The μi-T curves of the alloy Fe73.5Cu1 Nb3Si13.5B9 in the amorphous state and in the nanocrys-talline state have been investigated. For comparison, μi-T curves of the other two kinds of typical soft magnetic alloys also have been measured. It was found that a sharp Hopkinson peak appeared at the Curie point for each amorphous and crystalline alloy but there was no Hopkinson peak for the nanocrystalline alloy at the Curie point of the residual amorphous phase. This phenomenon has been explained in terms of the characteristic temperature dependence of the effective magnetic anisotropy.

The mitigation of sulphation and parasitic hydrogen evolution is considered as prominent research emphasis for the development of lead-carbon batteries(LCBs)in large-scale energy storage ***,cooperative Pb-C composites consisting of single atom Pb and carbon-encapsulated PbO nanoparticles were prepared by freeze-drying technique and pyrolytic reduction to address above *** innovative use of Pb^(2+)to cross-link sodium alginate enabled a uniform distribution of Pb in the composites,generating Pb-C-PbO three-phase *** analysis and theoretical calculations revealed the synergistic interactions between single-atom Pb and PbO nanoparticles in suppressing parasitic hydrogen evolution and promoting the adsorption of Pb *** presence of monatomic Pb and PbO enhanced the affinity of the composites for the negative active materials and facilitated the transformation of the active materials from bulk into spherical shapes to enhance the specific surface area,thereby counteracting *** the coordinated integration of various functionalities offered by Pb@C-x,the cycle life of the battery at HRPSoC reaches 7025 cycles,which is two times for LCB with pure carbon ***,the discharge capacity increased from 3.52 to 3.79 *** study provides substantial insights into the construction of Pb-C composites for LCBs to inhibit negative sulphation and hydrogen evolution.

Phosphorus(P)is involved in various biochemical reactions in plant growth,so it is beneficial to plants growing in soils contaminated by metals,including cadmium(Cd).However,few studies have reported on the mechanistic roles of P in mitigating Cd toxicity to ryegrass root,and especially in alleviating the disruption of the mitochondrial function of living *** this study,the physiological and biochemical mechanisms associated with ryegrass growth under various Cd and P treatments were investigated using leaching and pot *** concentration of Cd in soil leachates showed a significantly positive relationship with redox potential(Phe control(without P addition),the cumulative Cd content was reduced by 53.3%and 64.5%in the soil leachate with exogenous P application(20 mg/L and 80 mg/L),***,application of P decreased the Cd concentrations in the symplastic fractions and increased the Cd concentrations in the apoplastic fractions in root tips,which may help to alleviate Cd stress to the ***,exogenous P was found to play a positive role in mitochondrial function and Ca^(2+)variation in root cells under Cd stress,which provides novel insights into the mechanisms of exogenous P in alleviating plant Cd injury.

Experimental scratch tests and first-principles calculations were used to investigate the adhesion property of AlCrNbSiTi high-entropy alloy(heA)coatings on zirconium *** heA and Cr coatings were deposited on Zr alloy substrates using multi-arc ion plating technology,and scratch tests were subsequently conducted to estimate the adhesion property of the *** results indicated that Cr coatings had better adhesion strength than heA coatings,and the heA coatings showed *** special quasi-random structure approach was used to build heA models,and Cr/Zr and heA/Zr interface models were employed to investigate the cohesion between the coatings and Zr substrate using first-principles *** calculated interface energies showed that the cohesion between the Cr coating and the Zr substrate was stronger than that of the heA coating with *** contrary to Al or Si in the heA coating,Cr,Nb,and Ti atoms binded strongly with Zr *** on the calculated elastic constants,it was found that low Cr and high Al content decreased the mechanical performances of heA ***,this study demonstrated the utilization of a combined approach involving first-principles calculations and experimental studies for future heA coating development.

Flooding is one of the most devastating natural disasters that affects communities *** early May 2023,catastrophic floods swept through Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo,leading to over 600 deaths and displacing *** climate change is supercharging extreme rainfall worldwide,similar floods could further *** developing regions with limited resources to build flood defenses,accurate flood forecasting with sufficient lead time is a cost-effective adaptation strategy to mitigate flood ***,the lack of ground measurements in these regions hinders our understanding of flood-generating mechanisms,thereby limiting our ability to build better models for improved flood forecasts.

The correlation between Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)infection and nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)risk has been extensively *** continual monitoring of EBV-IgAs provides a promising approach of NPC screening in its early *** this study,we successfully synthesized a single-atom nanozyme(SANzyme)through the application of iron-porphyrin based metal organic framework(MOF-FeP).The MOF-FeP possesses precisely-defined electronic and geometric structures that accurately mimic highly-evolved catalytic site of natural *** peroxidase-like activity of MOF-FeP enables it to catalyze the chemiluminescence of luminol *** integrating MOF-FeP into a traditional strip,we created a rapid and highly-sensitive evaluation tool for detecting ***,the MOF-FeP strip enables the simultaneous detection of three EBV-IgAs,greatly improving the accuracy of EBV-associated NPC *** sensitivities of the MOF-FeP strip(75.56%–93.30%)surpass those of current enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)methods(64.44%–82.22%).This test takes only 16 min to perform as opposed to the customary 1–2 h required for standard ***,the MOF-FeP strip is suitable for whole blood samples,thereby significantly simplifying the sample preparation and detection *** conclusion,the MOF-FeP strip combines the simplicity of traditional strip with the high catalytic activity of *** innovative MOF-FeP strip offers a new point-of-care strategy for EBV-IgAs detection,which is expected to markedly facilitate early screening for EBV-associated diseases.
