Harvesting renewable water energy in various formats such as raindrops,waves,and evaporation is one of the key strategies for achieving global carbon *** recent decade has witnessed rapid advancement of the droplet‐based electricity generator(DEG)with a continuous leap in the instantaneous output power density from 50W/m2 to several kW/*** this,further pushing the upper limit of the output performance of DEG is still constrained by low surface charge density and long precharging ***,we report a DEG incorporating the Kelvin water dropper(K‐DEG)that can generate an ultrahigh instantaneous power density of 105W/m2 upon one droplet *** this design,the Kelvin water dropper continuously replenishes the high density of surface charges on DEG,while DEG fully releases these surface charges into electric output.K‐DEG with such a high output can directly light five 6‐W commercial lamps and even charge a cellphone by using falling droplets.

Pancreatic cancer,one of the most aggressive malignancies,has no effective treatment due to the lack of targets and drugs related to tumour ***6 can promote the migration of pancreatic cancer and could be a potential target for antimetastasis of pancreatic ***,highly selective and potency SIRT6 inhibitor that can be used in vivo is yet to be ***,we developed a noveSIRT6 allosteric inhibitor,compound 11e,with maximal inhibitory potency and an IC_(50) value of 0.98±0.13μmol/***,compound 11e exhibited significant selectivity against other histone deacetylases(HADC1-11 and SIRT1-3)at concentrations up to 100μmol/*** allosteric site and the molecular mechanism of inhibition were extensively elucidated by cocrystal complex structure and dynamic structural ***,we confirmed the antimetastatic function of such inhibitors in four pancreatic cancer cell lines as well as in two mouse models of pancreatic cancer liver *** our knowledge,this is the first study to reveal the in vivo effects of SIRT6 inhibitors on liver metastatic pancreatic *** not only provides a promising lead compound for subsequent inhibitor developmentargeting SIRT6 but also provides a potential approach to address the challenge of metastasis in pancreatic cancer.

Large-scale structure(LSS)surveys will increasingly provide stringent constraints on our cosmological ***,the density-marked correlation function(MCF)has been introduced,offering an easily computable density-correlation *** have demonstrated that MCFs offer additional,independent constraints on cosmological models beyond the standard two-point correlation(2PCF).In this study,we apply MCFs for the first time to SDSS CMASS data,aiming to investigate the statistical information regarding clustering and anisotropy properties in the Universe and assess the performance of various weighting schemes in MCFs,and finally obtain constraints onΩ_(m).Upon analyzing the CMASS data,we observe that,by combining different weights(α=[-0.2,0,0.2,0.6]),the MCFs provide a tight and independent constraint on the cosmological parameterΩ_(m),yieldingΩ_(m)=0.293±0.006 at the 1σlevel,which represents a significant reduction in the statistical error by a factor of 3.4 compared to that from *** constraint is consistent with recent findings from the small-scale clustering of BOSS galaxies(Zhai et ***.J.948,99(2023))within the 1σ***,we also find that our estimate is lower than the Planck measurements by about 2.6σ,indicating the potential presence of new physics beyond the standard cosmological model if all the systematics are fully *** method outlined in this study can be extended to other surveys and datasets,allowing for the constraint of other cosmological ***,it serves as a valuable tool for forthcoming emulator analysis on the Chinese Space Station Telescope(CSST).

Secondary epileptogenesis is characterized by increased epileptic susceptibility and a tendency to generate epileptiform activities outside the primary *** is one of the major resultants of pharmacoresistance and failure of surgical outcomes in epilepsy,but still lacks effective ***,we aimed to test the effects of low-frequency stimulation(LFS)at the subiculum for secondary epileptogenesis in a mouse ***,secondary epileptogenesis was simulated at regions both contralateral and ipsilateral to the primary focus by applying successive kindling *** kindled at the right CA3 showed higher seizure susceptibilities at both the contralateral CA3 and the ipsilateral entorhinal cortex and had accelerated kindling processes compared with naive *** at the ipsilateral subiculum during the primary kindling progress at the right CA3 effectively prevented secondary epileptogenesis at both the contralateral CA3 and the ipsilateral entorhinal cortex,characterized by decreased seizure susceptibilities and a retarded kindling process at those secondary *** application along with the primary epileptogenesis was ***,the effects of LFS on secondary epileptogenesis were associated with its inhibitory effect at the secondary focus through interfering with the enhancement of synaptic connections between the primary and secondary *** results imply that LFS at the subiculum is an effective preventive strategy for extensive secondary epileptogenesis in temporal lobe epilepsy and present the subiculum as a target with potential translational importance.

