It is an undeniable fact that systematic reviews play a crucial role in informing clinical practice;however,conventional head-to-head meta-analyses do have *** particular,studies can only be compared in a pair-wise fashion,and conclusions can only be drawn in the light of direct *** contrast,network meta-analyses can not only compare multiple interventions but also utilize indirect evidence which increases their *** top of that,they can also rank competing *** this mini-review,we have aimed to elaborate on the principles and techniques governing network meta-analyses to achieve a methodologically sound synthesis,thus enabling safe conclusions to be drawn in clinical *** have emphasized the prerequisites of a well-conducted Network Meta-Analysis(NMA),the value of selecting appropriate outcomes according to guidelines for transparent reporting,and the clarity achieved via sophisticated graphical *** is more,we have addressed the importance of incorporating the level of evidence into the results and interpreting the findings according to validated appraisal systems(i.e.,the Grade of Recommendations,Assessment,Development,and Evaluation system-GRADE).Lastly,we have addressed the possibility of planning future research via ***,we can conclude that NMAs could be of great value to clinical practice.

Unusual Head Trauma: About Three Observations at the Chu Pr Bocar Sidy Sall (BSS) of Kati

Introduction: Penetrating head injuries are often due to human-to-human violence, mainly by firearms, those by stab are rare. CT is the exam of choice in the assessment of emergency lesions. We report three observations, all victims of knife assault during the brawl in order to clarify the contribution of DTM in the care. Observations: 1) Mr. I S, 21-year-old, student, was admitted with the hillside implanted in the skull. There were traces of blood on his face and clothes. There was no neurological deficit on examination. The CT scan performed showed the knife penetrating the vault of the skull at the left parietal level, up to 5 cm in the cerebral parenchyma with a minimal subdural and intracerebral hematoma;2) Mr. S C, 43-year-old, farmer, admitted with a large left fronto-temporo-parietal wound, bleeding and right hemiplegia. The CT scan performed showed a frontal linear fracture (with fronto-ethmoid hemosinus) and left temporoparietal with a parietal intraparenchymal hematoma and homolateral frontoparietal subdural hematoma;3) Mr. S B: 40 years old, driver, admitted with a parietal wound. The CT scan performed objectified a left parietal cortical hematoma in relation to a metallic foreign body (3000 HU) corresponding to the distal end of the knife penetrating the vault of the skull. They all underwent emergency surgery and received antibiotics and preventive serotherapy. The postoperative follow-up was simple, the follow-ups are without neurological sequelae. Conclusion: Head trauma by knife is rare, it results from inter-human violence. The lesion diagnosis is computed tomography. The prognosis depends on the severity.

Hysterosalpingography Profile of Utero-Tubal Lesions in Female Infertility in Mopti (Mali, West Africa)

Introduction: Infertility is the inability to achieve pregnancy after 12 months of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse by a couple of childbearing age. It is a real public health problem because of its high prevalence in both developed and developing countries. Female infertility occupies a prominent place in reproductive health in Africa such as in our country Mali. The objective of this work was to determine the hysterosalpingography profile of utero-tubal lesions in the etiological research of female infertility in Mopti. Materials and Method: This was a cross-sectional descriptive study covering a period of one year from January 2019 to December 2019 in the radiology department of Sominé Dolo Hospital in Mopti. The variables analyzed were patient age and hysterosalpingography results. The hysterosalpingography examination was performed 3 or 4 days after menstruation on a remote-controlled table under fluoroscopic control. Data analysis was done with the aid of SPSS version 22 and Excel 2016 software. Results: During the study period, 9012 patients were seen in the imaging department, including 115 patients, or 1.3% for infertility assessment. The 25 - 29 age group was the most represented with 34 patients or 29.6%. The mean was 30.39 ± 6.96 years with extremes of 17 and 46 years. Tubal abnormalities represented 45 cases or 39.1%. Hydrosalpinx was the most prevalent with 26 cases or 36.6%. Conclusion: Tubal lesions were the most observed, especially hydrosalpinx following. Hysterosalpingography remains the first choice in the radiological assessment of female infertility in our context.

Primary Multiple Cerebral Hydatid Cyst in 8 Year-Old Girl: A Rare Cause of Childhood Seizure

Background: Cystic echinococcosis is a zoonotic infection that occurs worldwide. Humans are infected through ingestion of parasite eggs in contaminated food, water or through direct contact with infected dogs, which are the definite host. Humans serve accidentally as intermediate host, and occurrences are common in children and young adults. Cystic echinococcosis is endemic in Mediterranean, South American, Middle Eastern, Central Asia, East Africa countries and Australia. Multiple cerebral hydatid cysts are very rare with only a few reports in the literature. Case Description: We present the case of an 8-year-old girl who presented with focal seizures, hemiparesis, headache, vomiting and bilateral optic atrophy. Diagnostic workup was performed, and magnetic resonance imaging revealed multiple intracranial cysts predominantly in the right frontal region with significant mass effect. A total of 11 intracranial cysts were removed surgically, and the child recovered uneventfully. Conclusion: Neurosurgeons should keep hydatidosis in the list of differentials when evaluating patients with cystic diseases of the brain. Although the removal of such cysts is challenging, outcomes are excellent when cysts are evacuated without rupture and patients show complete resolution of symptoms.

