Locoregionally advanced laryngeal and hypopharyngeal cancers(LA-LHCs)are traditionally treated with surgery followed by postoperative radiotherapy,which impairs speech and swallowing functions and reduces the quality of life.^(1,2)The use of induction chemotherapy(IC)as a larynxpreserving approach for LA-LHCs has been verified and refined.^(3)However,the short-term tumor response to IC varies,non-responders usually show poor survival and little benefit.

The temporal variation of greenhouse gas concentrations in China during the COVID-19 lockdown in China is analyzed in this work using high resolution measurements of near surface ΔCO_(2),ΔCH_(4) andΔCO concentrations above the background conditions at Lin’an station(LAN),a regional background station in the Yangtze River Delta *** the pre-lockdown observational period(IOP-1),bothΔCO_(2) andΔCH_(4) exhibited a significant increasing trend relative to the 2011-2019 climatological *** reduction ofΔCO_(2),ΔCH_(4) andΔCO during the lockdown observational period(IOP-2)(which also coincided with the Chinese New Year Holiday)reached up to 15.0 ppm,14.2 ppb and 146.8 ppb,respectively,and a reduction ofΔCO_(2)/ΔCO probably due to a dramatic reduction from industrial emissions.ΔCO_(2),ΔCH_(4) and ΔCO were observed to keep declining during the post-lockdown easing phase(IOP-3),which is the synthetic result of lower than normal CO_(2) emissions from rural regions around LAN coupled with strong uptake of the terrestrial ***,the trend reversed to gradual increase for all species during the later easing phase(IOP-4),with ΔCO_(2)/ΔCO constantly increasing from IOP-2 to IOP-3 and finally IOP-4,consistent with recovery in industrial emissions associated with the staged resumption of economic *** average,ΔCO_(2) declined sharply throughout the days during IOP-2 but increased gradually throughout the days during *** findings showcase the significant role of emission reduction in accounting for the dramatic changes in measured atmosphericΔCO_(2) and ΔCH_(4) associated with the COVID-19 lockdown and recovery.

SemipolarⅢ-nitrides have attracted increasing attention in applications of optoelectronic devices due to the much reduced polarization field.A high-quality semipolar AlN template is the building block of semipolar AlGaN-based deep-ultraviolet light emitting diodes(DUV LEDs),and thus deserves special *** this work,a multi-step in situ interface modification technique is developed for the first time,to our knowledge,to achieve high-quality semipolar AlN *** stacking faults were efficiently blocked due to the modification of atomic configurations at the related *** regrown AlGaN layers were obtained on the in situ treated AlN template,and stacking faults were eliminated in the post-grown AlGaN *** strains between AlGaN layers were relaxed through a dislocation glide in the basal plane and misfit dislocations at the *** contrast,high-temperature ex situ annealing shows great improvement in defect annihilation,yet suffers from severe lattice distortion with strong compressive strain in the AlN template,which is unfavorable to the post-grown AlGaN *** strong enhancement of luminous intensity is achieved in in situ treated AlGaN DUV *** in situ interface modification technique proposed in this work is proven to be an efficient method for the preparation of high-quality semipolar Al N,showing great potential towards the realization of high-efficiency optoelectronic devices.

Based on three datasets of the Chinese Social Survey(CSS)2013,2015,and 2017 and the National Statistical Yearbook,this study examined whether and in what ways using the Internet may or may not affect the public evaluation of government environmental governance(GEG).There are three main ***,Internet use has a negative influence on the public evaluation of ***,there has been an urban-rural difference in terms of Internet use;especially for the rural resident,increasing their use of the Internet significantly lowered their evaluation of ***,Internet use affects GEG mainly through political trust,whilst it tends to enhance people’s perception of environmental problems;however,it has little influence on their evaluation of *** finding implies that public evaluation of GEG should be viewed as an important inter-subjective dimension of GEG;especially in the Internet era,it has become increasingly necessary for the government to not only continuously improve the quality of governance by dealing with actual/practical environmental issues,but also enhance its ability to react to the public opinions online effectively and appropriately.

Purpose Understanding the femur load environment during daily activity is necessary for the understanding of risk of femoral pain,pain related falls,and femoral fractures,which could help the design of osteogenic exercises or the preventa-tive methods for older *** Using the finite element femur analysis,this study was to estimate the femoral strains at 9 cross-sections along the long axis of femur for stair ascent and descent(n=17;age:50-65 years).Motion analysis and inverse dynamics were com-bined with musculoskeletal modelling and optimization,then were used as input to a 3-D femur model to estimate femoral *** at the hip contact force peaks were *** The compressive and tensile strains during stair descent were greater than ascent for all or most cross-sections,especially for the proximal cross-sections of the femur:stair ascent produced−324.0±103.8 to−483.7±191.0μεcompressive strains and descent produced−608.8±288.4 to 1016.0±444.1με;stair ascent produced 336.2±105.4 to 391.8±136.9μεtensile strains and descent produced 546.9±252.8 to 741.7±333.6με.Conclusion Strains represent the material deformation effect on the bone due to the sum of all the bone external *** bone strains could help future studies analyze load conditions in a more comprehensive way for other physical activities,which predicts the risk of stress fractures and tests if alternative methods(gait type change)could reduce stress and strain effectively.

In this paper, we present an innovative design of multiple description coding with spatial-temporal hybrid interpola- tion (MDC-STHI) for peer-to-peer (P2P) video streaming. MDC can be effective in P2P networks because the nature of overlay routing makes path diversity more feasible. However, most MDC schemes require a redesign of video coding systems and are not cost-effective for wide deployment. We base our work on multiple state video coding, a form of MDC that can utilize standard codecs. Two quarter-sized video bit streams are generated as redundancies and embedded in the original-sized streams. With MDC-STHI, the nodes in P2P network can adjust the streaming traffic to satisfy the constraints of their devices and network environment. By design, the redundancies are used to compensate for missing frames, and can also be streamed independently to fulfill certain needs of low rate, low resolution applications. For better error concealment, optimal weights for spatial and temporal interpolation are determined at the source, quantized, and included in redundancies.
