voltage range of 2.0-4.0 V,and a high discharge capacity of 86.6 mAh/g after 100 cycles within the wide voltage range(2.0-4.5 V),which outperform the existing *** co-doping strategy offers new insights into high performance O3-type cathode for sodium ion batteries.

KVPO4F with excellent structural stability and high operating voltage has been identified as a promising cathode for potassium-ion batteries （PIBs）,but limits in sluggish ion transport and severe volume change cause insufficient potassium storage ***,a high-energy and low-strain KVPO4F composite cathode assisted by multifunctional K2.4O4electrode stabilizer is exquisitely *** electrochemical investigations demonstrate that this composite cathode can deliver a remarkable energy density up to 530 Wh kg-1with 142.7 mAh g-1of reversible capacity at2. mA g-1,outstanding rate capability of 70.6 mAh g-1at 1000 mA g-1,and decent cycling ***,slight volume change （-5%） and increased interfacial stability with thin and even cathode-electrolyte interphase can be observed through in situ and ex situ characterizations,which are attributed to the synergistic effect from in situ potassium compensation and carbon deposition through self-sacrificing K2.4O4additive.

Neighborhood gardens serve as sensitive sites for human microbial encounters,with phyllosphere microbes directly impacting our respiratory ***,our understanding remains limited on how factors like season,garden age,and land use shape the risk of respiratory diseases(RDs)tied to these garden *** we examined the microbial communities within the phyllosphere of 72.neighborhood gardens across Shanghai,spanning different seasons(warm and cold),garden ages(old and young),and locales(urban and rural).We found a reduced microbial diversity during the cold season,except for Gammaproteobacteria which exhibited an inverse *** land use influenced the microbial composition,urban and rural gardens had strikingly similar microbial ***,young gardens in the cold season hosted a substantial proportion of RDs-associated species,pointing towards increased respiratory inflammation *** essence,while newer gardens during colder periods show a decline in microbial diversity,they have an increased presence of RDs-associated microbes,potentially escalating respiratory disease *** underscores the pivotal role the garden age plays in enhancing both urban microbial diversity and respiratory health.

Large Seebeck coefficients induced by high degeneracy of conduction band minimum,and low intrinsic lattice thermal conductivity originated from large lattice vibrational anharmonicity render Mg_(3)Sb_(2.as a promising n-type thermoelectric ***,we demonstrated unique concentration-dependent occupation behaviors of Cu in Mg_(3.4)Sb_(1.5)Bi_(0.49)Te_(0.01)matrix,evidenced by structural characterization and transport property *** is found that Cu atoms prefer to enter the interstitial lattice sites in Mg_(3)Sb_(2.host with low doping level(Mg_(3.4)Sb_(1.5)Bi_(0.49)Te_(0.01)+x%Cu,x3%),acting as donors for providing additional electrons without deteriorating the carrier *** x is larger than 0.3%,the excessive Cu atoms are inclined to substitute Mg atoms,yielding acceptors to decrease the electron *** a result,the electrical conductivity of the Mg_(3.4)Sb_(1.5)Bi_(0.49)Te_(0.01)+0.3%Cu sample reaches 2.3×10^(4)S/m at 300 K,increasing by 300%compared with that of the pristine *** figure of merit zT values in the whole measured temperature range are significantly improved by the synergetic improvement of power factor and reduction of thermal *** average zT∼1.07 from 32. K to 773 K has been achieved for the Mg_(3.4)Sb_(1.5)Bi_(0.49)Te_(0.01)+0.3%Cu sample,which is about 30%higher than that of the Mg_(3.4)Sb_(1.5)Bi_(0.49)Te_(0.01) sample.

Pasteurella multocida (PM) has been infecting a variety of hosts for a long time,causing sustained economic losses worldwide;however,there have been limited studies on its extensive adaptability (Aktories et al.2.12..Analysis of strains data collected in our laboratory revealed that PM typically acquires foreign genes through transformation and conjugation,rather than transformation and *** and conjugative elements (ICEs)are a crucial mechanism that leads to abrupt changes in niche preferences and enhances environmental adaptability for bacteria,with their number far exceeding the number of plasmids and phages (Wozniak and Waldor 2.10;Johnson and Grossman 2.15;Botelho and Schulenburg 2.2.).Previous research has shown that the European bovine-sourced strain Pm36950 contains the experimentally transferable resistant ICEPmu1,which could integrate into the host chromosome or forming a circular intermediate (Michael et al.2.12..Additionally,a few studies have suggested that PM strains isolated from European bovine and Asian swine might contain ICEs,but these claims lack experimental verification (Klima et al.2.14;Moustafa et al.2.15;Kadlec et al.2.17;Peng et al.2.17;Beker et al.2.18;Schink et al.2.2.).Currently,there is no data available on ICE-carrying PM strains isolated from hosts outside of European cattle or Chinses *** letter presents a report on a novel ICE identified in the hypervirulent and multidrug-resistant PM HN141014 strain isolated from Chinese *** ICE was specifically analyzed for its resistance genes,transferable capacity and host diversity.