Stimulation of oval cell and hepatocyte proliferation by exogenous bombesin and neurotensin in partially hepatectomized rats

AIM:To investigate the effect of the neuropeptides bombesin(BBS)and neurotensin(NT)on oval cell proliferation in partially hepatectomized rats not pretreated with a known hepatocyte ***:Seventy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups:Ⅰ=controls,Ⅱ=sham operated,Ⅲ=partial hepatectomy 70%(PHx),Ⅳ=PHx+ BBS(30μg/kg per day),Ⅴ=PHx+NT(300μg/kg per day).Forty eight hours after liver resection,portal en-dotoxin levels and hepatic glutathione redox state were determined.α-fetoprotein(AFP)mRNA(in situ hybridisation),cytokeratin-19 and Ki67 antigen expression (immunohistochemistry)and apoptosis(TUNEL)were evaluated on liver tissue *** with morphological features of oval cells that were cytokeratin-19 (+)and AFP mRNA(+)were scored in morphometric analysis and their proliferation was *** addition,the proliferation and apoptotic rates of hepatocytes were ***:In the control and sham operated groups,oval cells were significantly less compared to groups Ⅲ,ⅣandⅤ(P<0.001).The neuropeptides BBS and NT significantly increased the proliferation of oval cells compared to groupⅢ(P<0.001).In addition,BBS and NT induced a significant increase of hepatocyte proliferation(P<0.001),whereas it decreased their apoptotic activity(P<0.001)compared to groupⅢ.BBS and NT significantly decreased portal endotoxemia (P<0.001)and increased the hepatic GSH:GSSG ratio (P<0.05 and P<0.001,respectively)compared to groupⅢ.CONCLUSION:BBS and NT stimulated oval cell proliferation in a model of liver regeneration,without use of concomitant suppression of hepatocyte proliferation as oval cell activation stimuli,and improved the hepatocyte regenerative *** peptides-induced combined stimulation of oval cell and hepatocyte proliferation might serve as a possible treatment modality for several liver diseases.

Water management in morocco faces significant challenges in both levels, quality and quantity, in order to address these challenges and to secure the rational and efficient management of water resources, it is necessary to try to understand the different issues involved in the water cycle works! The large number of hydrological studies and techniques used at the Sebou watershed are limited to water quality, and the use of the simpler empirical models, that, do not permit to take into consideration all the factors affecting flow and cycle of water. In the purpose of using the hydrological model SWAT to study the hydrological functioning of the Sebou watershed (Morocco) which faces many problems regarding the management of its water resources like all the other watersheds in our country, this study focuses on the creation, organization and generation of input data (soil, soil occupation, climate…) using a GIS (ARCGIS) then, the configuration and calibration of the model and after that, the evaluation of the results. The main reason behind this work is to measure the adaptability of this model to the selected area in order to generalize the model to the whole Sebou watershed. The results are satisfying;they show that this model can represent the overall hydrological regime of the pilot basin Bab-Merzouka. This model can open up new perspectives regarding the effects of climate change, and the changes caused by humans on water resources, in terms of both quantity and quality.

Extra-Axial Anaplastic Pleomorphic Xanthoastrocytoma Mimicking Meningioma: A Case Report with Literature Review

Background: A number of meningeal neoplastic lesions may radiologically and clinically simulate meningioma, include hemangiopericytomas, solitary fibrous tumors, schwannomas, hematolymphoid lesions, metastases, and others very rarely, also may clinically mimic meningiomas. Case Description: We present the case of A 28-year-old male patient, with no notable medical history, who presented with worsening headaches for 3 months, imbalance, and visual deficits, An initial MRI revealed extra-axial lesion involving the right Parieto-occipital, The tumor was hypointense on T1-weighted MR images, hyperintense signals on T2-weightedMR images, and heterogeneously enhanced suggestive of a meningioma, total resection was achieved, and the histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of an angioblastic meningioma. However, 15 months later, the patient presented with the same initial visual complaints. A subsequent MRI showed lesion recurrence, leading to a second surgical intervention. The histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of an anaplastic xanthoastrocytoma. Conclusion: This represents an unusual location for an anaplastic pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma, which should broaden the differential diagnosis of extra-axial lesions.

We demonstrate the possibility of post-fabrication trimming of the response of nitrogen-rich silicon nitride racetrack resonators by using an ultraviolet *** results revealed the possibility to efficiently tune the operating wavelength of fabricated racetrack resonators to any point within the full free spectral *** process is much faster than similar,previously presented methods(in the order of seconds,compared to hours).This technique can also be applied to accurately trim the optical performance of any other silicon photonic device based on nitrogen-rich silicon nitride.
