In response to the imbalance between power generation and demand, demand response(DR) projects are vigorously promoted. However, customers’ DR behaviors are still difficult to be simulated accurately and objectively. To tackle this challenge, we propose a new DR behavioral learning method based on a generative adversary network to learn customers’ DR habits. The proposed method is also extended to maximize the economic revenues of generated DR policies on the premise of obeying customers’ DR habits, which is hard to be realized simultaneously by existing model-based methods and traditional learning-based methods. To further consider customers’ timevarying DR patterns and trace the changes dynamically, we define customers’ DR participation positivity as an indicator of their DR pattern and propose a condition regulation approach improving the natural generative adversary framework to generate DR policies conforming to customers’ current DR patterns. The proposed method is applied to hourly electricity price optimization to reduce the fluctuation of system aggregate loads. An online parameter updating method is also utilized to train the proposed behavioral learning model in continuous DR simulations during electricity price optimization. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

The coherent structures arising during flat-plate boundary layer transition at Mach num-ber 3.4 are investigated using a custom-built hyper-rate imaging system.The evolution of transi-tional structures is investigated in the Eulerian and Lagrangian reference frames.The upstream evolution of transition is dominated by the generation of new hairpin structures,while the interac-tion among multiple structural types dominates the evolution downstream.The breakdown of the existing structure,which may be caused by interactions among multiple types of structures with sim-ilar scales,is also visualized.

This paper focuses on multi-modal Information Perception(IP)for Soft Robotic Hands(SRHs)using Machine Learning(ML)algorithms.A flexible Optical Fiber-based Curvature Sensor(OFCS)is fabricated,consisting of a Light-Emitting Diode(LED),photosensitive detector,and optical fiber.Bending the roughened optical fiber generates lower light intensity,which reflecting the curvature of the soft finger.Together with the curvature and pressure information,multi-modal IP is performed to improve the recognition accuracy.Recognitions of gesture,object shape,size,and weight are implemented with multiple ML approaches,including the Supervised Learning Algorithms(SLAs)of K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Logistic Regression(LR),and the unSupervised Learning Algorithm(un-SLA)of K-Means Clustering(KMC).Moreover,Optical Sensor Information(OSI),Pressure Sensor Information(PSI),and Double-Sensor Information(DSI)are adopted to compare the recognition accuracies.The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed sensors and recognition approaches are feasible and effective.The recognition accuracies obtained using the above ML algorithms and three modes of sensor information are higer than 85 percent for almost all combinations.Moreover,DSI is more accurate when compared to single modal sensor information and the KNN algorithm with a DSI outperforms the other combinations in recognition accuracy.

The emerging two-dimensional(2D)platinum disulfide(PtS_(2))has driven increasing attentions due to its high electron mobility,good air-stability,and strong interlayer interaction which leads to a widely tunable electronic structure.However,a detailed study on its covalent-like layer-dependent properties remains infant.Herein,we demonstrate the successful production of ultrathin 1T-PtS_(2) ribbons with thickness centralized almost at monolayer 1L-4L and large domain size up to 210 μm on Au foils using chemical vapor deposition(CVD)technique,which enables macro-and microscopic study of its extraordinary layer-dependent features with precise control of the number of layers.Using electron energy loss spectroscopy(EELS)and optical pump-probe spectroscopy(OPPS),we reveal that both the electron and ultrafast optical absorption signals of the as-grown 2D PtS_(2) show strong nonlinear layer-dependent responses which manifest discriminated transition in 1L-4L PtS_(2) ribbons.The layer-dependent nonlinear response of 2D PtS_(2) can be well interpreted in the frame of calculated electron and phonon structures.These achievements offer a platform for successfully fabricating large-sized ultrathin 2D PtS_(2) and facilitating our knowledge about its electronic and optoelectronic properties.

Heme responsible for the dioxygen fixation,transport and conversion is a metalloporphyrin complex highly dependent on its diverse geometry of ligand.In this work,a trans-ortho-di-strapped zinc porphyrin with dome-like deformation was synthesized by thermodynamically controlling the formation of transprecursor of porphyrinogen.Its single-crystal structure demonstrated that the asymmetric treatment of porphyrin achieves three goals of creating two secondary coordination sphere(SCS)bulks,maintaining a unique dome deformation,and making atomic out-of-plane deviation.In this way,this metallic complex integrates at least three key features of the pocket structure,the differentiated axial ligations,and the ring distortion,making it an ideal heme analog.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the common major malignancies worldwide and has the third highest mortality rate of any malignancy. The current field of treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma is multidisciplinary in involvement and a combination of therapeutic approaches, among which immunotherapy is the treatment modality for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. This review provides new ideas for developing immunotherapy regimens and improving the efficacy of immunotherapy for patients with advanced liver cancer by summarising the progress of intestinal flora in the immunotherapy of patients with liver cancer.

