Molecular packing tuning via chlorinated end group enables efficient binary organic solar cells over 18.5%

Designing novel nonfullerene acceptors(nFAs)is of vital importance for the development of organic solar cells(OSC).Modification on the side chain and end group are two powerful tools to construct efficient ***,based on the high-performance L8BO,we selected 3-ethylheptyl to substitute the inner chain of 2-ethylhexyl,obtaining the backbone of *** we introduced different halogen atoms of fluorine and chlorine on 2-(3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1Hinden-1-ylidene)malononitrile end group(EG)to construct efficient nFAs named BOn3-F and BOn3-Cl,*** donor D18 was chosen to combine with two novel nFAs to construct OSC ***,D18:BOn3-Cl-based device shows a remarkable power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 18.57%,with a high open-circuit voltage(V_(OC))of 0.907 V and an excellent fill factor(FF)of 80.44%,which is one of the highest binary PCE of devices based on D18 as the ***,BOn3-F-based device shows a relatively lower PCE of 17.79%with a decreased FF of 79.05%.The better photovoltaic performance is mainly attributed to the red-shifted absorption,higher electron and hole mobilities,reduced charge recombination,and enhanced molecular packing in the D18:BOn3-Cl ***,we performed stability tests on two binary systems;the D18:BOn3-Cl and D18:BOn3-F devices maintain 88.1%and 85.5%of their initial efficiencies after 169 h of storage at 85°C in an n2-filled glove box,*** work demonstrates the importance of selecting halogen atoms on EG and provides an efficient binary system of D18:BOn3-Cl for further improvement of PCE.

Alternative relay regulates the adenosine triphosphatase activity of Locusta migratoria striated muscle myosin

Locust(Locusta migratoria)has a single striated muscle myosin heavy chain(Mhc)gene,which contains 5 clusters of alternative exclusive exons and 1 differently included penultimate *** alternative exons of Mhc gene encode 4 distinct regions in the myosin motor domain,that is,the n-terminal SH3-like domain,one lip of the nucleotide-binding pocket,the relay,and the ***,we investigated the role of the alternative regions on the motor function of locust muscle *** Sf9-baculovirus protein expression system,we expressed and purified 5 isoforms of the locust muscle myosin heavy meromyosin(HMM),including the major isoform in the thorax dorsal longitudinal flight muscle(FL1)and 4 isoforms expressed in the abdominal intersegmental muscle(AB1 to AB4).Among these 5 HMMs,FL1-HMM displayed the highest level of actin-activated adenosine triphosphatase(ATPase)activity(hereafter referred as ATPase activity).To identify the alternative region(s)responsible for the elevated ATPase activity of FL1-HMM,we produced a number of chimeras of FL1-HMM and *** with the relay of AB4-HMM(encoded by exon-14c)substantially decreased the ATPase activity of FL1-HMM,and conversely,the relay of FL1-HMM(encoded by exon-14a)enhanced the ATPase activity of *** showed that the exon-14a-encoded residues Gly474 and Asn509 are responsible for the elevated ATPase activity of *** results indicate that the alternative relay encoded by exon-14a/c play a key role in regulating the ATPase activity of FL1-HMM and AB4-HMM.

High-purity germanium(HPGe)detectors,which are used for direct dark matter detection,have the advantages of a low threshold and excellent energy *** surface passivation of HPGe has become crucial for achieving an extremely low energy *** this study,first-principles simulations,passivation film preparation,and metal oxide semiconductor(MOS)capacitor characterization were combined to study surface *** calculations of the energy band structure of the -H,-OH,and -nH_(2) passivation groups on the surface of Ge were performed,and the interface state density and potential with five different passivation groups with n/O atomic ratios were accurately analyzed to obtain a stable surface *** on the theoretical calculation results,the surface passivation layers of the Ge_(2)On_(2) film were prepared via magnetron sputtering in accordance with the optimum atomic ratio *** microstructure,C-V,and I-V electrical properties of the layers,and the passivation effect of the Al/Ge_(2)On_(2)/Ge MOS were characterized to test the interface state *** mean interface state density obtained by the Terman method was 8.4×10^(11) cm^(-2) eV^(-1).The processing of germanium oxynitrogen passivation films is expected to be used in direct dark matter detection of the HPGe detector surface passivation technology to reduce the detector leakage currents.

