Hydrocarbon precursor such as methane has been widely used to grow graphene films and the methods of growing quality graphene films are dominated by thermal CVD （chemical vapor deposition） system. Graphene films grown by plasma process are generally highly defective which in turns degrade the quality of the films. Here, using a green precursor, camphor we demonstrate a simple and economical method to get high-quality graphene film on copper substrate by micro wave surface-wave plasma CVD at relatively low temperature 550℃. Graphene film grown using camphor shows superior quality than that of the film grown using methane. Results revealed that camphor precursor is a good alternative to hydrocarbon precursors for graphene research.

The energy demand of 21 century is significantly high due to the increase of world population and the advancement in science and technology. Most of the energy demand of the world has been fulfilled by fossil fuels and nuclear power. The excessive use of fossil fuels has caused the environmental problems in many countries of the world. The oil crisis of the 1970s coupled with the continual decline of fossil fuels reserves made us aware that alternative sources of renewable energy are necessary in order to ensure the world’s energy needs of the immediate future. Photovoltaic (PV) energy is attractive and reliable among the alternative energy sources, and widespread use of it could fulfill the future energy demand without having environmental problems. As a clean energy technology, PV energy can indeed promote sustainable economic development. Nevertheless, most of the primary energy still depends on fossil fuels and current utilization of renewable energy is negligibly small, except for hydropower. There is a forecast that the world primary energy supply in 2030, will increase to over 1.5 times as much as that in 2000 due to the world economic growth and population increase. In addition, energy demand in developing countries will increase significantly. In addition to the energy crisis problem, the massive consumption of fossils fuels with its resulting CO emissions has caused the problem of global warming. The purpose of our research is to illustrate estimated long-term cost of a PV module and a thermal energy system powered by fossil fuels.

＜正＞ Nitrogenated amorphous carbon （a-C:N） thin films were grown on p-type silicon and quartz substrates by microwave surface wave plasma chemical vapor deposition （CVD） with various gas composition pressures （GCP）. The deposited a-C:N films were characterized for their optical, structural and electrical properties through UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopy, X-rays photoelectron spectroscopy, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and solar simulator measurements. Optical absorption coefficient is decreased with increasing GCP. The roughness of the a-C:N is found to be very smooth （about 0.50 nm）. The film deposited at 90 Pa exhibited relatively good photovoltaic action compared to the films deposited at other GCPs.

NiMZn/C@melamine sponge-derived carbon(MSDC)composites(M=Co,Fe,and Mn)were prepared by a vacuum pump-ing solution method followed by carbonization.A large number of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)homogeneously attached to the surfaces of the three-dimensional cross-linked of the sponge-derived carbon in the NiCoZn/C@MSDC composite,and CNTs were detected in the NiFeZn/C@MSDC and NiMnZn/C@MSDC ***_(3)ZnC_(0.7),Ni_(3)Fe,and MnO in-situ formed in the NiFeZn/C@MSDC and NiMnZn/C@MSDC *** CNTs in the NiCoZn/C@MSDC composite efficiently modulated its complex ***,the composite exhibited the best performance among the composites,with the minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of-33.1 dB at 18 GHz and thickness of 1.4 *** bandwidth for RL of≤-10 dB was up to 5.04 GHz at the thickness of 1.7 mm and loading of 25wt%.The op-timized impedance matching,enhanced interfacial and dipole polarization,remarkable conduction loss,and multiple reflections and scat-tering of the incident microwaves improved the microwave absorption *** effects of Co,Ni,and Fe on the phase and mor-phology provided an alternative way for developing highly efficient and broadband microwave absorbers.

Nitrogen is an indispensable element for life because it is a constituent of amino acids and a key constituent for various materials,as well as fine *** molecules occupy~80%of the atmosphere but are chemically inert due to the strength of the NN triple bond and absence of *** nonpolar nature makes N_(2)totally different from CO with an isoelectronic diatomic structure in ***,it was a challenge in chemistry to activate N_(2)to transform it into chemically usable molecules,such as NH_(3)and NO_(x).The Haber-Bosch(HB)process for the synthesis of NH_(3)from N_(2)and H_(2),which was established in 1913,marked the first practical chemical process of nitrogen fixation through extensive fundamental chemical research and much engineering ingenuity[1,2].This success of the industrial process saves human civilization from a hunger *** then,the HB process has been the predominant method for industrial NH_(3)*** annual NH_(3)production has reached180 million tons globally,which makes it the most mass-produced chemical comparable to methanol.