This paper presents a superhydrophobic melamine(ME)sponge(ME-g-PLMA)prepared via high-energy radiation-induced in situ covalent grafting of long-alkyl-chain dodecyl methacrylate(LMA)onto an ME sponge for efficient oil–water *** obtained ME-g-PLMA sponge had an excellent pore structure with superhydrophobic(water contact angle of 154°)and superoleophilic *** can absorb various types of oils up to 66–168 times its *** ME-g-PLMA sponge can continuously separate oil slicks in water by connecting a pump or separating oil underwater with a gravity-driven *** addition,it maintained its highly hydrophobic properties even after long-term immersion in different corrosive solutions and repeated oil *** modified ME-g-PLMA sponge exhibited excellent separation properties and potential for oil spill cleanup.

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer is currently the third most common malignant tumor and the second leading cause of cancer-related death *** chemoradiotherapy(nCRT)is standard for locally advanced rectal cancer(LARC).Except for pathological examination after resection,it is not known exactly whether LARC patients have achieved pathological complete response(pCR)before *** date,there are no clear clinical indicators that can predict the efficacy of nCRT and patient *** To investigate the indicators that can predict pCR and long-term outcomes following nCRT in patients with *** Clinical data of 128 LARC patients admitted to our hospital between September 2013 and November 2022 were retrospectively *** were categorized into pCR and non-pCR *** analysis(using the χ^(2) test or Fisher’s exact test)and logistic multivariate regression analysis were used to study clinical predictors affecting *** 5-year disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)rates were calculated using Kaplan-Meier analysis,and differences in survival curves were assessed with the log-rank *** Univariate analysis showed that pretreatment carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)level,lymphocyte-monocyte ratio(LMR),time interval between neoadjuvant therapy completion and total mesorectal excision,and tumor size were correlated with *** results showed that CEA≤5 ng/mL(P=0.039),LMR>2.73(P=0.023),and time interval>10 wk(P=0.039)were independent predictors for *** analysis demonstrated that patients in the pCR group had significantly higher 5-year DFS rates(94.7%vs 59.7%,P=0.002)and 5-year OS rates(95.8%vs 80.1%,P=0.019)compared to the non-pCR *** deposits(TDs)were significantly correlated with shorter DFS(P=0.002)and OS(P<0.001).CONCLUSION Pretreatment CEA,LMR,and time interval contribute to predicting nCRT efficacy in LARC *** pCR demonstrates longer DFS and *** correlate with poor pr

Accurate mapping of loess waterworn gully(LWG)is essential to further study gully erosion and geomorphological evolution for the Chinese Loess Plateau(CLP).Due to the vertical joint and collapsibility of loess,LWGs have the characteristics of zigzag and unique slope abruptness under synthetic action of hydraulic force and *** forces existing LWG mapping methods to either focus on the improvement of mapping accuracy or center on the increase of mapping ***,simultaneously achieving accurate and efficient mapping of LWG is still in its infancy under complex topographic ***,we proposed a method that innovatively integrates the loess slope abruptness feature into an improved deep learning semantic segmentation framework for LWG mapping using 0.6 m Google imagery and 5 m DEM *** selected four study areas representing typical loess landforms to test the performance of our *** proposed method can achieve satisfactory mapping results,with the F1 score,mean Intersection-over-Union(mIoU),and overall accuracy of 90.5%,85.3%,and 92.3%,*** addition,the proposed model also showed significant accuracy improvement by inputting additional topographic information(especially the slope of slope).Compared with existing algorithms(Random forests,original DeepLabV3+,and Unet),the proposed approach in this study achieved a better accuracy-efficiency ***,the method can ensure high accuracy and efficiency of the LWG mapping for different loess landform types and can be extended to study various loess gully mapping and water and soil conservation.

Topological photonics provides a platform for robust energy transport regardless of sharp corners and ***,the frequency multiplexing topological devices have attracted much attention due to the ability to separate optical signals by wavelength and hence the potential application in optical communication *** frequency multiplexing topological devices are generally based on the slow light ***,the resulting static local spatial mode or finely tuned flat band has zero-group velocity,making it difficult for both experimental excitation and channel ***,we propose and experimentally demonstrate an alternative prototype of asymmetric frequency multiplexing devices including a topological rainbow and frequency router based on floating topological edge mode(instead of localized ones);hence the multiple wavelength channels can be collectively excited with a point source and efficiently routed to separate output *** channel separation in our design is achieved by gradually tuning the band gap truncation on a topological edge band over a wide range of frequencies.A crucial feature lies in that the topological edge band is detached from bulk states and floating within the upper and lower photonic band *** interestingly,due to the sandwiched morphology of the edge band,the top and bottom band gaps will each truncate into transport channels that support topological propagation towards opposite directions,and the asymmetrical transportation is realized for the frequency multiplexing topological devices.