Impacts of Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture on Phytoplankton in Sanggou Bay

Integrated multi-trophic aquaculture(IMTA)has been considered as an ecofriendly culture system providing a potential solution to environmental risks caused by intensive monoculture ***,the impact of IMTA on phytoplankton remains *** this study,the spatial and temporal variations of phytoplankton in Sanggou Bay were investigated seasonally based on 21 sampling sites covering three cultivation zones(bivalve zone,IMTA zone,and kelp zone)and one control zone(without aquatic cultivation).In total,128 phytoplankton species,with diatoms and dinoflagellates as the dominant groups,were obtained across the whole year,and the mean Shannon diversity index(H')and species richness(SR)were determined as 1.39 and 9.39,*** maximum chlorophyll a(Chl-a)(6.32μg L^(-1))and plankton diversity(H'of 1.97)occurred in summer and autumn,*** to other zones,the bivalve zone displayed significantly higher Chl-a and lower H'in majority of *** PERMAnOVA analysis indicated that the phytoplankton assemblage in the bivalve zone was significantly different with the control and kelp zones,while the IMTA zone maintained close to other three *** on generalized additive models,temperature,nO_(2)^(-)-n,n/P ratio,SiO_(3)^(2-)-Si,and salinity were determined as the key factors underlying Chl-a and phytoplankton ***-tionally,the results of redundancy analysis further indicated that the phytoplankton assemblage in the bivalve zone is positively re-lated with nutrients such as nO_(3)^(-)-n and nH_(4)^(+)-n as well as water depth,while the phytoplankton assemblages in the kelp,control,and IMTA zones are associated with nO_(2)^(-)-n,SiO_(3)^(2-)-Si,and *** all observations into consideration together,it can be inferred that IMTA can effectively reduce Chl-a level compared to bivalve monoculture by reducing the ***,the SR,H’,and species composition of phytoplankton are primarily determined by local environment fa

nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization leads to soil arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal diversity changes and rainfed crop yield increase on the Loess Plateau of China:A 37-year study

More than 80%of plants form mutualistic symbiotic relationships with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF),and the application of fertilizers,such as nitrogen(n)and phosphorus(P)fertilizers,is a common agricultural management practice to improve crop yield and ***,the potential effects of long-term n and P fertilization on the AMF community in the rainfed agricultural system of the Loess Plateau of China are still not well *** this study,a long-term field experiment was conducted based on orthogonal design,with three n levels(0,90,and 180 kg ha^(-1)year^(-1))and three P levels(0,90,and 180 kg ha^(-1)year^(-1))for wheat *** in AMF community and correlations between AMF community composition,soil environmental factors,and wheat yield component traits were analyzed using traditional biochemical methods and high-throughput sequencing *** results showed that long-term n and P addition had a significant effect on the AMF community structure and *** application alone significantly reduced the richness and diversity of AMF community,whereas the combined application of n and P significantly increased the richness and diversity of AMF *** AMF community was driven mainly by soil available P,total P,and *** was a significant positive correlation between Glomus abundance and wheat yield and a significant negative correlation between Paraglomus abundance and wheat ***-term n and P addition directly increased crop yield and affected yield indirectly by influencing soil chemical properties and the AMF *** application of n and P both at90 kg ha^(-1)year^(-1)could improve the ecological and physiological functions of the AMF community and benefit the sustainable development of rainfed agriculture.

Apoptosis is an important process for organism development that functions to eliminate cell damage,maintain homeostasis,and remove obsolete tissues during *** mammals,apoptosis is accompanied by the release of cytochrome C(Cyt-c)from mitochondria to the ***,whether this process is conserved in the fruit fly,Drosophila melanogaster,remains *** this study,we discovered that during the degradation of Drosophila salivary gland,the transcription of mitochondria apoptosis factors(MAPFs),Cyt-c,and death-associated APAF1-related killer(Dark)encoding genes are all upregulated antecedent to initiator and effector caspases encoding *** proteins Cyt-c and the active caspase 3 appear gradually in the cytoplasm during salivary gland ***,the Cyt-c protein colocates with mito-GFP,the marker indicating cytoplasmic mitochondria,and the change in mitochondrial membrane potential coincides with the appearance of Cyt-c in the ***,impeding or promoting 20E-induced transcription factor E93 suppresses or enhances the staining of Cyt-c and the active caspase 3 in the cytoplasm of salivary gland,and accordingly decreases or increases the mitochondrial membrane potential,*** research provides evidence that cytoplasmic Cyt-c appears before apoptosis during Drosophila salivary gland degradation,shedding light on partial conserved mechanism in apoptosis between insects and mammals.