BACKGROUND ATP sensitive K+(K_(ATP))channels are ubiquitously distributed in various of cells and tissues,including the *** play a role in the pathogenesis of myocardial and liver *** To evaluate the radiation-induced changes in the expression of K_(ATP)channel subunits in the mouse liver to understand the potential role of K_(ATP)channels in radiation *** Adult C57BL/6 mice were randomly exposed toγ-rays at 0 Gy(control,n=2),0.2 Gy(n=6),1 Gy(n=6),or 5 Gy(n=6).The livers were removed 3 and 24 h after radiation *** and eosin staining was used for morphological observation;immunohistochemical staining was applied to determine the expression of K_(ATP)channel subunits in the liver *** Compared with the control group,the livers exposed to 0.2 Gyγ-ray showed an initial increase in the expression of Kir6.1 at 3 h,followed by recovery at 24 h after *** to a high dose of 5.0 Gy resulted in decreased expression of Kir6.1 and increased expression of SUR2B at 24 ***,the expression of Kir6.2,SUR1,or SUR2A had no remarkable changes at 3 and 24 h after exposure to any of these *** The expression levels of Kir6.1 and SUR2B in mouse liver changed differently in response to different radiation doses,suggesting a potential role for them in radiation-induced liver injury.

Sensing characteristics of a precision aligner using moire gratings for precision alignment sysem has been investigated. A differential moire alignment system and a modified alignment system were used. The influence of the setting accuracy of the gap length and inclination of gratings on the alignment accuracy has been studied experimentally and theoretically. Setting accuracy of the gap length less than 2.5μm is required in modified moire alignment. There is no influence of the gap length on the alignment accuracy in the differential alignment system. The inclination affects alignment accuracies in both differential and modified moire alignment systems.

Ba ckground The prognosis of elderly patients with chronic total occlusion (CTO) and diabetes mellitus (DM) treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is not known. Objective To investigate the effect of diabetes on long-term follow-up of CTO after PCI in elderly *** A total of 153 elderly patients (age > 65 years old) with CTO lesions which were successfully treated with PCI were enrolled. Fifty one patients with diabetes and 102 without diabetes were compared for long-term outcomes (mean follow up: 36 ±12 months). Major adverse cardiac events (MACE) which include death, myocardial infarction or target lesion revascularization (TLR) were considered as a combined endpoint. Results The combined endpoint occurred in 29.4% of diabetes patients, and 11.3% of the patients without diabetes (P < 0.05). The Cox proportional hazards model identified: drug eluting stent (DES) or bare metal stent (BMS) (HR: 0.13, 95% confidence interval (95%CI): 0.03–0.62, P = 0.004), DM(HR: 6.69, 95% CI: 1.62–15.81, P = 0.01) and final minimal lumen diameter (MLD) (HR: 0.37, 95% CI: 0.13–0.90, P = 0.03 ) as independent predictors of MACE, DM with renal impairment (HR: 6.64, 95% CI: 1.32–33.36, P = 0.02), HBA1C on admission (HR: 1.79, 95% CI: 1.09–2.94, P = 0.02), as independent predictors of MACE at long term follow-up. Conclusions The study demonstrates that DMis a predictive factor for MACE in elderly CTOpatients treatedwith PCI, type of stent, final minimal lumen diameter and DMwith renal impairment, and HBA1C level on admission are predictors of MACE.

Confirming Stereochemical Structures of Strigolactones Produced by Rice and Tobacco

Major strigolactones （SLs） produced by rice （Oryza sativa L. cv. Nipponbare） and tobacco （Nicotiana tabacum L. cv. Michinoku No. 1） were purified and their stereochemical structures were determined by comparing with optically pure synthetic standards for their NMR and CD data and retention times and mass fragmentations in ESI-LC/MS and GC-MS. SLs purified from root exudates of rice plants were orobanchol, orobanchyl acetate, and ent-2＂-epi-5-deoxystr- igol. In addition to these SLs, 7-oxoorobanchyl acetate and the putative three methoxy-5~deoxystrigol isomers were detected by LC-MS/MS. The production of 7-oxoorobanchyl acetate seemed to occur in the early growth stage, as it was detected only in the root exudates collected during the first week of incubation. The root exudates of tobacco contained at least 11 SLs, including solanacol, solanacyl acetate, orobanchol, ent-2＂-epi-orobanchol, orobanchyl acetate, ent-2＇- epi-orobanchyl acetate, 5-deoxystrigol, ent-2＂-epi-5-deoxystrigol, and three isomers of putative didehydro-orobanchol whose structures remain to be clarified. Furthermore, two sorgolactone isomers but not sorgolactone were detected as minor SLs by LC-MS/MS analysis. It is intriguing to note that rice plants produced only orobanchol-type SLs, derived from ent-2＂-epi-5-deoxystrigol, but both orobanchol-type and strigol-type SLs, derived from 5-deoxystrigol were detected in tobacco plants.
