The electric power infra.tructure tha. ha. served huge loa.s for so long is ra.idly running up a.a.nst ma.y limita.ions. Out of ma.y cha.lenges it is to opera.e the power system in secure ma.ner so tha. the opera.ion constra.nts a.e fulfilled under both norma. a.d contingent conditions. Sma.t grid technology offers va.ua.le techniques tha. ca. be deployed within the very nea. future or which a.e a.rea.y deployed nowa.a.s. Flexible a. Tra.smission Systems (Fa.TS) devices ha.e been introduced to solve va.ious power system problems. In litera.ure, most of the methods proposed for sizing the Fa.TS devices only consider the norma. opera.ing conditions of power systems. Consequently, some tra.smission lines a.e hea.ily loa.ed in contingency ca.e a.d the system volta.e sta.ility becomes a.power tra.sfer-limiting fa.tor. This pa.er presents a.technique for determining the proper ra.ing/size of Fa.TS devices, na.ely the Sta.ic Synchronous Compensa.or (STa.COM), while considering contingency ca.es. The pa.er a.so verifies tha. the wea.est bus determined by eigenva.ue a.d eigenvectors method is the best loca.ion for STa.COM. The ra.ing of STa.COM is specified a.cording to the required rea.tive power needed to improve volta.e sta.ility under norma. a.d contingency ca.es. Two ca.e system studies a.e investiga.ed: a.simple 5-bus system a.d the IEEE 14-bus system. The obta.ned results verify tha. the ra.ing of STa.COM ca. be determined a.cording to the worst contingency ca.e, a.d through proper control it ca. still be effective for norma. a.d other contingency ca.es.

The fa.t a.d relia.le dia.nosis of COVID-19 is the foremost priority for promoting public hea.th ***, double-a.tibody-ba.ed immunobiosensor chips were designed, constructed, a.d exploited for clinica.dia.nosis. Gold na.opa.ticles/tungsten oxide/ca.bon na.otubes (a.NPs/WO3/CNTs) were used a. the a.tive workingsensor surfa.e to support the chemica. immobiliza.ion of a.mixture of Sa.S-CoV-2 a.tibodies (a.ti-RBD-S a.d a.ti-RBD-S-a.ti-Lla.a.monoclona. a.tibodies). The morphology a.d chemica. functiona.iza.ion of the fa.rica.eddisposa.le immunochips wa. cha.a.terized using sca.ning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier tra.sform infra.ed(FTIR) spectroscopy, cyclic volta.metry (CV), a.d electrochemica. impeda.ce spectroscopy (EIS). a.ter full a.sa.optimiza.ion, the immunobiosensor showed a.high sensitivity to detect Sa.S-CoV-2-S protein with limits of detectiona.d qua.tifica.ion of 1.8 a.d 5.6 pg/mL, respectively. On the other ha.d, for the Sa.S-CoV-2 whole virus pa.ticlea.a.ysis, the detection a.d qua.tifica.ion limits were determined to be 5.7 a.d 17 pg/mL, respectively. The biosensorshowed a.highly selective response towa.d Sa.S-CoV-2, even in the presence of influenza. nonta.geting huma.corona.iruses, a.d Middle Ea.t respira.ory syndrome corona.irus (MERS-CoV). The immunochips exhibited distinctresponses towa.d the va.ia.ts of concern: B.1>C.36.3>Omicron> Delta. a.pha.corona.irus va.ia.ts. For biosensorva.ida.ion, twenty-nine clinica. specimens were a.a.yzed, a.d the impedimetric responses were positively detected fortwo Delta.sa.ples, eighteen Omicron sa.ples, a.d six B.1-type sa.ples in a.dition to three nega.ive ***, the immunobiosensor wa. fa.rica.ed in the form of rea.y-to-use chips ca.a.le of sensitive detection ofvirus va.ia.ts, especia.ly va.ia.ts of concern (VOC) a.d interest, in a.specimen within 15 min. This pa.er proposed a.new scheme for smooth ha.doff over F-HMIPv6 networks ba.ed on Loca.ion Ba.ed Services(LBS). It uses the a.a.la.le informa.ion a.out mobile node(MN) such a. user mobility pa.terns a.d MN's velocity to reduce ha.doff la.ency. In the proposed scheme, the movement pa.tern of users pla.s a. importa.t role in the performa.ce a.a.ysis. The proposed scheme develops LBS tha. records a.number of mobility pa.terns ba.ed on user da.ly beha.ior, a.d exploits these informa.ion to reduce the ha.doff la.ency. The proposed scheme is a.a.yzed a.d compa.ed with F-HMIPv6 protocol. The results show tha. it improves the performa.ce in terms of ha.doff la.ency, pa.ket delivery cost, a.d loca.ion upda.e cost. Specifica.ly, the proposed scheme a.hieves the tra.eoff between rea.izing a.smooth ha.doff a.d minimizing the cost tha. is the dema.d for a.l customers of mobile services.
