Polyacrylonitrile-metal sulfide nanocomposites with metal sulfide（Ag2S, CuS, PbS） nanoparticles homo- geneously dispersed on the polyacrylonitrile（PAN） nanofibre were synthesized by means of electrospinning techno- logy combined with gas-solid reaction. A series of experiments was performed to characterize the morphology varia- tion and distribution of the nanocrystalline. The result shows that the concentration of metal salt aqueous solution affects the size and morphology of metal sulfide nanoparticles during the chelating process. Further more, these metal ions nanoparticles were attached to the surface of the nanofibre homogeneously through chelating effect which will be propitious to prevent nanoparticles from aggregation. These results suggest that the method reported here is ex- tremely effective for synthesizing PAN-metal sulfide nanocomposites which have good visible light photocatalytic activity. Further more, this method could be extended to prepare other PAN-metal halides nanocomposites, too.

Documented changes in annual runoff and attribution since the 1950s within selected rivers in China

To enable local water resource management and maintenance of ecosystem integrity and to protect and mitigate against flood and drought, it is necessary to determine changes in long-term series of streamflow and to distinguish the roles that climate change and human disturbance play in these changes. A review of previous research on the detection and attribution of observed changes in annual runoff in China shows a decrease in annual runoff since the 1950s in northern China in areas such as the Songhuajiang River water resources zone, the Liaohe River water resources zone, the Haihe River water resources zone, the Yellow River water resources zone, and the Huaihe River water resources Zone. Furthermore, abrupt changes in annual runoff occurred mostly in the 1970s and 1980s in all the above zones, except for some of the sub-basins in the middle Yellow River where abrupt change occurred in the 1990s. Changes in annual runoff are found to be mainly caused by climate change in the western Songhuajiang River basin, the upper mainstream of the Yangtze River, and the western Pearl River basin, which shows that studies on the impact of climate change on future water resources under different climate change scenarios are required to enable planning and management by agencies in these river basins. However, changes in annual runoff were found to be mainly caused by human activities in most of the catchments in northern China (such as the southern Songhuajiang River, Liaohe River, Haihe River, the lower reach and some of the catchments within the middle Yellow River basin) and in middle-eastern China, such as the Huaihe River and lower mainstream of the Yangtze River. This suggests that current hydro-climatic data can continue to be used in water-use planning and that policymakers need to focus on water resource management and protection.

Dear Editor,Animal models,most commonly mice,that lack a protein of interest play an important role in phenotypic and functional studies of a target gene,allowing researchers to answer various biological questions(Chaible et al,2010).At pre-sent,a variety of tools act at the DNA or RNA level to enable researchers to model gene function(and thus protein)deficiency,including nucleic acid based RNA interference(EI-bashir et al.,2001),antisense oligonucleotides(Schoch and Miller,2017),and genome editing-based CRISPR-Cas9(Doudna and Charpentier,2014)***,challenges remain.

Heterogeneity Analysis of Cucumber Canopy in the Solar Greenhouse

Detailed analysis of canopy structural heterogeneity is an essential step in conducting parameters for a canopy structural model. This paper aims to analyze the structural heterogeneity of a cucumber （Cucumis sativus L.） canopy by means of analyzing leaf distribution in a greenhouse environment with natural sunlight and also to assess the effect of structural canopy heterogeneity on light interception and photosynthesis. Two experiments and four measurements were carried out in autumn 2011 and spring 2012. A static virtual three-dimensional （3D） canopy structure was reconstructed using a 3D digitizing method. The diurnal variation of photosynthesis rate was measured using CIRAS-2 photosynthesis system. The results showed that, leaf azimuth as tested with the Rayleigh-test was homogeneous at vine tip over stage but turned heterogeneous at fruit harvest stage. After eliminating the inlfuence of the environment on the azimuth using the von Mises-Fisher method, the angle between two successive leaves was 144°;at the same time, a rule for the azimuth distribution in the canopy was established, stating that the azimuth distribution in cucumber followed a law which was positive spin and anti-spin. Leaf elevation angle of south-oriented leaves was on average 13.8° higher than that of north-oriented leaves. The horizontal distribution of light interception and photosynthesis differed signiifcantly between differently oriented leaves. East-and west-oriented leaves exhibited the highest photosynthetic rate. In conclusion, detailed analysis of canopy structural heterogeneity in this study indicated that leaf azimuth and elevation angle were heterogeneous in cucumber canopy and they should be explicitly described as they have a great impact both on light distribution and photosynthesis.