Two dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs) have attracted much interest and shown promise in many applications.However,it is challenging to obtain uniform TMDCs with clean surfaces,because of the difficulties in controlling the way the reactants are supplied to the reaction in the current chemical vapor deposition growth process.Here,we report a new growth approach called’dissolution-precipitation’(DP) growth,where the metal sources are sealed inside glass substrates to control their feeding to the reaction.Noteworthy,the diffusion of metal source inside glass to its surface provides a uniform metal source on the glass surface,and restricts the TMDC growth to only a surface reaction while eliminating unwanted gas-phase reaction.This feature gives rise to highly uniform monolayer TMDCs with a clean surface on centimeter-scale substrates.The DP growth works well for a large variety of TMDCs and their alloys,providing a solid foundation for the controlled growth of clean TMDCs by the fine control of the metal source.

The practical application of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries is greatly hindered by soluble polysulfides shuttling and sluggish sulfur redox kinetics.Rational design of multifunctional hybrid materials with superior electronic conductivity and high electrocatalytic activity,e.g.,heterostructures,is a promising strategy to solve the above obstacles.Herein,a binary metal sulfide MnS-MoS_(2) heterojunction electrocatalyst is first designed for the construction of high-sulfur-loaded and durable Li-S batteries.The MnS-MoS_(2) p-n heterojunction shows a unique structure of MoS_(2) nanosheets decorated with ample MnS nanodots,which contributes to the formation of a strong built-in electric field at the two-phase interface.The MnS-MoS_(2) hybrid host shows strong soluble polysulfide affinity,enhanced electronic conductivity,and exceptional catalytic effect on sulfur reduction.Benefiting from the synergistic effect,the as-derived S/MnS-MoS_(2) cathode delivers a superb rate capability(643 m A h g^(-1)at 6 C)and a durable cyclability(0.048%decay per cycle over 1000 cycles).More impressively,an areal capacity of 9.9 m A h cm^(-2)can be achieved even under an extremely high sulfur loading of 14.7 mg cm^(-2)and a low electrolyte to sulfur ratio of 2.9μL mg^(-1).This work provides an in-depth understanding of the interfacial catalytic effect of binary metal compound heterojunctions on sulfur reaction kinetics.

Shen Qi Wan attenuates renal interstitial fibrosis through upregulating AQP1

Renal interstitial fibrosis(RIF)is the crucial pathway in chronic kidney disease(CKD)leading to the end-stage renal failure.However,the underlying mechanism of Shen Qi Wan(SQW)on RIF is not fully understood.In the current study,we investigated the role of Aquaporin 1(AQP1)in SQW on tubular epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition(EMT).A RIF mouse model induced by adenine and a TGF-β1-stimulated HK-2 cell model were etablished to explore the involvement of AQP 1 in the protective effect of SQW on EMT in vitro and in vivo.Subsequently,the molecular mechanism of SQW on EMT was explored in HK-2 cells with AQP1 knockdown.The results indicated that SQW alleviated kidney injury and renal collagen deposition in the kidneys of mice induced by adenine,increased the protein expression of E-cadherin and AQP1 expression,and decreased the expression of vimentin andα-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA).Similarly,treatmement with SQW-containing serum significantly halted EMT process in TGF-β1 stimulated HK-2 cells.The expression of snail and slug was significantly upregulated in HK-2 cells after knockdown of AQP1.AQP1 knockdown also increased the mRNA expression of vimentin andα-SMA,and decreased the expression of E-cadherin.The protein expression of vimentin increased,while the expression of E-cadherin and CK-18 significantly decreased after AQP1 knockdown in HK-2 cells.These results revealed that AQP1 knockdown promoted EMT.Furthermore,AQP1 knockdown abolished the protective effect of SQW-containing serum on EMT in HK-2 cells.In sum,SQW attentuates EMT process in RIF through upregulation of the expression of AQP1.
