Effect of RF power on the structural and optical properties of ZnS thin films prepared by RF-sputtering

Zinc sulphide(ZnS) thin films have grown on glass and Si substrates by reactive cathodic radio frequency(RF) sputtering. The RF power was varied in the range of 100 to 250 W, while the deposition time is set at75 min. The optical, structural, and morphological properties of these thin films have been studied. The optical properties(mainly thickness, refractive index,absorption coefficient, and optical band gap) were investigated by optical transmittance measurements in the wavelength range of ultraviolet-visible-near infrared spectroscopy and spectroscopy infrared with Fourier transform. Fourier(FT-IR) and XRD analysis indicated that all sputtering ZnS films had a single-phase with a preferred orientation along the(111) plane of the zinc sphalerite phase(ZB). The crystallite size ranged from 11.5 to 48.5 nm with RF power getting a maximum of 200 W. UV-visible measurements exhibited that the ZnS film had more than 80% transmission in the visible wavelength region. In addition, it has been observed that the band gap energy of ZnS films is decreased slightly from 3.52 to 3.29 eV, and as the RF power is increased, the film thickness increases with the speed of deposit growth. Scanning electron microscopy observations revealed the types of smooth-surfaced films. The measurements(FT-IR) revealed at wave number1118 and 465.02 cmabsorption bands corresponding to the symmetrical and asymmetric vibration of the Zn-S stretching mode. X-ray reflectometry measurements of ZnS films have shown that the density of the films is(3.9 g/cm~3) close to that of solid ZnS.

We synthesized Deltorphin I, Deltorphin II, and their L-Alanine analogs at position 2. The synthesis was carried out with SPPS and Boc strategy. The data, we got from FAB MS, AAA and sequence analysis were in agreement with the calculated values. We studied the 2D NMR for Deltorphin II and [L-Ala(2)]Deltorphin II in DMSO solution. The h-1-h-1 COSY and 2D NOESY spectra were resolved by computer treatment. The conformations of C-fragment tetrapeptides of Deltorphin II and its L-Ala analog might form a 3(10) alpha -helix. The molecular models of these two peptides were established.

Porous calcium phosphate ceramics were produced by compression molding using a special mold followed by sintering. The porous calcium phosphate ceramics have three-dimensional and penetrated open pores 380-400μm in diacneter spaced at intervals of 200μm. The layers of the linear penetration pores alternately lay perpendicular to pore direction. The porosity was 59%-65% . The Ca/ P molar ratios of the porous calcium phos phate ceramics range from 1.5 to 1.85. A binder cantaining methyl cellulose was most effective for preparing the powder compact among vinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, starch, stearic acid, methyl cellulose and their mixtures . Stainless steel, polystyrene, nylon and bamboo were used as the long columnar dies for the penetrated open pores. When polystyrene, nylon and bamboo were used as the long columnar male dies, the dies were burned oat during the sintering process. Using stainless steel as the male dies with the removal of the dies before heat treatment resulted in a higher level of densification of the calcium phosphate ceramic.

Grape seed extract(GSE)is considered one of the major byproducts,which are rich in phenolic content and possess several health-promoting activities including antibacterial,anticancer,and *** current research was devoted to improve the bioactive properties of stirred yoghurt through supplementation with GSE at three concentrations(0.1,0.25,and 0.5 g/100 g yoghurt).The obtained stirred yoghurts were analyzed for determining their composition,ph,syneresis,viscosity,and sensory ***,some functional properties including antioxidant,antibacterial,anticancer activities were *** increments(p≤0.05)were observed in total solids,ash contents,ph,water holding capacity,and viscosity values,especially when 0.5%GSE was ***,adding 0.5%GSE showed higher(p≤0.05)in vitro antioxidant,antibacterial,and anticancer ***,the improved bioactive properties resulting from adding GSE,even at the higher concentration,were not accompanied by any change in sensory *** particular,the color descriptor was mostly preferred by panelists when 0.5%GSE was *** assessors did not observe any off-flavors in any of the tested stirred yoghurt ***,the functional properties of stirred yoghurt could be improved by adding GSE preparation without affecting its organoleptic properties.