The copper-catalyzed and metal-free azide-alkyne click polymerizations have become efficient tools for polymer synthesis. However,the 1,3-dipolar polycycloadditions between internal alkynes and azides are rarely employed to construct functional polymers. Herein, the polycycloadditions of dibutynoate(1) and tetraphenylethene-containing diazides(2) were carried out at 100 °C for 12 h under solvent-and catalyst-free conditions, producing soluble poly(methyltriazolylcarboxylate)s(PMTCs) with high molecular weights in high yields. The resultant polymers were thermally stable with 5% weight loss temperatures up to 377 °C. The PMTCs showed aggregation-induced emission(AIE)properties. They could work as fluorescent sensors for detecting explosive with high sensitivity, and generate two-dimensional fluorescent photopatterns with high resolution. Furthermore, their triazolium salts could be utilized for cell-imaging applications.

due to the complexity and asymmetrical illumination, the images of object are difficult to be effectively segmented by some routine method. In this paper, a kind of edge detection method based on image features and genetic algorithms neural network for range images was proposed. Fully considering the essential difference between an edge point and a noise point, some characteristic parameters were extracted from range maps as the input nodes of the network in the algorithm. Firstly, a genetic neural network was designed and implemented. The neural network is trained by genetic algorithm, and then genetic neural network algorithm is combined with the virtue of global optimization of genetic algorithm and the virtue of parallel computation of neural network, so that this algorithm is of good global property. The experimental results show that this method can get much faster and more accurate detection results than the classical differential algorithm, and has better anti-noise performance.

This study analyzed the prevalent physicochemical phases of smelting slag from the perspective of data science and *** delineated the silicate phase as the pivotal and predominant constraining phase for the resource utilization of smelting *** intricate correlation between metallic elements and dominant phases was *** silicate phase olivine(OL)was synthesized as a paradigm to examine alkali depolymerization,unveiling the optimal conditions for such depolymerization to be an alkali to olivine molar ratio of 1:5,a reaction temperature of 700℃,and a duration of 3 *** underlying mechanism of alkali depolymerization within silicate phases was elucidated under these *** reaction mechanism of alkali depolymerization within silicate phases can be encapsulated in three sequential steps:(1)NaOH dissociation and subsequent adsorption of OH^(-)to cationic(Mg or Fe)sites;(2)disruption of cation-oxygen bonds,leading to the formation of hydroxide compounds,which then underwent oxidation;(3)Na^(+)occupied the resultant cation vacancy sites,instigating further depolymerization of the intermediate Na_(2)(Mg,Fe)SiO_(4).The articulated mechanism is anticipated to furnish theoretical underpinnings for the efficacious recuperation of metals from smelting slags.

AIM:To investigate the correlation of ischemic ophthalmopathy(IO)with lacunar infarction(LI),an ischemic lesions in the cerebrovascular ***:Totally 204 cases of IO without any nervous system symptom and previously diagnosed LI served as the observational *** 204 cases without IO,nervous system symptoms and previous LI served as the control *** and sex between the two groups matched *** was diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and the results of the two groups were statistically analyzed and ***:IO included 174 eyes of 156 patients with non-arteritis anterior ischemic optic neuropathy(NAION),42 eyes of 36 patients with central retinal artery occlusion(CRAO)or branch retinal artery occlusion(BRAO)and 12 eyes of 12 patients with ocular ischemia syndrome(OIS).The detection rate of LI(72.54%)in IO group was obviously higher than that(15.68%)in the control group(Pdue to their small *** majority of those first visited IO patients(72.54%)without nervous system symptom and previously diagnosed LI had already suffered from ***:According to our studies,there is a positive correlation between IO and *** can be used as an important predictor for the present of LI,especially obvious signs of the patient.

We report on an efficient blue light generation in periodically poled LiTaO3 by the frequency tripling of a quasi-continuous 1342nm Nd:YVO4 laser. The period of the sample was 14.778µm. Blue light with an average power of 138mW was generated from a 18mm long crystal in a single-pass process under an average fundamental power of 713mW. The internal conversion efficiency was 19.3%.

Objective Testicular germ cell tumors(TGCT) are the most common cancer among men aged 15 to 39 years. Previous studies have considered factors related to TGCT survival rate and race/ethnicity, but histological type of the diagnosed cancer has not yet been thoroughly *** The data came from 42,854 eligible patients from 1992 to 2015 in the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results 18. Frequencies and column percent by seminoma and nonseminoma subtypes were determined for each covariates. We used Cox proportional hazard regression to assess the impact of multiple factors on post-diagnostic mortality of *** Black males were diagnosed at a later stage, more commonly with local or distant *** incidence of TGCT in black non-seminoma tumors increased most significantly. The difference in survival rates between different ethnic and histological subtypes, overall survival(OS) in patients with non-seminoma was significantly worse than in patients with seminoma. The most important quantitative predictor of death was the stage at the time of diagnosis, and older diagnostic age is also important factor affecting *** Histological type of testicular germ cell tumor is an important factor in determining the prognosis of testicular cancer in males of different ethnic groups.
