Conformal and continuous deposition of bifunctional cobalt phosphide layers on p-silicon nanowire arrays for improved solar hydrogen evolution

Vertically aligned p-silicon nanowire （SiNW） arrays have been extensively investigated in recent years as promising photocathodes for solar-driven hydrogen evolution. However, the fabrication of SiNW photocathodes with both high photoelectrocatalytic activity and long-term operational stability using a simple and affordable approach is a challenging task. Herein, we report conformal and continuous deposition of a di-cobalt phosphide （C02P） layer on lithography- patterned highly ordered SiNW arrays via a cost-effective drop-casting method followed by a low-temperature phosphorization treatment. The as-deposited C02P layer consists of crystalline nanoparticles and has an intimate contact with SiNWs, forming a well-defined SiNW@Co2P core/shell nanostructure. The conformal and continuous Co2P layer functions as a highly efficient catalyst capable of substantially improving the photoelectrocatalytic activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction （HER） and effectively passivates the SiNWs to protect them from photo-oxidation, thus prolonging the lifetime of the electrode. As a consequence, the SiNW@Co2P photocathode with an optimized C02P layer thickness exhibits a high photocurrent density of -21.9 mA·cm^-2 at 0 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode and excellent operational stability up to 20 h for solar-driven hydrogen evolution, outperforming many nanostructured silicon photocathodes reported in the literature. The combination of passivation and catalytic functions in a single continuous layer represents a promising strategy for designing high-performance semiconductor photoelectrodes for use in solar-driven water splitting, which may simplify fabrication procedures and potentially reduce production costs.

Background: The Cambodian Tailorbird(Orthotomus chaktomuk) was one of the most recent major ornithological discoveries in South-east Asia as it originated from lowland seasonally flooded scrub within the densely inhabited floodplain around the Tonle Sap, Mekong and Bassac rivers(Cambodia). The Cambodian Tailorbird is sister to the Dark-necked Tailorbird(O. atrogularis) with very limited genetics and biometric differentiation. Between 2004 and 2012, evidences of a new population of Ashy Tailorbird(O. ruficeps) in SE Cambodia/Vietnam accumulated but no museum specimens were ever reported. The Ashy Tailorbird currently consists of eight subspecies among which the closest geographical populations, O. r. cineraceus(SE Burma to Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Bangka and Belitung) and O. r. borneoensis(Borneo), are allopatric. Subspecific identification of the Cambodian Ashy Tailorbirds individuals was not possible because of the limited differences in plumage among ***: We inspected the Orthotomus ruficeps specimens housed at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle(Paris) and discovered five specimens of O. ruficeps collected by Louis Rodolphe Germain in ‘Cochinchina'(corresponding to southern Vietnam) during the nineteenth century. We sequenced one mitochondrial locus and gathered biometric data from these specimens and compared them with other Orthotomus ***: The Ashy Tailord population from SE Cambodia and Vietnam is distinct from the two geographically close subspecies O. r. borneoensis(1.7%) and O. r. cineraceus(1.3%). O. chaktomuk is nested within O. atrogularis in the mitochondrial gene tree. Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers with a very poor prognosis. Recently, there has been a significant increase in research directed towards identifying potential biomarkers that can be used to diagnose and provide prognostic information for pancreatic cancer. These markers can be used clinically to optimize and personalize therapy for individual patients. In this review, we focused on 3 biomarkers involved in the DNA damage response pathway and the necroptosis pathway: Chromodomainhelicase-DNA binding protein 5, chromodomain-helicaseDNA binding protein 7, and mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein. The aim of this article is to review present literature provided for these biomarkers and current studies in which their effectiveness as prognostic biomarkers are analyzed in order to determine their future use as biomarkers in clinical medicine. Based on the data presented, these biomarkers warrant further investigation,and should be validated in future studies.

INTRODUCTION Retroperitoneal malignant teratoma is a rare congenital tumor,representing 1%-10%of retroperitoneal tumors in children.12 A pathological migration of primitive germ cells to the genital ridges can stop at various levels,which explains the localizations of these tumors.3 The diagnosis is done either prena-tally,or later in front of an abdominal mass.45 We reported a case treated in our department and reviewed the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of its management.

The slippery slope framework(SSF)of tax compliance postulates that taxpayers’compliance behaviour depends on the two dimensions:trust in authorities and power of *** an attempt to overcome common-method biases,the present study tests the main assumptions of the SSF with a sample of 44 countries/***/region-level trust and power indices are calculated based on experimental data involving 14,509 participants and related to shadow economy estimates and–as an alternative indicator of non-compliance–corruption *** results indicate that both trust and power are negatively related to the size of the shadow economy and the extent of *** results emphasise the importance of both SSF dimensions in combating tax evasion and counterproductive behaviour within a society in general.

Good quality crystals of calcium p-nitrophenolate （NPCa） were grown from saturated solution by slow evaporation method. The crystal structure analysis and the molecular arrangement of these crystals were determined using X-ray diffraction （XRD）. From Single crystal XRD studies, NPCa is found to be crystallized in the mon- oclinic system with a space group P21/n. The functional groups of the material were confirmed qualitatively by F-FIR （Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy） spectral analysis. Optical absorption studies reveal the absorption region and microhardness studies were carried out to confirm the mechanical behaviour of the crystals.
