The Thoracic Electrical Bioimpedance(TEB)helps to determine the stroke volume during cardiac *** measuring cardiac signal it is contaminated with *** commonly encountered artifacts are Baseline wander(BW)and Muscle artifact(MA),these are physiological and *** the nature of these artifacts is random,adaptive filtering is needed than conventional fixed coefficient filtering *** address this,a new block based adaptive learning scheme is proposed to remove artifacts from TEB signals in clinical *** proposed block least mean square(BlMS)algorithm is mathematically normalized with reference to data and *** normalization leads,block normalized lMS(BNlMS)and block error normalized lMS(BENlMS)*** adaptive artifact cancellers are developed in both time and frequency domains and applied on real TEB quantities contaminated with physiological *** ability of these techniques is measured by calculating signal to noise ratio improvement(SNRI),Excess Mean Square Error(EMSE),and Misadjustment(Mad).Among the considered algorithms,the frequency domain version of BENlMS algorithm removes the physiological artifacts effectively then the other counter ***,this adaptive artifact canceller is suitable for real time applications like wearable,remove health care monitoring units.

Rice, a staple cereal crop in many parts of the world, has been confronted with multiple environmental stresses including high temperature, negatively impacts the booting as well as anthesis growth stages. The situation is further complicated by the changing climatic conditions, resulting in gradual escalation of temperature as well as changing the rainfall pattern and frequency, thus raising a concern of food security worldwide. The situation can be combat by developing rice varieties with excellent genetics with improved morpho-physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms, together can minimize the adverse effects of heat stress. Here, several strategies(encompassing genetic and genomic, and mechanisms involved) for mitigating the impact of high temperature on rice have been discussed. Finally, the utilization of genomic knowledge in augmenting the conventional breeding approaches have been comprehensively elaborated to develop heat tolerant germplasm.

Early diagnosis remains highly important for efficient cancer treatment, and hence, there is significant interest in the development of effective imaging strategies. This work reports a new multimodal bioimaging method for accurate and rapid diagnosis of cancer cells by introducing aqueous Fe^2＋ and Zn^2＋ ions into cancer cells （i.e., Hela, U87, and HepG2 cancer cells）. We found that the biocompatible metal ions Fe^2＋ and Zn^2＋ forced the cancer cells to spontaneously synthesize fluorescent ZnO nanoclusters and magnetic Fe3O4 nanoclusters. These clusters could then be used for multimodal cancer imaging by combining fluorescence imaging with magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography imaging. Meanwhile, for normal cells （i.e., l02） and tissues, neither fluorescence nor any other obvious difference could be detected between pre- and post-injection. This multimodal bioimaging strategy based on the in situ biosynthesized Zn＆Fe oxide nanoclusters might therefore be useful for early cancer diagnosis and therapy.

This study is focused on calculation of the electronic structure and optical properties of non-metal doped Sb2Se3 using the first-principles method. One and two N atoms are introduced to Sb and Se sites in a Sb2Se3 crystal. When one and two N atoms are introduced into the Sb2Se3 lattice at Sb sites, the electronic structure shows that the doping significantly modifies the bandgap of Sb2Se3 from 1.11 eV to 0.787 and 0.685 eV, respectively. When N atoms are introduced to Se sites, the material shows a metallic behavior. The static dielectric constants el（0） for Sb16Se24, SblsN1Se24, Sb14N2Se24, Sb16Se23N1, and Sb16Se22N2 are 14.84, 15.54, 15.02, 18.9, and 39.29, respectively. The calculated values of the refractive index n（0） for Sb16Se24, SblsN1Se24, Sb14N2Se24, Sb16Se23N1, and Sb16Se22N2 are 3.83, 3.92, 3.86, 4.33, and 6.21, respectively. The optical absorbance and optical conductivity curves of the crystal for N-doping at Sb sites show a significant redshift towards the short-wave infrared spectral region as compared to N-doping at Se sites. The modulation of the static refractive index and static dielectric constant is mainly dependent on the doping level. The optical properties and bandgap narrowing effect suggest that the N-doped Sb2Se3is a promising new semiconductor and can be a replacement for GaSb due to its very similar bandgap and low cost.

The rapid detection of microparticles exhibits a broad range of applications in the field of science and technology. The proposed method differentiates and identifies the 2 μm and 5 μm sized particles using a laser light scattering. The detection method is based on measuring forward light scattering from the particles and then classifying the acquired data using support vector machines. The device is composed of a microfluidic chip linked with photosensors and a laser device using optical fiber. Connecting the photosensors and laser device using optical fibers makes the device more diminutive in size and portable. The prepared sample containing microspheres was passed through the channel, and the surrounding photosensors measured the scattered light. The time-domain features were evaluated from the acquired scattered light, and then the SVM classifier was trained to distinguish the particle’s data. The real-time detection of the particles was performed with an overall classification accuracy of 96.06%. The optimum conditions were evaluated to detect the particles with a minimum concentration of 0.2 μg/m l. The developed system is anticipated to be helpful in developing rapid testing devices for detecting pathogens ranging between 2 μm to 10 μm.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate saponins and various solvent extracts from Atriplex laciniata(A. laciniata)against human parasites and various ***: The samples from A. laciniata used in the activities were crude saponins(*** F) and solvent samples including methanolic extract(*** F), ethyl acetate(*** F), choloroform(*** F),n-hexane(*** F) and water residual(*** F). Anthelmintic potentials of the samples were analyzed against Pheretima posthuma(earthworms) and Ascaridia galli(round worms) using contact toxicity method. Insecticidal activities were performed against Heterotermes indicola(termite), Monomorium pharaonis(pharaoh ant), Tribolium castaneum(flour beetle) and Rhyzopertha dominica(grain borer) using standard ***: In anthelmintic assay, *** F and *** F were most effective against P. posthuma and A. gal-li with average death times of 25.62 and 29.65 min respectively. likewise the anthelmintic assay, *** F and *** F were most effective against H. indicola causing 90.36% and 73.24% lethality respectively. Furthermore, in anti-Pharaoh activity *** F, *** F, *** F, *** F and *** F exhibited highest activity with lD50 of 78, 220, 260, 330 and > 800 mg/m l respectively. *** F and *** F were highly effective against R. dominica causing 80.11% and71.30% lethality respectively. *** F was found most active against T. ***: Our findings suggest that the *** F, *** F and *** F extracted from *** *** be the best options for the isolation of anthelmintic and bio-insecticidal compounds.

The drastic changes in body composition following spinal cord injury(SCI) have been shown to play a significant role in cardiovascular and metabolic health. The pattern of storage and distribution of different types of adipose tissue may impact metabolic health variables similar to carbohydrate, lipid and bone metabolism. The use of magnetic resonance imaging provides insights on the interplay among different regional adipose tissue compartments and their role in developing chronic diseases. Regional adipose tissue can be either distributed centrally or peripherally into subcutaneous and ectopic sites. The primary ectopic adipose tissue sites are visceral, intramuscular and bone marrow. Dysfunction in the central nervous system following SCI impacts the pattern of distribution of adiposity especially between tetraplegia and paraplegia. The current editorial is focused primarily on introducing different types of adipose tissue and establishing scientific basis to develop appropriate dietary, rehabilitation or pharmaceutical interventions to manage the negative consequences of increasing adiposity after SCI. We have also summarized the clinical implications and future recommendations relevant to study adiposity after SCI.
