This paper focuses on the Direction of arrival(DOA) tracking problem in dynamic environments w.ere each source signal is modeled as a Gaussian process w.th time-varying mean and unknow. covariance. In the presence of highly dynamic environment, benchmark algorithms usually have deteriorated performance. By treating the source signals as a function of the arrival angles, a sequential Bayesian tracking approach named Simultaneous angle-source update(SASU) is proposed based on the Maximum a posteriori(MAP) principle. The key feature of the proposed approach is to simultaneously update the arrival angles and the source signals in the Kalman filter step by converting the update process of the state vector into a joint optimization problem. An iterative New.on method to efficiently solve the joint optimization problem is proposed. The accuracy and robustness of the proposed SASU algorithm is demonstrated via simulations.

Background:Excessive heat exposure can lead to hyperthermia in humans,w.ich impairs physical performance and disrupts cognitive *** heat is a know. physiological stressor,it is unclear how.severe heat stress affects brain physiology and ***:Eleven healthy participants w.re subjected to heat stress from prolonged exercise or w.rm w.ter immersion until their rectal temperatures(T_(re))attained 39.5℃,inducing exertional or passive hyperthermia,*** a separate trial,blended ice w.s ingested before and during exercise as a cooling *** w.re compared to a control condition w.th seated rest(normothermic).Brain temperature(T_(br)),cerebral perfusion,and task-based brain activity w.re assessed using magnetic resonance imaging ***:T_(br)in motor cortex w.s found to be tightly regulated at rest(37.3℃±0.4℃(mean±SD))despite fluctuations in T_(re).w.th the development of hyperthermia,T_(br)increases and dovetails w.th the rising T_(re).Bilateral motor cortical activity w.s suppressed during high-intensity plantarflexion tasks,implying a reduced central motor drive in hyperthermic participants(T_(re)=38.5℃±0.1℃).Global gray matter perfusion and regional perfusion in sensorimotor cortex w.re reduced w.th passive *** function w.s poorer under a passive hyperthermic state,and this could relate to compromised visual processing as indicated by the reduced activation of left lateral-occipital ***,ingestion of blended ice before and during exercise alleviated the rise in both T_(re)and T_(bc)and mitigated heat-related neural ***:Severe heat exposure elevates T_(br),disrupts motor cortical activity and executive function,and this can lead to impairment of physical and cognitive performance.

In recent decades,social scientists have debated declining levels of trust in American *** the same time,many American institutions are coming under scrutiny for their use of artificial intelligence(AI)*** paper analyzes the results of a survey experiment over a nationally representative sample to gauge the effect that the use of AI has on the American public’s trust in their social institutions,including government,private corporations,police precincts,and *** find that artificial intelligence systems w.re associated w.th significant trust penalties w.en used by American police precincts,companies,and *** penalties w.re especially strong for American police precincts and,in most cases,w.re notably stronger than the trust penalties associated w.th the use of smartphone apps,implicit bias training,machine learning,and mindfulness ***’trust in institutions tends to be negatively impacted by the use of new.*** there are significant variations in trust betw.en different pairings of institutions and tools,generally speaking,institutions w.ich use AI suffer the most significant loss of *** government agencies are a notable exception here,receiving a small but puzzling boost in trust w.en associated w.th the use of AI systems.

A new.class of potential antibacterial agents has been synthesized on a new.molecular scaffold of cyclohexane carboxylate. w. have tagged this new.class of compounds TACCs (Trisubstituted Aryl Cyclohexanecarboxylate). These new.molecules are structural analogues of an Activators of Self-Compartmentalizing Proteases 4 and 5 (ACP 4 and 5), and w.re synthesized to circumvent the drug-like property (drug-ability) challenges and liability noted in ACP 4 and 5. A pseudo-Robinson annulation protocol w.s used to furnish this new.class of potential antibiotics. Structure-activity relationship (SAR) study w.s done to identify the pharmacophore(s) in this molecular scaffold. A selection of these compounds w.s used in our preliminary antibacterial inhibitory activities’ studies on Bacillus mycoides and Bacillus subtilis. These preliminary studies show.that the TACCs exhibited equal, and in some cases better, antibacterial activity than ACP 4 and 5.

Prostate-specific antigen （PSA） along w.th digital rectal exam has been the standard for prostate cancer screening in the United States for the past 20 years.1 During this time period, the improved detection of prostate cancer decreased related mortality more than 30%.2 In fact, metastases and their comorbidities have decreased more than 75% since the early 1990s, resulting in a higher incidence of early organ-confined disease. w.ile it is clear that prostate cancer mortality statistics have improved, it is unclear w.ether men are overscreened.

Human-induced land use changes and the resulting alterations in vegetation features are major but poorly recognized drivers of regional climatic *** order to investigate the impacts of anthropogenically-induced seasonal vegetation cover changes on regional climate in China,harmonic analysis is applied to 1982-2000 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration（NOAA） Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer（AVVHRR）-derived normalized difference vegetation index（NDVI） time series（ten day interval data）.For tw. climatic divisions of South China,it is show. that the first harmonic term is in phase w.th air temperature,w.ile the second and third harmonics are in phase w.th agricultural *** Penman-Monteith Equation and the Complementary Relationship Areal Evapotranspiration（CRAE） model suggest that monthly mean evapotranspiration is out of phase w.th temperature and precipitation in regions w.th signiffcant second or third ***,seasonal vegetation cover changes associated w.th agricultural cultivation are identiffed：for cropped areas,the temperature and precipitation time series have a single maximum value,w.ile the monthly evapotranspiration time series has a bimodal *** is hypothesized that multi-cropping causes the land surface albedo to sharply increase during harvesting,thereby altering the energy distribution ratio and contributing to observed seasonal vegetation cover changes.

Background: Circus cyaneus is a medium-sized bird of prey that is w.dely distributed across the Northern Hemisphere. There are tw. currently recognized forms, the Palearctic form C. c. cyaneus(Hen Harrier), and the Nearctic form C. c. hudsonius(Northern Harrier). The forms have recently been split by the British Ornithologists' Union but the American Ornithologists' Union and some other taxonomic committees have not yet made any change. Here w. examine the phylogenetic relationship betw.en the tw. forms using sequence data from multiple nuclear and mitochondrial genes and examine breeding biology, body size, morphology, dispersal and other ***: In order to fully compare cyaneus and hudsonius, w. carried out a full literature review. measured museum skins and carried out phylogenetic analysis using a number of different mitochondrial genes and compare our findings to other recent ***: w. find that these tw. allopatric taxa form reciprocally monophyletic groups, show.substantial mt DNA sequence divergence, and further differ significantly w.th respect to body size, plumage characters, breeding biology, dispersal and other behavioral ***: Based on an array of consistently divergent characteristics, it is suggested that the tw. forms are best regarded as separate species, Hen Harrier(Circus cyaneus) and Northern Harrier(Circus hudsonius).
