The paper is concerned with the development of a comprehensive methodology to establish a MPAs （marine protected areas） network in the Black Sea and Azov Sea region. Scientific basis to rationale establish that the MPAs network is a complex system of landscape zoning and mapping, defining their variability, sustainability, and geo-ecological condition, and taking into account evaluation of degradation of the underwater landscape over the past 100 years.

Different types of fiber-optic sensors based on glass or polymeric fibers are used to evaluate material behavior or to monitor the integrity and long-term stability of load-bearing structure components. Fiber-optic sensors have been established as a new and innovative measurement technology in very different fields, such as material science, civil engineering, light-weight structures, geotechnical areas as well as chemical and high-voltage substations. Very often, mechanical quantities such as deformation, strain or vibration are requested. However, measurement of chemical quantities in materials and structure components, such as pH value in steel reinforced concrete members also provides information about the integrity of concrete structures. A special fiber-optic chemical sensor for monitoring the alkaline state （pH value） of the cementitious matrix in steel-reinforced concrete structures with the purpose of early detection of corrosion-initiating factors is described. The paper presents the use of several fiber-optic sensor technologies in engineering. One example concerns the use of highly resolving concrete-embeddable fiber Fabry-Perot acoustic emission （AE） sensors for the assessment of the bearing behaviour of large concrete piles in existing foundations or during and after its installation. Another example concerns fiber Bragg grating （FBG） sensors attached to anchor steels （micro piles） to measure the strain distribution in loaded soil anchors. Polymer optical fibers （POF） can be -- because of their high elasticity and high ultimate strain - well integrated into textiles to monitor their deformation behaviour. Such ＂intelligent＂ textiles are capable of monitoring displacement of soil or slopes, critical mechanical deformation in geotechnical structures （dikes, dams, and embankments） as well as in masonry structures during and after earthquakes.

AIM： To investigate the incidence of KIT immunohostochemical staining in （GI） stromal tumors （GISTs）, and to analyze the clinical manifestations of the tumors and prognostic indicators. METHODS： We retrospectively analyzed 50 cases of previously diagnosed GISTs. Tissue samples were assessed with KIT （CDl17 antigen）, CD34, SMA, desmin, S-100, NSE, PCNA, Ki-67, and BCL-2 for immunohistochemical study and pathological characteristics were analyzed for prognostic factors. RESULTS： Fifteen tumors （30%） were negative in KIT staining. A significant association was observed between gender （male patients： 14/15） and KIT-negative staining （P = 0.003）.The patients＇s mean age was 56.6 years. Tumors developed in stomach （n = 8）, small intestine （n = 5）, large intestine （n = 1） and oesophagus （n = 1）. The mean tumor size was 5.72 cm. The mitotic count ranged from 0-29/50 HPF （mean： 3.4） and 73% of tumors showed no necrosis. The majority of the tumors （67%） had dual or epithelioid differentiation. Tumors were classified as very low or low risk （n = 7）, intermediate risk （n = 5）, and high risk （n = 3） groups. Twelve （80%） patients were alive without evidence of residual tumor for an average period of 40.25 mo （12-82 too）; three patients developed metastatic disease to the liver and eventually died within 2-12 mo （median survival： 8.6 too）.CONCLUSION： A small subgroup of GISTs fulfils the clinical and morphological criteria of these tumors, and lacks KIT expression. These tumors predominantly developed in the stomach, being dual or epithelioid in morphology, which are classified as low risk tumors and presented a better survival status than KIT-positive tumors. The ability to diagnose GISTs still depends on immunohistochemical staining but the research should extend in gene mutations.

Tourism is not only a significant tool of prosperity in well-known tourist destinations, but it is also an important potential development element in developing rural regions. In Czech Republic, the field of regional development and managing destinations started to develop in the second half of the 1990s. Organizing tourism is in the phase of building and passes through natural development. Fierce competition between individual destinations imposes natural pressures on creating marketing managements of these destinations and such offer of products that perfectly come up to tourists＇ expectations. Together with increasing requirements, the demands on quality and well-prepared destinations within home tourism revive. In the final consequence, the level of destination management influences the increase in marketability and attendance in the region. The paper outlines the main theoretical basis, principles and tools of destination management, and subsequently it summarizes the results of the analysis, and conducted survey, the objective of which was to prove the functioning of these principles in practice. The practical verification of the functioning of destination management principles in Czech Republic has been conducted in the South-Moravian region （JMK） which is one of the most-often-visited regions in the country. The set targets have been reached not only by analysing available secondary data, but the techniques of depth interviews with experts in a destination management company have also been used, as well as the techniques of an orientation questionnaire survey among travel agencies and offices that should be one of the partners for a well-functioning destination management company.

LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)is the most promising cathode for high-energy Li-ion batteries,despite its poor cycling stability that originates from the reactions that occur with the ***,to solve this interfacial issue,a facile electrolytic electrochemical polymerization process was introduced in this paper,and a uniform conductive electrolyte interface(polyaniline)was successfully constructed on the surface of the NCM811 porous electrode(PANI-NCM),which facilitated the charge transfer during charge/*** side reactions at the interface between the cathode and the electrolyte are suppressed,and thereby,the cycling performance and rate capability are considerably ***-NCM delivers an initial capacity of 157.2 mAh·g^(-1)as well as excellent cyclability(capacity retention of 88%after 500 cycles at 2C),whereas the capacity of the bare NCM811 has dropped to 31.3 mAh·g^(-1).In addition,polypyrrole and polythiophene also can be formed through electrolytic electrochemical polymerization process,which provides a practicable tactic to modify the interfacial stability of cathodes for high-energy Li-ion batteries.

Seismic Hazard Assessment for Selected Real Locality in Central Europe-Critical Points of Assessment

The seismic hazard value is a fundamental quantity for the seismic risk assessment and for the determination of terms of references of seismic design of important facilities as dams, chemical plants, nuclear power plants, etc.. In real sites, the seismic hazard value is influenced by both, the earthquake sizes, the impacts of which in a given site may be expected, and the properties of geological structure through which seismic waves spread from earthquake loci to a given site. The seismic risk is predetermined by hazard value, distribution of assets in the given site and asset numbers and vulnerabilities. The paper describes the used procedure of hazard assessment of important sites. The attention is especially paid to the basic steps as the data collection （homogeneity level, uncertainty and vagueness）, the focal region boundaries （their uncertainties and vagueness）, and the maximum expected earthquake size in each focal region that must be taken into account （its uncertainty and vagueness）, because they substantially influence the hazard value. Discussion is also concentrated to the attenuation that Central Europe substantially depends on the azimuth between earthquake focus and the given site. The attenuation differences are shown in seismic scenarios for individual focal regions. They are caused by focal mechanisms in near focal zone and differences in structure properties in distant zone; the boundary between near and distant zone in Central Europe is ca 2.5 h, where h is the focal depth in km. The real results are given for a real locality in Central Europe. It is shown than that great influence on hazard value is caused by great differences in azimuth attenuation curves. It is the reality that the Bohemian Massif is characterised with very low seismic attenuation in comparison with its vicinity.