nitrous oxide(n_(2)O)is a long-lived greenhouse gas that mainly originates from agricultural *** and more studies have explored the sources,influencing factors and effective mitigation measures of n_(2)O in recent ***,the hierarchy of factors influencing n_(2)O emissions from agricultural soils at the global scale remains *** this study,we carry out correlation and structural equation modeling analysis on a global n_(2)O emission dataset to explore the hierarchy of influencing factors affecting n_(2)O emissions from the nitrogen(n)and non-n fertilized upland farming systems,in terms of climatic factors,soil properties,and agricultural *** results show that the average n_(2)O emission intensity in the n fertilized soils(17.83 g n ha^(-1)d^(-1))was significantly greater than that in the non-n fertilized soils(5.34 g n ha^(−1) d^(−1))(plimate factors and agricultural practices are the most important influencing factors on n_(2)O emission in non-n and n fertilized upland soils,*** different climatic zones,without fertilizer,the primary influence factors on soil n_(2)O emissions are soil physical properties in subtropical monsoon zone,whereas climatic factors are key in the temperate *** fertilizer,the primary influence factors for subtropical monsoon and temperate continental zones are soil physical properties,while agricultural measures are the main factors in the temperate monsoon *** enhanced agricultural practices,such as reduced n fertilizer rate combined with the addition of nitrification and urease inhibitors can potentially mitigate n_(2)O emissions by more than 60%in upland farming systems.

Hotspots and trends of risk factors in gastric cancer: A visualization and bibliometric analysis

BACKGROUnD The lack of specific symptoms of gastric cancer(GC)causes great challenges in its early *** it is essential to identify the risk factors for early diagnosis and treatment of GC and to improve the survival *** To assist physicians in identifying changes in the output of publications and research hotspots related to risk factors for GC,constructing a list of key risk factors,and providing a reference for early identification of patients at high risk for *** Research articles on risk factors for GC were searched in the Web of Science core collection,and relevant information was extracted after *** literature was analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2019,CiteSpace V,and VOSviewer *** A total of 2514 papers from 72 countries and 2507 research institutions were ***(n=1061),national Cancer Center(n=138),and Shoichiro Tsugane(n=36)were the most productive country,institution,or author,*** research hotspots in the study of risk factors for GC are summarized in four areas,namely:Helicobacter pylori(***)infection,single nucleotide polymorphism,bio-diagnostic markers,and GC risk prediction *** In this study,we found that *** infection is the most significant risk factor for GC;single-nucleotide polymorphism(SnP)is the most dominant genetic factor for GC;bio-diagnostic markers are the most promising diagnostic modality for *** risk prediction models are the latest current research *** conclude that the most important risk factors for the development of GC are *** infection,SnP,smoking,diet,and alcohol.

Adjustments in foliar photoprotective pigments are crucial for plant adaptation to harsh environments,serving as indicators of environmental ***,understanding when and where these adjustments occur across diverse biomes remains unclear due to challenges in large-scale ***,we propose a novel approach to assess dynamics in photoprotective pigments at the canopy level using a new index derived from spaceborne optical *** approach generates a global map depicting the daily mean shortwave radiation threshold at which adjustments typically occur under prevailing climatic *** global average of this threshold is 262±50 W m⁻2,with lower values at high latitudes and peaks near 40in both *** exerts a stronger influence on this latitudinal pattern than *** projections suggest a decrease in this threshold over northern high latitudes,implying exacerbated vulnerability under identical radiation levels due to negative warming *** on this threshold,a high-stress zone around 60n is identified and is predicted to shift southward in the *** findings bridge critical gaps in photoprotection research and offer a new perspective on understanding the biogeochemical cycles of global *** framework can also enhance our ability to predict the fate of diverse ecosystems under future climate.
